연교 추출물 Pinoresinol와 Tamiflu의 병용효과로부터 Influenza Virus 감염에 의한 세포사멸 억제효과 (The Combined Anti-apoptotic Effect from Tamiflu and Pinoresinol of Forsythia fructus Extract Against Influenza Virus Infection)

  • The fruit body of Forsythiae Fructus (Oleaceae), a common Korean medical herb, is widely used in the treatment of cold and inflammation. In order to elucidate the action mechanism and the active principles from the plant against anti-influenza virus, the influenza virus hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) gene RT-PCR and Viral Screening & Identification (VSI) assay were conducted, and the activity against viral replication was also investigated. Consequently, one active constituent, namely pinoresinol showed the in vitro antiviral principle using a cytopathic effect (CPE) reduction method, indicating pinoresinol possessed anti-influenza viral activity. Furthermore, combination of pinoresinol and Tamiflu exhibited higher activities than Tamiflu alone against influenza virus (H3N2) infection. The results suggested that combination of pinoresinol with Tamiflu could be a better candidate for an ant-H3N2 viral agent in the treatment of the influenza.

e-VLBI 구현을 위한 네트워크 모델 설계 (THE DESIGN OF NETWORK MODEL FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF e-VLBI)

  • e-VLBI was invented to enhance the efficiency of VLBI (Very-Long-Baseline Interferometry) system by transmitting the data via high speed network. Korean VLBI Network (KVN) has a plan to construct e-VLBI system named e-KVN. High speed backbone network and efficient network model are essential to implement successful e-VLBI system. This paper introduces a network model based on PC cluster technology. The present status of high speed backbone network in Korea is overviewed. We suggest that the network link via Korea Advanced Research Network (KOREN) is one of feasible way for e-KVN. We also describe the principles of e-VLBI and protocol for network transmission such as VSI-E (VLBI Standard Interface - Electronic), RTP (Real-Time Transport Protocol) and RTCP (Real-Time Transport Control protocol).

KJJVC를 위한 VERA2000 고속재생기 도입과 시험운영

  • 한국천문연구원에서는 2009년 1단계 한일공동VLBI상관기(Korea-Japan Joint VLBI Correlator, KJJVC)의 개발과 설치를 완료하였다. KJJVC는 한국우주전파관측망(Korean VLBI Network, KVN), KVN과 일본 내의 VLBI 관측망을 포함하는 한일공동VLBI관측망(Korea-Japan Joint VLBI Network, KJJVN), 그리고 한중일의 VLBI관측망인 동아시아 VLBI관측망(East Asian VLBI Network, EAVN)으로 관측한 VLBI 데이터를 상관처리할 수 있도록 설계 제작되었다. 그리고 고속재생기, 데이터 동기재생처리시스템(Raw VLBI Data Buffer, RVDB), VLBI상관서브시스템(VLBI Correlation Subsystem, VCS), 데이터 아카이브 시스템(Peta-scale Epoch Data Archive, PEDA)로 구성된다. 특히 일본국립천문대 VERA에서는 테이프 형태의 DIR2000 고속기록기를 사용하고 있는데, DIR2000의 제품단종으로 인해 이 데이터를 VCS에 재생하기 위해 DIR1000을 개량한 VERA2000 고속재생기를 개발하였다. 즉, VSI 형태의 데이터를 1Gbps 속도로 재생만 하기 위해 기존의 시스템을 개량하였으며, 2009년 10월에 VLBI상관기실에 설치되었다. 본 논문에서는 VERA2000 시스템의 구성 및 개발, 시험운영 등에 대해 간략히 소개하고자 한다.

4-병렬 제어 기법을 적용한 6kW 영전압 스위칭 승압형 컨버터 개발 (Development of 6kW ZVS Boost Converter by 4-Parallel Operation)

  • This paper presents development of 6kw ZVS(Zero Voltage Switching) boost converter by 4-parallel operation. To realize a high capacity converter with 6 kw, 4-parallel operation of 1.5kW unit module is proposed in this paper. To meet high ratio input to output voltage, isolated type booster converter is designed. To achieve ZVS operation of 4-switches of full bridge and protect a voltage overshoot caused by switch turn-off, simple active-clamp circuit is applied to the primary side. For parallel operation of 4-modules, master-slave control method is proposed to achieve input current sharing of 4-unit converter modules accurately. For performance tests, simulation is carried out. Also, load and experimental tests of the developed booster converter, 230Vdc/6kW, are carried out under various conditions. For field tests, the developed converter is applied for boosting a battery power to high DC_link voltage for a VSI inverter which starts a micro-turbine(MT) installed in vehicle and it's performance is verified through high speed motoring a MT up to tens of thousands of rpm.

