This study was performed to offer the data for design of the seedling bed transfer equipment to make the automation of working process in a plant factory. The seedling bed transfer equipment pushing the seedling bed with bearing wheels on the rail for interconnecting each working process by a pneumatic cylinder was made and examined. The examined transfer force to push the seedling bed with a weight of 178.9 N by the pneumatic cylinder with length of 60 cm and section area of 5 $cm^2$ was measured by experiments. The examined transfer forces was compared with theoretical ones calculated by the theoretical formula derived from dynamic system analysis according to the number of the seedling bed and pushing speed of the pneumatic cylinder head at no load. The transfer function of the equipment with the input variable as the pushing speed $V_{h0}$(m/s) and the output variable as the transfer force f(t)(N) was represented as $F(s)=(V_{h0}/k)(s+B/M)/(s(s^2+Bs/M+1/(kM))$ where M(kg), k(m/N) and B(Ns/m) are the mass of the bed, the compression coefficient of the pneumatic cylinder and the dynamic friction coefficient between the seedling bed and the rail, respectively. The examined transfer force curves and the theoretical ones were represented similar wave forms as to use the theoretical formular to design the device for the seedling bed transfer. The condition of no vibration of the transfer force curve was $kB^2>4M$. The condition of transferring the bed by the repeatable impact and vibration force according to difference of transfer distance of the pneumatic cylinder head from that of the bed was as $Ce^{-\frac{3{\pi}D}{2\omega}}<-1$, where ${\omega}=\sqrt{\frac{1}{kM}-\frac{B^2}{4M^2}}$, $C=\{\frac{\frac{B}{2M}-\frac{1}{kB}}{\omega}\}$, $D=\frac{B}{2M}$. The examined mean peak transfer force represented 4 times of the stead state transfer force. Therefore it seemed that the transfer force of the pneumatic cylinder required for design of the push device was 4Bv where v is the pushing speed.

In this paper, we propose a systematic hull form variation technique which automatically satisfies the displacement constraint and guarantees a high level of fairness. This method is possible through multiple parameter correction curves. The present method is to improve the hull form variation method based on parametric modification function and consists of two sub-categories: SAC variation and section lines modification. For SAC variation, the utilization of two B-Spline curves satisfying GC1 condition led to the satisfaction of displacement constraint and high level of fairness at the same time. Section lines modification methods involves in using two fuctions: the first is the waterplane modification function combining two cubic splines. the other function is the sectional area modification function consisting of 2nd order polynomial over the DLWL(Design Load Waterline) and 3rd order polynomial below the DLWL, This function enables not only the fundamental U-V section shape variation but also systematically modified section lines. The present method is expected to be more useful in the hull form optimization process using CFD compared to the existing method.
UBVRi photometry of Algol was carried out from December of 1988 to March of 1991 at Chungbuk National University Observatory and a total of 3465 observations in U, B, V, R, I were obtained. Three times of primary minimum light of JDH el 2447898.0938, JEH el 2448265.1205 and JDH el 2448288.0598, and two secondary minimum light of JDH el 2447808.1014 and JDH el 2448275.146 were determined from our observations. We analyzed simultaneously the UBVRI light curves of the Algol system with the Wilson-Devinney method for the determination of the photometric parameters. Indivisual masses for the 3 components of Algol are derived as $m_1$=3.36, $m_2$=0.76, $m_3$=1.6 in solar mass and radii as $R_1$=2.97, $R_2$=0.76 in solar radinus using i=$82.{\circ}47$, q=0.227, $r_1$=0.2102, $r_2$=0.2512 of our solution and some parameters of the spectroscopic solution of Hill et al. (1971). Our results is simiar to those reported by Kim (1989). The temperature of Algol C, $T_3$=8800 was obtained by means of fitting $l_1$, $l_2$, and $l_3$ of five colors to Planckian curve, and $R_3$=$1.6R_\odot$ is derived from its result. It is believed that its semidetached configuration of Algol A and B is the consequence of case B mass transfer. According to its location in a mass-radius diagram. Algol b may have evolved significantly in its Hburnning phase.
