In this paper, a low-cost dynamic measurement system using the RGB-depth camera, Microsoft $Kinect^{(R)}$ v2, is proposed for measuring time-varying free surface motion of liquid dampers used in building vibration mitigation. Various experimental studies are conducted consecutively: performance evaluation and validation of the $Kinect^{(R)}$ v2, real-time monitoring using the $Kinect^{(R)}$ v2 SDK(software development kits), point cloud acquisition of liquid free surface in the 3D space, comparison with the existing video sensing technology. Utilizing the proposed $Kinect^{(R)}$ v2-based measurement system in this study, dynamic behavior of liquid in a laboratory-scaled small tank under a wide frequency range of input excitation is experimentally analyzed.
The aim of this study was to develop specific and sensitive PCR-based procedures for simultaneous detection of economically important plant seed infection pathogenic bacteria and virus, Xanthomonns campestris pv. vesicatoria (Xcv), Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis (Cmm), Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora (Ecc), Pepper mild mottle virus (PMMoV) and Tobacco mild green mosaic virus (TMGMV) in pepper and tomato seeds. Most of pepper and tomato bacterial and virus diseases are responsible for germination and growth obstruction. PCR with arbitral primers: selection of specific primers, performance of PCR with specific primers and determination of the threshold level for pathogens detection. To detect simultaneously the Xcv, Cmm, Ecc, PMMoV and TMGMV in pepper and tomato seeds, five pairs (Cmm-F/R, Ecc-F/R, Xcv-F/R, PMMoV-F/R, TMGMV-F/R) of specific primer were synthesized by primer-blast program. The multiplex PCR for the five pathogens in pepper and tomato seeds could detect specially without interference among primers and/or cDNA of plant seeds and other plant pathogens. The PCR result for pathogen detection using 20 commercial pepper and 10 tomato seed samples, Ecc was detected from 4 pepper and 2 tomato seed samples, PMMoV was detected from 1 pepper seed sample, and PMMoV and TMGMV were simultaneously detected from 1 pepper seed sample.
FECAPS(ferroelectric capacitors) have been fabricated by RF magnetron sputtering deposition of 3000$\AA$ PZT thin films on the Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si substrates and post-annealing with the temperature of $550^{\circ}C$~$650^{\circ}C$ for 10 sec~50 sec in a RTA system. The electrical characteristics of the fabricated capacitors showed the highest dielectric constant and remanent polarization[${\varepsilon_r(1kHz)$=690, $2P_r$(-5V~5V sweep)=22$\mu$C/$ \textrm{cm}^2$] in the samples annealed at $650^{\circ}C$ for 30 sec, while the lowest tangent loss and leakage current [$tan\delta(\ge10kHz)\le0.02, \; J_i(5V)=3\mu\textrm{A}/\textrm{cm}^2$]in the samples annealed at $600^{\circ}C$ for 30 sec.
Let G = (V, E) be a graph with p-vertices and q-edges and let R◦ be a finite zero ring of order n. An injective function f : V (G) → {r1, r2, …, rk}, where ri ∈ R◦ is called vertex pair sum k-zero ring labeling, if it is possible to label the vertices x ∈ V with distinct labels from R◦ such that each edge e = uv is labeled with f(e = uv) = [f(u) + f(v)] (mod n) and the edge labels are distinct. A graph admits such labeling is called vertex pair sum k-zero ring graph. The minimum value of positive integer k for a graph G which admits a vertex pair sum k-zero ring labeling is called the vertex pair sum k-zero ring index denoted by 𝜓pz(G). In this paper, we defined the vertex pair sum k-zero ring labeling and applied to some graphs.

This paper provides V-factor estimation under combined mechanical and thermal load for circumferential cracks. Results are based on finite element analyses and effect of types and magnitudes of the thermal stress, crack geometry, the loading mode and plastic strain hardening on variations of the V-factor are investigated. The results of finite element analyses are compared with R6 values. As a result, it is shown that R6 gives generally conservative results. The conservatism is especially increased for the combination of large mechanical and thermal load. As a result, new estimation method which uses failure assessment line in R6 is proposed for V-factor and gives less conservative results.
Regression analysis and a comparative study were carried out for 52 blast vibration data which were monitored by changing the monitoring distance and charge per delay. The results are as follows: 1) The square and cube root scalings and general equation which have a confidence level at the point of 90% and 99% are V90=33300(SD)-2.026 , V90=23600(SD)-1.993, V90=26300W0.755 R-2.007 and V99=48400(SD)-2.026, V99=34000(SD)-1.993 , V99=38100W0.755R-2.007, respectively. 2) There is need to decide the allowable max. charge weight per delay considering the cross points comparatively of the nomogram constructed using several predictived equations. 3) It is necessary to derive the predictive equation on the basis of blast vibration level monitored in field and to decide safe vibration level and the confidence level.
