Act of journalism is act of social practice. Therefore, judgment on its rightness must be a prerequisite. That is why journalism requires philosophy. Barrenness of journalism philosophy promotes journalism to serve only as an instrument. No power and money should intrude the essential philosophy of journalism. Journalism must secure its own value. Remaining silent when its fundamental value is at risk is to negate one's own value of existence. It is self-denial. Social practice of journalism is assurance and realization of its essential value. Thus, it is historical. It is the juncture of journalism and history. Journalism without history leads to barrenness in philosophy. Without philosophy, journalism thus cannot uphold its historical mission. Journalism philosophy becomes a reality through the history. Concrete journalism philosophy shall come to light through historical reality. That is why conversation between journalism philosophy and journalism history is necessary. Thus, this research investigates how journalism philosophy formulates and reconstructs itself within journalism history. At the same time, this research thoroughly examines how journalism philosophy concretizes in journalism history, how historical subjects have practiced journalism and how all these have projected themselves in journalism history.

Confucius made endless thoughts on such themes as enlightening for the internal value of human, how to draw out such value and how to make personal relationship in order to overcome the chaotic Chun-qiu age. The spirit of 'Harmony but not Sameness' stated by Confucius passes us the theoretical meaning for making a good relationship with the others, which is realization of Benevolence. The spirit of 'Harmony but not Sameness' pursues moral, public and golden-mean value. This pursuit is made to look for harmonization and coexistence in personal relation, community based relation and, furthermore, relation with the nature, so that a great man is an entirely-good person who has realized the spirit of 'Harmony but not Sameness'. The spirit of 'Harmony but not Sameness' throws to us many issues to think of for the social unity, 'living together', which is the central theme of today. The objects for which the 'living together' shall be embodied are the minor groups of our society and those who are relatively expelled from the power and benefit including multi-culture based families, north Korean refugees and etc. Such open mind for harmonization and coexistence gives us, furthermore, another important issue to think of also in the matter of environment that includes the ecosystem and the entire nature.

The problem of long range capacity expansion planing for chemical processing network under uncertain demand forecast secnarios is addressed. This optimization problem involves capactiy expansion timing and sizing of each chemical processing unit to maximize the expected net present value considering the deviation of net present values and the excess capacity over a given time horizon. A multiperiod mixed integer nonlinear programming optimization model that is both solution and modle robust for any realization of demand scenarios is developed using the two-stage stochastic programming algorithm. Two example problems are considered to illustrate the effectiveness of the model.

The study was designed to forecast and derive future core technologies using Delphi method for Korean livestock industry. The technologies will make livestock industJy a core and strategic industry that has high value-added sector in 21 century. Questions were given to specialists of each technology in order to survey importance, realization time. level of R&D in Korea and foremost countries, leading group of R&D, effective policy, etc. for each technology. The target of the survey for Delphi is confined to specialists in the area of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. 90 core technologies were derived and 62 specialists answered the questionnaire.

Digital media changed not only our lifestyle and sense of value but also art and space design, and development of technology will accelerate the alteration. It provided limitless possibility and inspiration to art, architecture and design. In this 'image' era, media communicate with us mostly in visual method, which gets to he realized by visual interface. The purpose of this study is to analyze the tendency of visual interface of contemporary interior design cases in the standpoint of digital media characteristics and suggest directions for future space design. The characteristics of digital media and interface are defined, and how the concept unfolded in art, design is also discussed. In interior design, the concepts come out as various types of visual interface, showing the characteristics of composition of material and immaterial, interaction between visual information and space users and among users, realization of cyberspace and simultaneous coexistence of multiple space-time multi-layer.

A first short stoke current which has a 10/350 ${\mu}s$ waveform is able to be generated by using the crowbar switch in R-L-C circuit. In this paper, a peaking circuit has been applied to make crowbar switch. Operate effective for generating 10/350 ${\mu}s$ waveform. According to simulation with PSpice, we have found that some value of inductance were more effective to trigger a crowbar switch. As a result of experimental test using crowbar switch with peaking circuit, the success rate of triggering crowbar switch is higher than the normal crowbar switch without peaking circuit.

The target of the survey for Delphi is confined specialists in the area of Bioystems Engineering. 55 core technologies were derived and 31 specialists answered the survey.

The e-business strategies ultimately pursue creating the maximal value for customers through the competitive advantages and business opportunities newly created on the basis of information technologies. For the realization of e-business strategies, the successful implementation and operation of e-business system must be the crucial activities in and out of an organization. Therefore, in physical world, there were lots of interests that what kind of key factors can lead the success of e-business system. Moreover, in the field of academia also, there have been many research results for investigating and finding out the key success factors for e-business system. However, the perceptual level of the significance of key success factors that organization members perceive can be changed over each phase of system life cycle such phases as introduction, growth, maturity, and decline. This study investigated that there might be significant differences in the perceptual level regarding importance of success factors among phases of system life cycle.

Recently, as change in global logistics environment, various issues have been presenting. These issues are including the pursuit of low cost-high added value, the realization of sustainable logistics system, the protection of environment, and the development of ubiquitous techniques. To cope with these environment changes and improve the national logistics system, the government have carried out various logistics policies and pushed ahead development of national logistics information network. But still, from a view-point of national logistics, there are several inefficient elements such as information connection and utilization, code/data standardization. In this paper, the survey result of global logistics environment change, logistics policy of a developed countries, domestic logistics policy and information system status will be presented. And from these status, suggestive points are mentioned. Finally the status of railway logistics information and future developments are presented.

An electronically Scannable microphone system is in the Planning stage. For this Purpose, a multiple microphone array with controllable delay is available. To achieve effective point-listening characteristics, we proposed an enclosed microphone array system with a complex weighting method. In this system, both the microphone arrangement and the value of the complex weighting are important. In this report, the construction of microphone array system and the signal-processing method are explained, and the calculation method for optimal complex weighting is also presented. A prototype experimental setup is designed and fabricated to verify the expected characteristics.
