A Study on Product Image Analysis and Design Expression Using Flowers (꽃을 소재로 한 상품이미지분석과 디자인 표현에 관한 연구)

  • Flowers are one of the most natural expressions of human expression. Recently, these flowers have been applied to various kinds of products to enhance their aesthetic value and to use them as artistic materials expressing their vitality. The purpose of this study is to investigate the formative characteristics of flowers that are visually beautiful and to express them visually through the fusion of various products used in daily life. Based on this research, we study the importance of emotional design that gives satisfaction to consumers and new design expression techniques. In addition, we pursue the aesthetic value of the product with naturalness and original design sense, and develop sensibility product design expressing design sensitivity by combining floral motif with various products based on expression of decoration using image of flower. I would like to suggest the possibility of development of sensible product design.

  • The purpose of this study is to pointed artistic representation design on fashion through observation, integrating of the formative arts. Above all, designing principle should be considered with trend, styling ,coloring. Suggested designing study is the essence of present methods. ① Clothing as an art ② Expression in fashion design ③ Creation of the artistic sense ④ The various techniques of design ⑤ Perform the steps of design (Ⅰ) ∼ (Ⅲ) That is to say, fashion is reflected in the spirit of painters as well as designers. Art is close and common relationship between individual will-to-form and the sense of value. Thus Art wear is represented the minute expression of designing the function with artistic originality.   • Painting, as an artistic creation with aesthetic characteristics, is inseparable from "shape". "Modeling" is a subjective way of expressing objects, and "black shape" is not only a way of expression, but also a way of composition. "Black shape" is a way of expressing the overall picture of the creator, and "black shape" extracted from the pattern analysis of black and white gray structure is a powerful means to deeply explore the emotions and thoughts of the painter. How to create the expression of subjective intention in the creation of artificial figure painting and to explore the beauty of picture form and the presentation of formal language in multiple dimensions is always sought by painters. Tang Dynasty political stability, economic and cultural development of unprecedented prosperity, "Toujian Diu" as a representative painting of Tang Dynasty, the figure is plump and realistic, colorful but elegant. It not only represents the aesthetic taste of the Tang Dynasty, but also reflects the overall style of the Tang Dynasty's artificial figure painting. The aim of this paper is to explore the value of "black shape" in "Toughen Diagram" and analyze its multi-component form in depth.

White Hanbok as an Expression of Resistance in Modern Korea

  • All aspects of clothing, including color, are a visible form of expression that carries invisible value. The purpose of this work is to study the expression of resistance in the white Hanbok in modern culture, specifically after the 1980s. Koreans have traditionally revered white color and enjoyed wearing white clothes. In Korea, white represents simplicity, asceticism, sadness, resistance against corruption, and the pursuit of innocence. This paper looks at: (i) the universal and traditional values of the color white, (ii) the significance of traditional white Korean clothing, (iii) the resistance characteristics of white in traditional Korean clothes, and (iv) the aesthetic values of white Hanbok. The white Hanbok often connotes resistance when it is worn in modern Korea. It is worn in folk plays, worn by shamans as a shamanist costume, worn by protestors for anti-establishment movements, and worn by social activists or progressive politicians. The fact that the white Hanbok has lost its position as an everyday dress in South Korea (instead symbolizing resistance when it is worn) is an unusual phenomenon. It shows that the white Hanbok, as a type of costume, is being used as a strong means of expression, following a change in the value of traditional costumes as it take on an expressive function.

A Study on the Characteristics of the Expressive Language of Contemporary Chinese Realistic Watercolour Painting

  • Watercolour painting was introduced to China over a hundred years ago, and in the last two decades, it has developed rapidly, presenting a situation of diversified development. While Western-style watercolour painting has been adopted by Chinese painters, they have also expanded on it with their own aesthetic awareness and cognitive styles. As a result, Chinese watercolour painting has developed a set of expressive techniques that highlight the cultural characteristics of the nation in terms of aesthetics, concepts and techniques, resulting in a painting style with a distinctive national personality at present. Although Chinese watercolour painting has taken on a variety of styles with the intervention of modern and contemporary art, realistic watercolour painting is still the mainstream. However, there are obvious differences between the "realism" of Chinese watercolour painting and the "realism" of Western watercolour painting in terms of expression. The most distinctive feature is the "imagery" language of expression, which is closely linked to the cultural heritage of Chinese tradition and is of great value for research. I interpret the aesthetics, composition, colour and brushwork of Chinese realistic watercolour painting from the perspective of traditional Chinese aesthetics in order to deepen the understanding of Chinese realistic watercolour painting and to provide a reference for the further development of the art of Chinese realistic watercolour painting.