R-type $Ca_v2.3$ high voltage-activated $Ca^{2+}$ channels in peripheral sensory neurons contribute to pain transmission. Recently we have demonstrated that, among the six $Ca_v2.3$ isoforms ($Ca_v2.3a{\sim}Ca_v2.3e$), the $Ca_v2.3e$ isoform is primarily expressed in trigeminal ganglion (TG) nociceptive neurons. In the present study, we further investigated expression patterns of $Ca_v2.3$ isoforms in the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons. As in TG neurons, whole tissue RT-PCR analyses revealed the presence of two isoforms, $Ca_v2.3a$ and $Ca_v2.3e$, in DRG neurons. Single-cell RT-PCR detected the expression of $Ca_v2.3e$ mRNA in 20% (n=14/70) of DRG neurons, relative to $Ca_v2.3a$ expression in 2.8% (n=2/70) of DRG neurons. $Ca_v2.3e$ mRNA was mainly detected in small-sized neurons (n=12/14), but in only a few medium-sized neurons (n=2/14) and not in large-sized neurons, indicating the prominence of $Ca_v2.3e$ in nociceptive DRG neurons. Moreover, $Ca_v2.3e$ was preferentially expressed in tyrosine-kinase A (trkA)-positive, isolectin B4 (IB4)-negative and transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1)-positive neurons. These results suggest that $Ca_v2.3e$ may be the main R-type $Ca^{2+}$ channel isoform in nociceptive DRG neurons and thereby a potential target for pain treatment, not only in the trigeminal system but also in the spinal system.
In an attempt to develop a method for rapid and accurate identification of six Vibrio species that are clinically important and most frequently detected in Korea, 16S rDNA restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) of Vibrio type strains, as well as environmental isolates obtained from the Korean coastal area, was analyzed using ten restriction endonucleases. Digestion of the 16S rDNA fragments amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with the enzymes gave rise to 2~6 restriction patterns for each digestion for 47 Vibrio strains and isolates. An additional 2~3 restriction patterns were observed for five reference species, including Escherichia coli, Aeromonas hydrophila, A. salmonicida, Photobacterium phosphoreum, and Plesiomonas shigelloides. A genetic distance tree based on RFLP of the bacterial species correlated well with that based on 16S rDNA sequences. The very small 16S rDNA sequence difference (0.1%) between V. alginolyticus and V. parahaemolyticus was resolved clearly by RFLP with a genetic distance of more than 2%. RFLP variation within a species was also detected in the cases of V. parahaemolyticus, V. proteolyticus, and V. vulnificus. According to the RFLP analysis, six Vibrio and five reference species were assigned to 12 genotypes. Using three restriction endonucleases to analyze RFLP proved sufficient to identify the six pathogenic Vibrio species.
For a double array of random elements {$V_{mn};m{\geq}1,\;n{\geq}1$} in a real separable Banach space, some mean convergence theorems and weak laws of large numbers are established. For the mean convergence results, conditions are provided under which $k_{mn}^{-\frac{1}{r}}\sum{{u_m}\atop{i=1}}\sum{{u_n}\atop{i=1}}(V_{ij}-E(V_{ij}|F_{ij})){\rightarrow}0$ in $L_r$ (0 < r < 2). The weak law results provide conditions for $k_{mn}^{-\frac{1}{r}}\sum{{T_m}\atop{i=1}}\sum{{\tau}_n\atop{j=1}}(V_{ij}-E(V_{ij}|F_{ij})){\rightarrow}0$ in probability where {$T_m;m\;{\geq}1$} and {${\tau}_n;n\;{\geq}1$} are sequences of positive integer-valued random variables, {$k_{mn};m{{\geq}}1,\;n{\geq}1$} is an array of positive integers. The sharpness of the results is illustrated by examples.

Continuous mortality in commercially cultured Japanese eel (Anguilla japonica), showing symptoms of dermal ulcerations and focal hemorrhages on the body, occurred on a private farm in November, 2019 in Korea. A series of mortality had been described in one local eel culture farm from November to December in 2019. From the three cases, three isolates of Vibrio spp. were recovered from the blood, ascitic fluid, and kidney of the dead fish, respectively. Based on the 16S rRNA sequence comparisons, the Vibrio isolates from the 1st and 3rd cases (strain named 1E1-2 and 3K1-2) were identified as V. fluvialis and the isolate from the 2nd case was identified as V. plantisponsor (strain named 2A3-1). Moreover, the 16S rRNA-based phylogenetic analysis revealed that strain 1E1-2 and 3K1-2 were most similar to V. fluvialis NBRC 103150T, and strain 2A3-1 was most similar to V. plantisponsor NBRC103148T. According to the results of the antibiotic resistance determination, V. fluvialis 1E1-2 showed intermediate resistance to tetracycline and chloramphenicol, and was resistant to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. V. plantisponsor 2A3-1 showed intermediate resistance to ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin, and was resistant to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. V. fluvialis 3K1-2 showed intermediate resistance to tetracycline, and was resistant to ampicillin and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. These results have provided the evidences on the occurrence of antibiotic-resistant Vibrio infection in commercially cultured Japanese eels are present in Korea.