Operational Characteristics of a Flux-Lock Type SFCL Integrated with Voltage-Controlled Voltage Source Inverter

  • In this paper, a flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) integrated with a voltage-controlled voltage source inverter(VC-VSI) is proposed. The suggested equipment, which consists of a flux-lock type SFCL and a VCVSI, can perform the fault current limiting operation from the occurrence of a short-circuit. In addition, it can compensate the reactive power that the non-linear load requires and also perform the uninterruptible power supply(UPS) as well as the load voltage stabilization by controlling the amplitude and the phase of the inverter's output voltage. The specification for a test model was determined and its various functions such as the fault current limiting and the power conditioning operations were presented and analyzed via computer simulation. Through the analytical results based on the computer simulation, the validity of the analysis was confirmed and its multi-operation was discussed.

DFT를 이용한 계통연계 인버터 시스템의 고정밀 계측 (High Precise Measurement of Grid-Connected Inverter using DFT)

  • A precise measurement of the grid voltage is one of the essential techniques, which is required to connect a renewable energy to the grid. In general, when a filter is used to eliminate unnecessary harmonics and noises, a signal is distorted by phase delay, amplitude attenuation, and other distortions. And the response characteristic of a controller is directly affected by bandwidth of cut-off frequency of the filter. To alleviate this problems, we propose an effective algorithm based on DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) instead of approaching the filter application. The proposed algorithm ensures high precise measurement of the grid voltage because it can extract the fundamental and harmonics from the raw signal without any distortions. The high performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by PSIM simulation and experiments of Grid-Connected VSI.

필름 두께 측정용 투과 양극형 x-ray tube의 개발 및 특성 (Development and Characteristics of the x-ray transmission anode tube for the thickness measurement of film)

  • 수십에서 수백 ${\mu}m$ 영역의 필름 두께 측정에 적용하기 위한 Ag-target 투과양극형 x-ray tube를 개발하고 특성을 조사하였다. 10kV 부근의 관전압에서 x-ray 에너지의 분포 및 선량특성을 조사하고 W-target tube와 비교하여 논의하였다. 또한 Ag-target tube와 W-target tube를 이용하여 Ny film과 PP film의 두께변화에 따른 x-ray의 투과 특성으로 조사하였고, 그 결과 개발된 x-ray tube는 필름두께 측정용으로 적용할 수 있을 만큼 충분히 좋은 특성을 나타내었다.

  • W-target 투과양극형 x-ray tube를 개발하고, 특성을 조사하였다. 관전압이 12kV이하에서는 연속 x-ray만 방출되었고, 12kV 이상에서부터 특성 x-ray가 관측되었다. 연속 x-ray와 특성 x-ray의 에너지 분포 및 선량 특성을 조사한 결과 알려진 결과와 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 상용화된 제품과의 비교에서, 기존 제품 이상의 성능을 가질 수 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발된 x-ray tube는 상용화할 수 있을 만큼 충분히 우수한 특성을 가지고 있음을 확인하였다.

Kinetics Studies on the Mechanism of Hydrolysis of S-Phenyl-S-vinyl-N-p-tosylsulfilimine Derivatives

  • Hydrolysis reactions of S-phenyl-S-vinyl-N-p-tosylsulfilimine (VSI) and its derivatives at various pH have been investigated kinetically. The hydrolysis reactions produced phenylvinylsulfoxide and p-toluene sulfonamide as the products. The reactions are first order and Hammett ρ values for pH 1.0, 6.0, and 11.0 are 0.82, 0.45, and 0.57, respectively. This reaction is not catalyzed by general base. The plot of k vs pH shows that there are three different regions of the rate constants $(k_t)$ in the profile.; At pH < 2 and pH > 10, the rate constants are directly proportional to the concentrations of hydronium and hydroxide ion catalyzed reactions, respectively. The rate constant remains nearly the same at 2 < pH < 10. On the bases of these results, the plausible hydrolysis mechanism and a rate equation have been proposed: At pH < 2.0, the reaction proceeds via the addition of water molecule to sulfur after protonation at the nitrogen atom of the sulfilimine, whereas at pH > 10.0, the reaction proceeds by the addition of hydroxide ion to sulfur directly. In the range of pH 2.0-10.0, the addition of water to sulfur of sulfilimine appears to be the rate controlling step.

  • 교류 전동기의 가변속 구동에 있어서, 가변전압, 가변주파수 방식의 PWN 인버터가 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 3상 PWN 인버터의 출력 파형에 있어서 특정고조파제거를 위한 방법이 소개되며 그 타당성을 입증하기 위해 실험결과는 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교·검토된다. 제안된 PWN 방식은 유도 전동기뿐만 아니라 전압 조정기, UPS 등에도 사용 가능하다.
