본 논문에서는 비디오 서버의 startup latency를 줄이기 위한 replication 기술 및VCR 기능을 지원하기 위한 기술의 개요에 대해서 설명하고 VCR 기능을 지원하기 위해XPRS 파일에서 SR을 응용한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 이 알고리즘은 XPRS 파일에서 액세스 빈도에 따라 블록의 수를 다르게 하는 알고리즘으로 VOD 서비스의 효용성을 높여줄 수 있는 VCR 기능을 효율적으로 지원할 수 있다. 또한 SR과 SR 응용 알고리즘을 이용하여 시스템의 성능을 최적화할 수 있는 재구성 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 알고리즘은 블록 skipping 기술을 지원하지 않기 때문에 향후 이 기술과 연계한 연구가 지속적으로 요구된다.

Effects of vinblastine(VLB) and vincristine(VCR) on cell-mediated immunity(CMI) were studied with the microcytotoxicity test(MCT) after normal or pre-sensitized Balb/c mice had been treated in vivo with a combination of two different doses of VLB or VCR(single dose of 20% and 60% $LD_{50}$, i.p.) at different times (from day -6 to day +4) plus allo-transplantation antigen(allo-TA, cells from C3H mice at day 0). The results were that $LD_{50}$ of VLB for female Balb/c mouse was 7.3mg/kg body weight (i.p.) and $LD_{50}$ of VCR was 4.3mg/kg body weight and that VLB and VCR acted as immunosuppressive agents on the primary CMI when administered after allo-TA(antigen-drug-phase), but showed no effect when administered prior to allo-TA(drug-antigen-phase). Change of doses of VLB and VCR(20% $LD_{50}$, 60% $LD_{50}$) caused quantitative or qualitative variations in the immunomodulating effects of these two drugs. Neither VLB nor VCR had any immunomodulating effect on the secondary CMI. Lastly, the results support that the four parameters (type of drug, sensitization status, time of drug treatment in relation to antigen injection, and drug dosis) are significant for the effects of the VLB and VCR on the CMI, and that VLB and VCR may inhibit the proliferation of antigen-stimulated T effector lymphocytes but not memory-cytotoxic T lymphocytes.

CCTV 산업은 보안산업의 일종이며 종래에는 CCTV 카메라에서 찍은 영상정보를 아날로그 방식으로 VCR에 저장하여 사용하였으나, 테이프 교체의 불편함과 반복사용에 따른 화질의 열화 등 많은 문제점을 안고 있어 최근에는 DVR로 대체되고 있는 추세이다. 현재 국내시장에서 아날로그 VCR 대 DVR의 비율은 70:30 정도로 추정되고 있으며, 통신기술의 발전으로 인한 네트워크망 확대 및 인터넷의 급속한 보급으로 인해 DVR의 보급이 급속히 높아지고 있는데, J.P Freeman 보고서에 따르면, 세계 DVR 시장규모는 2002년 7억 2천만 달러에서 2005년도 24억 달러로 확대되어 연평균 47%의 고성장 하고 있다고 발표하였다. 그리고, DVR의 VCR 대체율 역시 2002년 13%에서 2005년 45%에 이른 것으로 보고 있으며, 앞으로 설치하거나 교체하는 시스템은 VCR 대신 DVR을 선택할 것을 예측할 경우 2010년에는 전체 VCR의 90% 이상이 DVR로 교체될 것으로 전망되고 있다.

Vincristine (VCR) is a chemotherapeutic agent widely used in treatment of malignancies. However, VCR has a limitation in use since it commonly causes a painful neuropathy (VCR-induced peripheral neuropathy, VIPN). Inflammatory cytokines secreted by immune cells such as macrophages can exacerbate allodynia and hyperalgesia, because inhibiting the inflammatory response is a treatment target for VIPN. In this study, we investigated whether Trichinella spiralis, a widely studied helminth for its immunomodulatory abilities, can alleviate VCR-induced allodynia. Von Frey test showed that T. spiralis infection improved mechanical allodynia at 10 days after VCR injection. We further observed whether the difference was due to mitigated axon degeneration, but no significant difference between the groups in axonal degeneration in sciatic nerves and intra-epidermal nerve fibers was found. Conversely, we observed that number of infiltrated macrophages was decreased in the sciatic nerves of the T. spiralis infected mice. Moreover, treatment of T. spiralis excretory-secretory products caused peritoneal macrophages to secrete decreased level of IL-1β. This study suggests that T. spiralis can relieve VCR-induced mechanical allodynia by suppressing neuroinflammation and that application of controllable degree of helminth may prove beneficial for VIPN treatment.

