  • A 2-Dimensional SSIMT(Suppressed Sidewall Injection Magnetotransistor) sensor with high linearity is presented in this paper. The prototype is fabricated by using the Hynix $0.6{\mu}m$ CMOS Process. The fabricated SSIMT shows that the variation of each collectors current are extremely linear by varing the magnetic induction from -200mT to 200mT at $I_B\;:\;1000{\mu}A,\;V_{CE}\;=\;5V\;and\;V_{SUB}\;=\;5V$. The relative sensitivity is up to 13%/T. At B = 0, magnetic offset is about 40mT, there relative sensitivity is 4.72%/T. The nonlinearity of the fabricated 2-D SSIMT is measured about 1.2%.

  • Objectives: Chronic pain is one of the most common experiences of humans and a typical psychophysiological disorder. The aim of this study was to measure the psychophysiological responses in chronic pain patients using a biofeedback system, and to compare them with the results from normal healthy subjects. Methods: Forty two patients with chronic pain (17 males and 25 females, average age $44.67{\pm}11.10$ years) and 42 normal healthy controls (17 males and 25 females, average age $45.17{\pm}10.46$ years) participated in this study. Electromyography (EMG), skin conductance (SC), and skin temperature (ST) were recorded using biofeedback system during the 3 phases (baseline, stress, and recovery) of stress reactivity test, and average values of them were calculated. Difference of values between two groups in each corresponding phase was analyzed with independent t-test, and change of values across phases of stress reactivity test was analyzed with paired t-test (all two-tailed, p<0.05). Results: Compared to normal controls, chronic pain patients had higher value of EMG (baseline: $8.10{\pm}5.97{\mu}V$ vs $4.72{\pm}1.52{\mu}V$, t=-3.56, p<0.01; stress: $11.25{\pm}6.89{\mu}V$ vs $8.49{\pm}4.78{\mu}V$, t=-2.13, p<0.05; recovery: $7.12{\pm}3.77{\mu}V$ vs $4.78{\pm}1.59{\mu}V$, t=-3.70, p<0.01) and SC (baseline: $1.06{\pm}1.0{\mu}S$ vs $0.42{\pm}0.29{\mu}S$, t=-4.0. p<0.01; stress: $1.87{\pm}2.05{\mu}S$ vs $1.03{\pm}0.86{\mu}S$, t=-2.47, p<0.05; recovery: $1.74{\pm}1.77{\mu}S$ vs $0.64{\pm}0.59{\mu}S$, t=-3.8, p<0.01) in all the 3 phases. But, skin temperature comparison did not reveal significant differences in all the 3 phases between two groups. Conclusion: Psychophysiological responses of chronic pain patients in stress reactivity test were different from those of normal healthy controls. These results suggest that sympathetic nervous system is more activated in chronic pain patients.

  • In this paper, the epi layer of npn SOI HBT with n+ buried layer has been studied through Sentaurus process and device simulator. The doping value of the deposited epi layer has been varied for the npn HBT to achieve improved $f_tBV_{CEO}$ product (397 GHzV). As the $BV_{CEO}$ value is higher for low value of epi layer doping, higher supply voltage can be used to increase the $f_t$ value of the HBT. At 1.8 V $V_{CE}$, the $f_tBV_{CEO}$ product of HBT is 465.5 GHzV. Further, the film thickness of the epi layer of the SOI HBT has been scaled for better performance (426.8 GHzV $f_tBV_{CEO}$ product at 1.2 V $V_{CE}$). The addition of this HBT module to fully depleted SOI CMOS technology would provide better solution for realizing wireless circuits and systems for 60 GHz short range communication and 77 GHz automotive radar applications. This SOI HBT together with SOI CMOS has potential for future high performance SOI BiCMOS technology.

  • For the improvement of productivity of Pleurotus ostreatus, the production of liquid spawn was studied. The highest liquid spawn production was obtained after shaking culture for 4 days in the culture medium containing 5%(W/V) wheat flour, 0.2%(W/V) yeast extract, 0.1%(W/V)$KNO_3$ 0.05% (W/V) $MgSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$, 0.05%(W/V) $KH_2PO_4$. The optimum pH and temperature was 7.0 ana $30^{\circ}C$. The period required to complete the mycelial growth after spawning were 28, 22, 10 and 9 days, respectively, when the 2%(V/V) of solid spawn and 2%(V/V), 5% (V/V) and 10%(V/V) of liquid spawn were inoculated. The days required from spawning to fruiting bodies were 38, 34, 28 and 27 days.

  • We investigated the effects of cooling condition on deep levels and iron precipitate formation in iron-contaminated p-type silicon by DLTS(Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy) and preferential etching technique. Dependency of cooling condition on Bulk Micro-Defect (BMD) and four different iron-related deep traps were observed. For normal cooling condition, T1, T2, T3, T4 traps that related to Fe\ulcorner or Fe-O complex were obtained. However, the trap with activation energy, 0.4 eV was observed for slow cooling condition. The trap caused by the $\textrm{Fe}^{+}\textrm{}^{-}$ pair (H4:0.56eV) were detected only at the case of $\textrm{LN}_{2}$ quenching condition.

