The detector of a focal-plane-array mid-wave infrared (MWIR) camera has different response characteristics for each detector pixel, resulting in nonuniformity between detector pixels. In addition, image nonuniformity occurs due to heat generation inside the camera during operation. To solve this problem, in the process of camera manufacturing it is common to use a gain-and-offset table generated from a blackbody to correct the difference between detector pixels. One method of correcting nonuniformity due to internal heat generation during the operation of the camera generates a new offset value based on input frame images. This paper proposes a technique for dividing an input image into block image patches and generating offset values using only homogeneous patches, to correct the nonuniformity that occurs during camera operation. The proposed technique may not only generate a nonuniformity-correction offset that can prevent motion marks due to camera-gaze movement of the acquired image, but may also improve nonuniformity-correction performance with a small number of input images. Experimental results show that distortion such as flow marks does not occur, and good correction performance can be confirmed even with half the number of input images or fewer, compared to the traditional method.

The paradigm of water cycle management in the watershed is changing due to the increase in abnormal climate phenomena caused by climate change and the increase in impervious area due to urbanization. Research is continuously underway based on Low Impact Development technology that can suppress water cycle distortion. In this study, factors that can reflect water cycle distortion were selected before applying LID, and the PSR index for each 148 watershed was calculated for the the Nakdonggang River basin. As of 1975, the PSR index is calculated by calculating the pressure index P, which represents the rate of change in impervious surface area to 2019, the phenomenon index S, which represents the rate of change in water cycle for each subwatershed, and the Low Impact Development area countermeasure index R. The lower PSR index value, the higher the priority management watershed, and the water cycle recovery priority management watershed was calculated in the order of 1, 2, 87, 90, 91, and 147. It is expected that the efficient application of low-impact development factors in accordance with the order of priority management of water cycle by subwatershed in the large area will contribute to the recovery of water cycle distortion.

Deep neural networks are widely used to solve various problems. In a fully connected neural network, the nonlinear activation function is a function that nonlinearly transforms the input value and outputs it. The nonlinear activation function plays an important role in solving the nonlinear problem, and various nonlinear activation functions have been studied. In this study, we propose a combined parametric activation function that can improve the performance of a fully connected neural network. Combined parametric activation functions can be created by simply adding parametric activation functions. The parametric activation function is a function that can be optimized in the direction of minimizing the loss function by applying a parameter that converts the scale and location of the activation function according to the input data. By combining the parametric activation functions, more diverse nonlinear intervals can be created, and the parameters of the parametric activation functions can be optimized in the direction of minimizing the loss function. The performance of the combined parametric activation function was tested through the MNIST classification problem and the Fashion MNIST classification problem, and as a result, it was confirmed that it has better performance than the existing nonlinear activation function and parametric activation function.
Purpose: This study has proved the intervention effects of the proposed logotherapy-based music imagery (LBMI) program on the self-worth of the personal assistants for the disabled. The program, in the image activities and at the stage of postlude after listening to music, unites logodrama of logotherapy, paradoxical intention and dereflected techniques. The intervention effects of the LBMI program were tested for the 28 personal assistants for the disabled who found themselves without the value and meaning of life and were randomly equally divided into the experimental and control groups. This intervention was carried out for the six different terms, each of which was alloted 60 minutes. To evaluate the intervention effects, the self-worth scale were examined before and after the intervention for both experimental and control group. The result shows that the self-worth improved significantly in the experimental group(p < 0.001), whereas it remained unchanged in the control group(p > 0.459). This finding proves that the proposed LBMI program ameliorates the self-worth of the personal assistants for the disabled.
Wall absorption treatment effectively reduces reverberation, but requires a large area for a live room and each wall absorption affects speech intelligibility differently. In this study, we try to find the most effective wall for the absorption treatment using the beamforming array microphone in terms of speech intelligibility. The absorption importance factor is defined by using the collision number of reflected sounds on each wall. It allows estimating how much the speech signal will be enhanced by the absorption treatment. A cuboid room with a size of 107 m3 and a reverberation time of 1.1 s is selected for the simulation. When a Helmholtz-type absorption is treated on the wall with the most significant importance factor, the modified clarity for 500 and 1k Hz is improved by 5.1 dB and 4.8 dB respectively, and the speech transmission index is enhanced by 0.06. The difference in results between the proposed method and commercial simulation code is less than a Just-Noticeable Difference (JND). The absorption treatment on the wall with the most significant importance factor shows improvement greater than the wall with the largest area, and its difference is larger than a JND value.