  • The traditional culture, which is a historical product possessed by each country, represents the competitiveness of the country and becomes a national resource. Raw lacquer has a very long history and tradition in China. Lacquer, which is the basic material of Raw lacquer. Also it is a natural paint which has the functions of preservation, insectproof and waterproof used from ancient times in Asia, not only in China but also in Korea and Japan. Such Raw lacquer using lacquer has a long history and it is becomes to a tradition. On the other hand, Its value and meaning are being faded by oilpaintings and watercolors. Much effort and research are needed to become more popular. I would like to introduce the lacquering technique in illustration as one way. There are a lots of expression techniques in the present illustration, but lacquer expression is rarely seen. In the illustration, lacquering technique is a modern reinterpretation of traditional culture by combining modern technology with traditional culture. In this paper, a Raw lacquer with a long tradition of soul is informed to the public and it is a way to bring attention to the beauty of lacquer and reproduce the original expression technique as an illustration to enhance the understanding of traditional culture, I hope that Raw lacquer will be used in the field.

  • These days, by the accelerated developments of science and industries and the menaces of war and terror, humans have come to have instinct to recur and nostalgia to nature and thereby many art works and designs with natural objectives have begun to be produced. Also the design in 21st century requires creative products based on cultural speciality of the countries. As the examples, we may easily find the images of the countries from visual expressions or products when we get in touch with the products of so called advanced countries in design i. e. U.S.A. Japan, Germany, France, Italy, countries of Scandinavian peninsular. This study, in such stream of the times, was to express our culture's own originality on clothing design with butterfly that is one of natural thing as the material but limited the boundary to realistic butterflies in folk drawings of the times of Chosun. As for the technique of expression, used digital textile printing for best expression of the fine lines, realistic shapes and peculiar colors of the butterflies in Chosun folk drawings and used diverse materials as materials for printing for diversity of the designs. Thereby this thesis is purposed to grope the products with superior competitiveness in the world market by presenting the realistic butterflies in Chosun folk drawings as motives with cultural value native to Korea and applying them to clothing designs.

  • As the standard for the value of modern people's life increases, hotels make efforts for the users' qualitative and mental satisfaction. As an approach to hotel space design differentiated for new experiences for travelers, a design that reflects the placeness is needed so that people can experience the local culture and historical meaning of the place. Thus, this study divides the components of placeness into physical factors, socio-cultural factors, and semantic factors. As for methods for the design expression of placeness formation, physical factors are classified as the connection to surrounding environments, center, passage, and area. Socio-cultural factors are classified as cultural experiences in the place. Semantic factors are classified as symbolism and historicity. For a case analysis in this study, overseas four-star hotels or higher, where placeness stood out are analyzed, based on the above-extracted components of placeness. As a result of the analysis, the hotels in the cases showed an aspect of expression that emphasized semantic factors despite there were differences in the detailed expression method, depending on the designers. The expression of the place that reflected locality and temporality showed the connection of time, connecting the past with the present. In the future, only the design expression based on the historical and symbolic meanings of the place will be the experience that remains in the users' memories, very precisely.

  • Exaggeration is to express an object or a situation in an excessive way. As the desire for aesthetic expression grows greater today, we tended to focus on the exaggerative expression as a means to acquire other's attention and praise. Also people more actively express their own intention or opinion in an exaggerated manner. The purpose of this study is to identify the social and cultural functions of modern fashion via exaggerative expression, one of the formative characteristics, and its meaning. To do so, the exaggerative features of modern fashion have been analyzed, and the social and cultural meaning of those have been examined through the background of the times and aesthetic sense. The formative form in the exaggerative expression shown in the modern fashion was classified into a body priority type emphasizing woman's body contour, a body disregarded type shown oversized silhouette regardless of body contour and a body distorted type expressing free and diverse form in various shapes of asymmetry and imbalance. The symbolic meanings of those include the changing of the body consciousness and the notions of feminity, and the desire fur formative and playable expression. The exaggeration of the costume in history meant aesthetic value of the woman's body in the society led by men. However, the exaggerative expression shown in the modern fashion is a method to express more actively, as compared with the costume in the past.

  • Barrage language is a new media language based on Internet video. It is a representative expression of the Internet environment regardless of its format and content. As a unique movie viewing characteristic provided by the barrage function, the timeliness of feedback, entertainment, and interactivity of the content are excellent. Characteristic. Based on the current situation of Chinese video sites, this thesis explores how Barrage is an organic cycle of culture and consumption in a specific platform and group, and analyzes its propagation methods and effects.