  • The paper is to argue against the asymmetric CP-V2 analysis of Old English, according to which finite verbs invariably undergo movement into a clause-final T within subordinate clauses and reach the functional head C within main clauses. The asymmetric CP-V2 analysis, first of all, faces difficulty in explaining a wide range of post-verbal elements within subordinate clauses. To resolve the problem, the analysis has to abandon the obligatoriness of V-to-T movement or introduce various types of extraposition whose status is dubious as a legitimate syntactic operation. Obligatory V-to-T movement in Old English lacks conceptual justification as well. Crosslinguistic evidence reveals that morphological richness in verbal inflection cannot entail overt verb movement. Moreover, the operation is always string-vacuous under the asymmetric CP- V2 analysis and has no effect at the interfaces, in violation of the principle of economy. The distribution of Old English finite verbs in main clauses also undermines the asymmetric CP-V2 analysis. Conceptually speaking, a proper syntactic trigger cannot be confirmed to motivate obligatory verb movement to C. The operation not only gets little support from nominative Case marking, the distribution of expletives, or complementizer agreement but also requires the unconvincing stipulation that expletives as well as sentence-initial subjects result from string-vacuous topicalization. Finally, textual evidence testifies that Old English sometimes permits non-V2 ordering patterns, many of which remain unexplained under the asymmetric CP-V2 analysis.

  • Using the acetate velvet and viscose velvet whose pile lengths were sheared as 1.45, 1.55, 1 65, 1.75, 1.85, 1.90mm under the condition equating the weaving process of ground fabric, the conclusions were as follows through the results of the sensory assessments estimated by women students in our university and the physical properties, H. V and T. H. V obtained by KES-F system. 1. In the sensory assessments estimated by the method of paired comparison and ranking of samples, the longer pile length was, the more the hand values of smoothness, softness, thickness, heaviness increased on the whole. 2. The H V. and T. H. V. measured by KES-F system were as follows; Kohi increased to pile length 1.85mm and then decreased a little at 1.90mm. hummer increased as pile length was longer. Fukurami increased to pile length 1.75mm and then decreased gradually as pile length was longer. Total hand value increased gradually from 1. 45mm to 1.85mm, had the top value at 1.85mm, and then decreased a little at 1.90mm. 3. In the results of summarizing $\ulcorner$the physical properties correlated closely with the H. V obtained by sensory assessments$\lrcorner$ and tithe Physical properties correlated closely with the H. V. and T. H. V obtained by KES-F systems, it showed that all the sensory properties correlated closely with compressive energy, flexural rigidity, thickness, weight and pile ratio in the former and that the physical properties correlated closely with each H V and T. H. V were different in the latter. 4. It showed that factor 1 was related to compressive energy, thickness, weight, pile ratio, factor 2 was related to recovery energy, compressive resilience, compressive index, and factor 3 was related to compressive recovery ratio in the result of factor analysis. 5. In the multiple repression analysis, the expressions of all sensory properties had compressive ratio, frictional coefficient in the regression expressions of $\ulcorner$H. V. obtained by sensory assessments$\lrcorner$, while the expressions of each H. V. and different physical properties in the regression expressions of $\ulcorner$H. • Filmff.V. is one of the most poweful media in the modern society. Its influnces on economics, culture, and social behavior are being extened more and more. By the growth of mutimedia market and existing film/T.V. market which are nurtured by the modern technology, filmff.V. culture became a giant influencial element. Filmff.V. culture in Korea did not settle down in right position, because of the uncontrolled implant and imitation of foreign film/T.V. culture under the short time of developing our own film/T.V. culture to support exploding technical aspects. A systematic filmff.V. education and financial investment are needed urgently to produce our own creative film/T.V. programs, and review on our filmff.V. culture and educational system are needed also to make a right understanding of filmff.V. media. In this proposal, I discuss the differences of educational system and curriculum between Korean filmff.V. educational institute and foreign countries'. Through this discussion, I sample a futuce oriented filmff.V. educational system and curriculum.

  • Molecular cloning revealed the three isoforms($Ca_v3.1,\;Ca_v3.2,\;and\;Ca_v3.3$) of the T-type calcium channel subfamily. Expression studies exhibited their distinctive electrophysiological and pharmacological properties, accounting for diverse properties of T-type calcium channel currents previously characterized from isolated cells. However, electrophysiological properties of ion channels have shown to be more diversified by their splice variants. We here searched splice variants of rat $Ca_v3.1$ T-type channel by reverse-transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) to further explore diversity of $Ca_v3.1$. Interestingly, analyses of cloned RT-PCR products displayed that there were at least four splicing variants of rat $Ca_v3.1$ in the loop connecting repeats III and IV. Southern blot analyses indicated that the predominantly detected variant in brain was $Ca_v3.1a$(492 bp), which were rarely detected in most of peripheral tissues. Other two variants($Ca_v3.1c$, 546 bp; $Ca_v3.1d$, 525 bp) were detected in most of the tissues examined. The smallest isoform($Ca_v3.1b$, 471 bp) was rarely detected all the tissues. Electrophysiological characterization of the splicing variants indicated that the splice variants differ in inactivation kinetics and the voltage dependence of activation and inactivation as well.