We scrutinized the acoustic outputs from the 70 shock wave generators of the 15 product models whose technical documents were available, among the 46 ballistic extracorporeal shock wave therapeutic devices of 11 domestic and 6 foreign manufacturers, approved by the Minster of Food & Drug Safety (Rep. Korea). We found that the acoustic Energy Flux Density (EFD), the most popular exposure parameter, was different by up to 563.64 times among shock wave generators at their minimum output settings and by up to 74.62 times at their maximum settings. In the same product model, the EFD was shown to vary depending on shock wave transmitters by up to 81.82 times at its minimum output setting and by up to 46.15 times at its maximum setting. The lowest EFD 0.013 mJ/mm2 at the maximum output settings was much lower (2.1 %) than the maximum value 0.62 mJ/mm2 at the minimum settings. The Large acoustic output differences (tens to hundreds of times)from the therapeutic devices approved for the same clinical indications imply that their therapeutic efficacy & safety may not be assured. The findings suggest the regulatory authority to revise her guideline to give clearer criteria for clinical approval and equality in performance, and recommend the authority to initiate a post-approval surveillance as well as a test in conformance between the data in technical documents and the real acoustic outputs clinically used.
This paper proposes to strengthen the technological capabilities of small and medium enterprises on the establishment of a component standardization system and the localization of parts, which is the basis of the marine wind industry. The wind industry is a natural energy industry that countries around the world are paying attention to, and continues to invest and research and development. In particular, most companies are focusing on research and investment in component development, the smallest unit. Therefore, it is believed that we should focus on the three most fundamental and underlying wind industry, an eco-friendly energy industry that could determine the fate of the nation in the future. First, an understanding of the roadmap for standardization should be prioritized. Second, it is necessary to establish a domestic standardization of international standards according to domestic conditions. Third, localization of high value-added single products and components should be achieved by lowering dependence on overseas imports. In the future, it is hoped that the wind industry, centered on small and medium-sized enterprises, will become a solid-based national industry and be completed as a national infrastructure leading the global wind market.
The oxygen transfer rate at the liquid surface of the reciprocally shaking vessel was studied. The required power of the reciprocally shaking vessel was not proportional to the shaking frequency, unlike the rotational shaking vessel, and the liquid level suddenly fluctuated greatly at a certain frequency as the flow pattern in the vessel was a left and right wave flow different from that of the rotational shaking that has a rotational flow. The effect of the shaking frequency on the required power in the reciprocally shaking vessel was very complex, such as less power required than the rotational shaking vessel when the shaking frequency is more than 3 s-1, but the required power for the range of the generated rotational flow in the reciprocally shaking vessel could be correlated with the equation that was reported for the rotational shaking vessel. The kLa (mass transfer capacity coefficient) in the reciprocally shaking vessel also increased in a complex pattern because the required power for shaking was not consumed in a simple pattern, unlike kLa in the rotational shaking vessel, which increases linearly with increasing frequency. The kLa of the reciprocally shaking vessel was larger than the kLa of the rotational shaking vessel, and as the kLa value increased, the difference between them increased sharply. As a result, the oxygen transfer rate in the reciprocal motion was greater than that of the rotational motion, and could be correlated with the required power per unit volume.
Startups are undergoing a change throughout the growth process of startups that appear in existing studies as they move away from the existing B2B or B2C frame and expand their target customer groups to O2O, C2C. In this regard, a new type of startup known as unicorns, a unicorn which has grown rapidly in a short period of time, is being created by successfully attracting government support and external investment in recognition of the potential value of the startup. This study examined the relationship between investment attraction and growth after founding for five representative unicorns in the U.S. and Korea. As a result, it was found that private investment in Korea is passive and defensive, and is attracted after the Series A stage, compared to the U.S., where the growth potential of the startup ecosystem is positively evaluated. In addition, it found that government's support policy throughout the startup's growth process is an abstract and comprehensive policy focusing on initial funding for startups. Therefore, it was suggested that the scope of government policies should be expanded to forster startups as unicorns, and that it is necessary to establish and implement differentiated support policies for each growth of the scale-up of startups. This study is significant in that it presented the criteria for the growth stage and support of startups as well as policy support for scale-up through practical case analysis of unicorns.

Currently, the response correction factor is calculated by comparing the response measured by the load test on a bridge with the response analyzed in the initial analytical model. Then the load rating and the load carrying capacity are evaluated. However, the response correction factor gives a value that fluctuates depending on the measurement location and load condition. In particular, when the initial analytical model is not suitable for representing the behavior of a bridge, the range of variation is large and the analysis response by the calibrated model may give a result that is different from the measured response. In this study, a pseudo-static load test was applied to obtain static response with dynamic components removed under various load conditions of a vehicle moving at a low speed. Static response was measured on two similar PSC-I girder bridges, and the response correction factors for displacement and strain were calculated for each of the two bridges. When the initial analysis model was not properly set up, it is verified that the response of the analytical model corrected by the average response correction factor does not fall within the margin of error with the measured response.