멀티캐스트 기법은 큰 규모의 팽 서비스에서 비용을 줄이기 위한 방법 중에 하나다. 그러나 멀티캐스트 시스템에서 한정된 서버와 네트워크의 대역폭을 고려하여 VCR 기능을 구현하는 것은 복잡한 문제들을 내포하고 있어 이에 대한 해법이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 P2Patching을 개선한 논문으로 P2P 환경에서 레벨 그룹을 구성하여 이종 대역폭을 가진 피어들 간에 협력하여 VCR 기능을 지원하는 레벨그룹 스트리밍 기법(LGST : Level Group Streaming Technique)을 제안한다. 이 기법은 서버의 수용성을 향상시키고 네트워크의 대역폭을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있다. 그리고 본 제안 기법의 평가를 위하여 P2Patching과 비교하여 스트림 전송 토플러지 성능 및 스트리밍 질을 실험하였다. 이 실험은 서비스 요청 거부율과 대역폭 감소에 따른 서비스 질에 대한 평가에서는 본 LGST가 P2Patching보다 $11{\sim}18%$ 정도의 성능 향상을 보여주었고, 결함확률에 따른 복원지연 실험과 VCR 기능 수행 주기에 따른 영향에서는 미세한 수치에서의 성능 향상을 보여 주었다.

주문형 비디오(Video-On-Demand) 시스템은 광대역 통신 네트워크를 통하여 사용자가 원하는 영화를 융통성있게 제공하는 전자 비디오 대여 시스템이다. 대부분의 제안된 VOD 시스템은 사용자와 비디오 서버 간에 일대일 연결로 설계되어 있어 하나의 비디오 서버 스트림을 전용 전송 채널로 각 사용자에게 개별적으로 서비스되었다. 그러나 동일한 비디오 스트림을 엑세스하는 다수의 사용자에게 개별적으로 전용 전송 채널로 서비스를 하는 것은 매우 비효율적이며 비용의 낭비를 초래한다. 따라서, 비용 효율성을 얻기 위하여, 동일한 비디오 스트림을 요구하는 다수의 사용자에게 멀티캐스트 기능을 이용하여 하나의 스트림으로 전송하는 batching 기법이 연구되었다. 그러나, batching에 의한 멀티캐스트의 사용은 오히려 VCR 기능의 특성과 on-demand 특성을 저하시키는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 서버에 대한 I/O와 네트워크 대역폭을 감소시키기 위하여 가입자 인접 부근인 엑세스 노드에 가변 playout point를 갖는 동적 버퍼를 두어 동일한 비디오 스트림을 요구하는 사용자들을 batching으로 전송하는 기법을 제안하였다. 따라서, 사용자당 비디오 전송 비용을 감소시켰으며, 사용자들이 true VOD를 사용하는 것과 마찬가지로 대화형 VCR 명령을 가능하게 하였다. 또한, 초기 요구나 VCR 기능이 수행된 후에도 어떠한 batching지연이 없이 바로 멀티캐스트 비디오 스트림을 전송할 수 있었으며, 소수의 서버 용량으로 많은 사용자들에게 서비스하여 시스템의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있었다.

VCR is a back-up roll with a special contour which leads to the length of the contact line between back-up roll and work becones self adjustable in accordance with the width of the strip. The simulation of a finite element model and the on-line test at production mill demonstrate that the VCR roll may keep the crown of the roll gap relatively stable, and at same time, permit the rolling pressure to be adjusted over a wider range, and increase the effect of work roll bending on the roll gap. The VCR rolls have been successfully used at the first stands of two largest cold rolling mills in China, and on-line test has been done at a wide hot strip finishing train. The use of VCR roll has created favorable conditions for subsequent rolling passes and the achievement of better flatness quality.

In this paper, a digital signal processing method of AFC (automatic frequency control) is proposed for a home use VCR system. The proposed method has the ability of frequency tracking of a wide range. Implemented with digital circuits, the system is to be used in a digital video system and saves the cost of a hardware compared with a conventional analog automatic frequency control method using several PLL's in case of making home use VCR systems compatible with several TV systems.

Magnetic heads on vcr drum are adjusted for protrusion, rotational angle, setting angle between two symmetrically positioned heads and height difference. Developed adjustment system covered assembly spec., namely ${\pm}2{\mu}m$ and ${\pm}30{\mu}m$ in rotational angle by using the image processing to determine head positions and S/W algorithm to compensate mechanical errors.

고밀도화, 광대역화하는 자기기록계의 요구에따라 복합 MIG head를 개발하였다. Head 동특성 측정기와 ME tape를 사용하여 기록 및 재생 특성을 SD VCR 포맷에 대해 검토한 결과, 기록시 20 MHz에서 포화가 발생되지 않았고, 재생시 우수한 상대효율의 주파수 의존성과 접동 잡음특성이 확보됨으로서 C/N 특성의 개선을 도모할 수 있었고 또한 ME tape에 대한 우수한 compatibility는 SD VCR 용 head로서의 적용을 유력하게 하고 있다.
