  • In order to operate a combine harvester at the optimum conditions and maximum performance, a forward speed control system(FSCS) was designed and develped. The FSCS consisted of engine, continuously variable V-belt transmission, threshing unit, traveling unit, detecting unit, and controller. Each components of the system were mathematically modeled. By a computer simulation, the effects of control parameters such as hydraulic piston speed, speed ratio, dead band of engine speed on the system performance were analysed, and the optimum control conditions were identified. The system appeared to be the most stable at the hydraulic piston speed of 10.6mm/s and the speed ratio of 0.4. The proper dead band of engine speed appeared to be 30rpm through the simulation and verification tests.

  • Stick-slip of belt-pulley system produces vibration which results in the noise problem. Experimental study was carried out to investigate the phenomenon of stick-slip with simple v-belt system. The optical displacement sensor detected the vibration caused by the stick-slip of which the frequency was significantly dependant on tension of the belt. The rotation speed of putties also affected the frequency and magnitude of the stick-slip vibration. Existence of misalignment between the driven and drive pulleys made some difference in the stick-slip frequency, but not much. Further study is necessary to identify the generation of noise from the stick-slip vibration.

  • This study was carried out to measure and analyze the characteristics of noise and vibration, and to analyze their effects on the productivity of layers, mechanical troubles, and abnormal wear-out failure of facilities and equipment of the layer house. The measurements of noise and vibration were taken at 13 layer farms nationwide for the operations of feed supplier system, feed distribution system, automatic egg collection system, ventilation system, blot conveyer for layer feces, and fur the case of with and without their operation by a sound level meter and a vibration measuring system in the layer house equipped with upright multi-tier cages. Measurement results showed that normal times were noise(N) 82 dB and vibration(V) 0.2072 cm/s, feed supplier system were 90 dB(N) and 2.8560 cm/s(V), feed distribution system were 90 dB(N) and 2.0222 cm/s(V), automatic egg collection system were 87 dB(N) and 0.1865 cm/s(V), ventilation system 88 dB(N) and 2.5364 cm/s(V), belt conveyer fur layer feces were 88 dB(N) and 0.2387 cm/s(V), and then maximum values of noise and vibration were 90 dB and 2.8560 cm/s, respectively, when feeding systems(feed supplying system and feed distribution system) were operated. Based on these results, an experiment is being conducted to find out the effect of noise and vibration on the productivity of layers in the layer house equipped with upright multi-tier cages.

  • In this study, a new type of eccentric cam was used for the development of a small size reducer with a two-shift reduction ratio while maintaining the same volume as the existing one-shift speed reducer. Therefore, a two-shift speed reducer was designed using the concept of a continuously variable transmission applied to automobiles. The cam was designed to have an eccentric shape with a $180^{\circ}$ phase difference to act as a tensioner to minimize slip by squeezing the V-belt connected to the deceleration pulley and the acceleration pulley, respectively. The cam was designed to have a diameter of 35mm and an outer diameter of 18mm so that the outer portion of the v-belt could contact the cam perfectly. A pulley with a diameter of 50.8mm was installed on the low speed pulley input shaft for deceleration and a pulley with a diameter of 76.2mm was provided on the output shaft. In the high-speed pulley for acceleration, a pulley with a diameter of 76.2mm is provided on the input shaft, and a pulley with a diameter of 50.8mm is provided on the output shaft. Based on the design details, the power transmission efficiency test and the heating characteristics of the transmission were tested to verify the feasibility. In addition, through validation, the suitability of the reducer was demonstrated.

Triple Junction GAGET2-ID2 Solar Cell Degradation by Solar Proton Events (태양 양성자 이벤트에 의한 삼중 접합 GAGET2-ID2 태양전지 열화)

  • In nearly all space environments, the solar cell degradation is dominated by protons[1]. Even through a GEO orbit lines in the electron radiation belts, the protons emitted from any solar event will still dominate the degradation[1]. Since COMS launch on June 26 2010, the proton events with the fluence of more than approximately 30 times the average level of perennial observations were observed between January 23 - 29 2012 and March 07 - 14 2012[16]. This paper studies the solar cell degradation by solar proton events in January and March 2012 for the open circuit voltage(Voc) of a witness cell and the short circuit current(Isc) of a section connected to a shunt switch. To evaluate the performance of solar cell, the flight data of voltage and current are corrected to the temperature, the Earth-Sun distance and the Sun angle and then compare with the solar cell characteristics at BOL. The Voc voltage dropped about 23.6mV compare after the March 2012 proton events to before the January 2012 proton events. The Voc voltage dropped less than 1% at BOL, which is 2575mV. The Isc current decreased negligible, as expected, in the March 2012 proton events.

  • As combining the functions of a 2K-H B type differential gear unit and a V-belt type continuously variable unit(CVU), 16 different mechanisms are presented. Some useful theoretical formula related to speed ratio, power flow and efficiency are derived and analyzed. Continuously variable transmission(CVT) mechanisms are proposed, which can of ffr a backward mode, a geared neutral, an underdrive mode and an overdrive mode. They are not required of a starting device as a torque converter. CVT mechanisms developed here present two distinct operating modes which are a power circulation mode and a power split mode. The transition of two modes takes place at the particular CVU speed ratio. For these CVT mechanisms, performance analysis related to speed ratio, power ratio and theoretical efficiency are executed.