Cryptomeria japonica plantation was monitored every year during 15 years from 1983 to 1997 for stem diameter and volume. The reciprocal equation, 1/Y = A + B/N, was applied to the relationship between cumulative volume Y and cumulative number N from the largest tree in the stand each year. The parameters A and B, which means respectively the reciprocal of an asymptotic value of total stand stem volume and the reciprocal of the maximum stem volume, are related by a power function. The power functional relationship between A and B derived a linear relationship of B-points ( $N_{B}$, $V_{B}$; $N_{B}$ = B/A, $Y_{B}$ = 1/2A) of each Y-N curve on log-log coordinates. The gradient of B-point line was so steep that the Y-N curve moved parallel upward year by year. The time trajectory of mean stem volume (W) and density ($\rho$) provided evidence in favor of the 3/2 power law of self-thinning, because the gradient of W - $\rho$ trajectory on log-log coordinates approximated to -3/2 at the final stage of stand development. On the basis of the results of Y-N curves and W - $\rho$ trajectory, the time trajectory of maximum stem volume $W_{max obs}$ and $\rho$ was derived theoretically. The gradient of $W_{max obs}$ - $\rho$ trajectory on log-log coordinates is calculated to be -0.6105 at the final stage. The gradient of $W_{max obs}$ - $\rho$ trajectory was steeper than that of W - $\rho$ trajectory at the early stage, while the former is gentler than the latter at the later stage.stage.e.age.e.
EL CVn-type eclipsing binaries are composed of a massive A-type main-sequence primary star and a hotter B-type secondary one. These are worthy of particular attention because the secondary stars are rare objects to be extremely low-mass white dwarf precursors (ELM proto-WD) with the mass of ${\leq}0.2M_{\odot}$, evolving to higher effective temperatures and higher surface gravities. A few of them were discovered to show multi-periodic pulsations in one or both components. We monitored one of these rare and interesting objects, J0247-25 (=1SWASP J024743.37-251549.2), at two KMTNet sites of SAAO in South Africa and SSO in Australia. The observations were performed with the KMTNet 1.6m telescopes and pre-science 4K CCD cameras during the system test run from July to November 2014. Using the photometric data obtained for a total of 23 nights, we constructed well-defined eclipsing light curves in B/V-bands and derived absolute parameters (mass and radius, etc.) of each binary component. After subtracting model eclipsing curves from the data, we detected seven frequencies with 33~53 cycles per day (c/d) and identified them to be Delta Sct-type pulsations originated from the A-type primary component. Five frequencies were turned out to be excited by rotational splitting of non-radial pressure modes, enabled us to investigate rotational properties. We could not detect any frequency higher than 100 c/d, implying that pulsation amplitudes of the proto-WD secondary decrease greatly.
Consumers have recently preferred to purchase extensive UV intercepting products, which are waterproof and free from side effects on skin. During the testing of cytotoxicity (in-vitro) in neutral red (NR) method, cell survival ratio of UV-B interceptors decreased to just above 0.08 w/v%, and it was observed that the UV-A interceptors the ratio also decreased to just above 0.06 w/v%. In addition patch-tests of inorganic UV interceptors resulted in no skin irritation even below 10.0 and 11.25. In absorption curves, UV-B was most suitable for octyl methoxycinnamate (OMC) and UV-A for butyl methoxy dibenzoylmethane (BMDM). For this reason, $Nylonpoly^{TM}$ UVA/UVB the material of OMC and BMDM coated with Nylon & polyethylene, was used as the organic UV interceptor. Zinc oxide (ZnO) and titanium dioxide ($TiO_2$) was used as inorganic UV interceptors. The appropriate mixture ratio of ZnO and $TiO_2$ was 6 to 4:6% of ZnO, 4% of $TiO_2$ and 5% of $Nylonpoly^{TM}$ UVA/UVB were all combined and added to our sunscreen cream. The SPF value of in-vitro was 38.9. In practical application, each sun protection factor (SPF) duration of oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion and water-in-silicone (W/S) emulsion containing sunscreen cream of the same content showed that W/S type of sunscreen cream was 5 times as durable as the other. Therefore, this product is fit for use in swimming, climbing or skiing. This research is to minimize skin trouble caused by UV interceptors and to make one with proper softness, skin safety and UV intercepting efficiency.

We present a new catalog of hard X-ray sources detected in the first 105 months of observations with the Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) on board the Neil Gehrels Swift observatory. The 105 month Swift-BAT survey is a uniform hard X-ray all-sky survey performed in the 14-195 keV band. The Swift-BAT 105 month catalog provides 1632 (422 new detections) hard X-ray sources in the 14 - 195 keV band above the 4.8 sigma significance level. Adding to the previously known hard X-ray sources, 34% (144/422) of the new detections are identified as Seyfert AGN in nearby galaxies (z < 0.2). The majority of the remaining identified sources are X-ray binaries (7%, 31) and blazars/BL Lac objects (10%, 43). As part of this new edition of the Swift-BAT catalog, we release eight-channel spectra and monthly sampled light curves for each object in the online journal and at the Swift-BAT 105 month Web site.

The zinc oxide(ZnO) nanowires were deposited on Si(001) substrates by thermal chemical vapour deposition without any catalysts. SEM data suggested that the grown nanostructures were the well-aligned ZnO single crystals with preferential orientation. Back-gate ZnO nanowire field effect transistors(FET) were successfully fabricated using a photolithography process. The fabricated nanowire FET exhibits good contact between the ZnO nonowire and Au metal electrodes. Based on I-V characteristics it was found out that the ZnO nanowire revealed a characteristic of n-type field effect transistor. The drain current increases with increasing drain voltage, and the slopes of the $I_{ds}-V_{ds}$ curves are dependent on the gate voltage.
Dangguisu-san is a well-known traditional Korean herbal medicine prescription and has been widely used to treat ecchymosis, blood stagnation, and pain resulting from physical shock in Korea. In this study, an ultra-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-mass spectrometer method was established for the simultaneous determination of the 17 biomarker components in Dangguisu-san. All analytes were separated on an UPLC BEH $C_{18}$ ($100{\times}2.1$ mm, $1.7{\mu}m$) column and maintained at $45^{\circ}C$. The mobile phase consisted of two solvent systems, 0.1% (v/v) formic acid in water (A) and acetonitrile (B) by gradient flow. The injection volume was $2.0{\mu}l$ and the flow rate was 0.3 ml/min with detection at mass spectrometer. Calibration curves of the 17 biomarker components were acquired with $r^2$ values ${\geq}0.9951$. The values of limit of detection and quantification of all analytes were 0.02~6.32 ng/ml and 0.05~18.95 ng/ml, respectively. The amounts of the 17 components in Dangguisu-san sample were $3.17{\sim}13,224.50{\mu}g/g$.
Here we present the comparative experimental study of the stability of the superconducting state in 4 mm YBCO tapes with copper lamination against local heat disturbances at 77 K. The samples are either directly cooled by immersing a bare YBCO tape into a liquid nitrogen pool or operate in nearly-adiabatic conditions when the tape is covered by a 0.6 mm layer of Kapton insulation. Main quench characteristics, i.e. minimum quench energies (MQEs) and normal zone propagation (NZP) velocities for both samples are measured and compared. Minimum NZP currents are determined by a low ohmic resistor technique eligible for obtaining V - I curves with a negative differential resistance. The region of transport currents satisfying the stationary stability criterion is found for the different cooling conditions. Finally, we use the critical temperature margin as a universal scaling parameter to compare the MQEs obtained in this work for YBCO tapes at 77 K with those taken from literature for low-temperature superconductors in vacuum at 4.2 K, as well as for MgB2 wires cooled with a cryocooler down to 20 K.