고온압착 건조 처리시 표면처리를 통한 고강도 라이너지 개발

  • 저급의 고지 원료를 두께 방향으로 고온 압착을 가하여 건조함으로써 전반적인 종이 물성 을 향상시키는 콘디벨트 건조 방식은 70년대 중반부터 80년대에 이르는 10여년에 걸친 개발 과정을 거쳤으며 90년대에 들어서 핀랜드의 Inkeroinen에 위치한 V alemt- Tarnpella의 연구 소에 최초의 파일로트 설비가 설치되었으며 그 후 1996년에는 핀랜드 ENSO사의 P Pank밟oski 판지공장에 설치됨으로써 세계 최초의 상업생산설비를 이루게 되었다. 기존의 실린더 건조 기술과 비교할 때 콘디벨트 건조방식은 건조속도를 약 5-15배 향상시킬 수 있 으며, 건조 에너지 절감에 큰 효과가 있을 뿐만 아니라 기존의 실린더 건조시 종이가 폭방 향으로 수축되 어 인장 stiffness와 압축 강도 동의 종이 물성 이 저 하되 는 반면 습윤상태 의 섬유를 120도씨이상에서 가열에 의해 리그닌을 연화시킴과 동시에 섬유의 유연성을 증가시켜 준다. 그리고 높은 압력을 가해줌으로써 섬유간의 결합 면적을 증가시키고 건조시 종이의 폭방향의 수축을 감소시켜 인장강도, 내부결합강도, 밀도, 표면평활성, 투기저항성 등 종이의 물성을 대폭 향상시켜주는 혁신적인 제지기술로 인정받고 있으며 국내의 경우 현재 1998년 부터 상업생산을 이루어짐으로써 그 공헌도는 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 골판지의 주원료가 되는 국산 골판지 고지 (Korean old corrugated container, K KOCC)의 거듭된 재생처리로 인하여 미세분의 함량이 전체 지료의 절반 이상에 달할 뿐만 아니라, 섬유가 각질화와 단섬유화로 인하여 고온압착 건조처리 만으로는 골판지 고지로 생 산된 원지의 강도를 버진펄프로 생산된 원지가 가지는 강도에 준하는 강도로 향상시키는데 한계점을 가지게 된다. 유럽의 제지선진국들은 골판지 원지의 강도를 향상시키는 방편으로 표변에 전분 사이즈 프레스 처리를 도입하였으며 본 연구에서는 고온 압착 건조 처리 설비를 활용한 전분 표면처리의 가능성을 검토하고 골판지 원지의 강도를 향상시키기 위한 표면처리조건을 탐색하였다.

The structure analysis of $Y_1Ba_2Cu_3O_x$ high Tc superconductor based on rietveld method (리트벨트 해석법을 이용한 $Y_1Ba_2Cu_3O_x$ 고온 초전도체의 구조분석)

  • For the execution of RIETAN program adopting Rietveld Analysis Method, the sample superconductor is made according to the solid state synthesis method at 920.deg. C for 24hrs, and was examined for the optimization of parameters needed to analyze Rietveld method with the input of the measured pattern data after measuring the pattern resulted from the X-ray diffraction. It was proven that the lattice constant of the superconductor which was consisted of Pmmm orthorhombic crystal structure in the analyzed space group correspond to the presented theoretical lattice constant a=3.8887(8).angs., b=3.8238(4).angs., c=11.7079.angs.. Therefore, it was examined and confin-ned that the R factor, which was compensated after analyzing the structure of superconductor resulted from this experimented data with the computer simulation, was refined to $R_{wp}$=8.83[%], $R_{P}$=6.47[%], $R_{I}$=10.08[%], $R_{F}$=7.19[%], $R_{E}$=3.76[%]. On the basis of these experimental data, the significant parameter such as the scale factor(S) and the zero point shift(Z) and FWHM value(U,V,W) were optimized as follows; S=2.0827E-3, Z=0.2146, U=4.2761E-2, V=1.7983E-2, and W=2.6768E-2.2.2.2.2.2.

  • In this paper, the control strategy of ratio changing system for a metal belt CVT adopting primary pressure regulation is developed, and the shirting performance of pressure regulating type CVT with the suggested control strategy is investigated. The control strategy suggested in this study is composed of 2 feedback loop, one is speed ratio feedback and the other is primary pressure feedback. The pressure feedback is adopted to ensure prohibiting a belt slip during transient period in a fast downshift mode. Simulation results show that the system with suggested control strategy gives appropriate response time and tracking Performance for upshift and also gives a proper primary pressure which can prohibit the belt slip. In addition, it is fecund that the given system has an acceptable servo property in tracking the target speed ratio and robustness for the disturbance of line pressure.

  • In this paper, a primary pressure regulating type ratio control system is developed for a metal belt CVT, and the CVT ratio changing characteristics are investigated by simulation and experiment. The hydraulic part of the ratio control system has a simple structure with one 3-way spool valve as a main ratio control valve and one bleed type variable force solenoid as a pilot valve. The mathematical modelling of the CVT hydraulic system is derived by considering the CVT shift dynamics. Simulation results of CVT speed ratio and the primary pressure agree with the experimental results demonstrating the validity of the dynamic models. It is found from the simulation and experimental results that the response time of speed ratio and primary pressure can be shortened by increasing the ratio control valve port area, and the size of feedback orifice of ratio control valve gives a damping effect on the primary pressure oscillation.
