In the conduct of this study, a web-enabled healthcare system for the management of hypertension was implemented through a hyperlink-based inference approach. The hyperlink-based inference platform implemented using the hypertext capacity of HTML which ensured accessibility, multimedia facilities, fast response, stability, ease of use and upgrade, and platform independency of expert systems. Many HTML documents, which are hyperlinked to each other based on expert rules, were uploaded beforehand to perform the hyperlink-based inference. The HTML documents were uploaded and maintained automatically by our proprietary tool called the Web-Based inference System (WeBIS) that supports a graphical user interface (GUI) for the input and edit of decision graphs. Nevertheless, the editing task of the decision graph using the GUI tool is a time consuming and tedious chore when the knowledge engineer must perform it manually. Accordingly, this research implemented an automatic generator of the decision graph for the management of hypertension. As a result, this research suggests a methodology for the development of Web-enabled healthcare systems using the hyperlink-based inference approach and, as an example, implements a Web-enabled healthcare system for hypertension, a platform which peformed especially well in the areas of speed and stability.

웹 서비스를 기반으로 한 인터넷은 비약적으로 발전하고 있으며, 차세대 웹 표준화를 위한 노력이 전세계적으로 진행 중에 있다. 처음 개발된 당시 웹은 텍스트 기반의 구조에 맞추어 HTTP, HTML, URL이 제안되어 이를 통해 비동기적인 형태의 검색과 단순하고 단일한 방식의 표현 방식을 사용해 왔다. 그러나 최근 인터넷 상의 상당수의 데이터들은 보다 복잡해지고 구조화되어 가고 있으며 동기적인 멀티미디어 정보를 포함하는 등 새로운 구조 및 표현 방식을 요구하게 되었다. W3C의 사용자 인터페이스 도메인 중 멀티미디어 동기화 그룹에서 현재 표준화 작업중인 언어는 SMIL SMIL은 웹 상에서 멀티미디어 요소들이 잘 통합되어 어느 위치에서 얼마동안 표현되는지를 기술하는 XML-기반 언어이다. 본 논문에서는SMIL 관련 표준화 동향 및 주요 이슈들을 연구 분석하고 기술 개발 내용에 대하여 논의한다.

본 논문에서는 소규모 실습실을 대상으로 웹기반의 네트워크 트래픽 모니터링 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 네트워크 관리자로 하여금 네트워클 분석하여 네트워크와 시스템의 운영 및 관리, 확장. 그리고 디자인을 지원할 수 있다. 전체 시스템은 네트워크 정보를 수집하고 분석하며, 네트워크 트래픽의 실시간 분석을 지원하는 분석 서버와 서버로부터 수신된 결과를 분석하여 사용자에게 그래픽적인 데이터로 보여주는 웹기반 사용자 인터페이스인 클라이언트 시스템으로 구성된다. 제안된 시스템은 웹기반 기술인 자바로 구현되었으며 다양한 분석 기능 및 활용방안을 제공함으로써 관리자로 하여금 실습실에 대한 효율적인 관리 활동을 지원할 수 있도록 한다.

Recently, the conventional controller of machine-tool has been increasingly replaced by the PC-based open architecture controller, which is independent of the CNC vendor and on which it is possible to implement user-defined application programs. This paper proposes CNC­implemented fault diagnosis and web-based remote services for machine-tool with open architecture CNC. The faults of CNC machine-tool are defined as the operational faults occupied by over $70{\%}$ of all faults. The operational faults are unpredictable as they occur without any warning. Two diagnostic models, the switching function and the step switching function, were proposed in order to diagnose faults efficiently. The faults were automatically diagnosed through the fault diagnosis system using the two diagnostic models. A suitable interface environment between CNC and developed application modules was constructed for the internal function of CNC. In addition, a suitable web environment was constructed for remote services. The web service functions, such as remote monitoring and remote control, were implemented, and their operability was tested through the web. The results obtained through this research could be a model of fault diagnosis and remote servicing for machine-tool with open architecture CNC.

Home security has become the prime concern for everyone in present scenario. In this work an attempt has been made to develop a home security system which is accessible, affordable and yet effective.The proposed system is based on 'Remote Embedded Control System' (RECS) which works both on the web and gsm platform for authentication and monitoring. This system is therefore cost effective as it relies on existing network infrastructure. As PCA is most popular and efficient algorithm for face recognition, it has been usedin this work. Next to it an interface has been developed for communication purpose in the embedded security system through the ZigBee module. Based on this embedded system, automated control of door movement has been implemented through electromagnetic door lock technology. This helps the users to monitor the real-time activities through web services/SMS. The web service consists of either web browser command or e-mail provision. The system establishes the communication between the system and authenticated user. The e-mail received by the system from the authorized person will monitor and control the real-time operation and door lock. The entire control system is reinforced using ARM1176JZF-S microcontroller and tested for actual use in the home environment. The result shows the experimental verification of the proposed system.

Location based services based on positions of moving objects are expanding the business area gradually. The location is included all estimate position of the future as well as the position of the present and the past. Location based routing service is active business application in which the position information of moving objects is applied efficiently. This service includes the trajectory of past positions, the real-time tracing of present position of special moving objects, and the shortest and optimized paths combined with map information. In this paper, we describes the location based routing services is extend in distributed web GIS environment. Web GIS service systems provide the various GIS services of analyzing and displaying the spatial data with friendly user - interface. That is, we propose the efficient architecture and technologies for servicing the location based routing services in distributed web GIS environment. The position of moving objects is acquired by GPS (Global Positioning System) and converted the coordinate of real world by map matching with geometric information. We suppose the swapping method between main memory and storages to access the quite a number of moving objects. And, the result of location based routing services is wrapped the web-styled data format. We design the schema based on the GML. We design these services as components were developed in object-oriented computing environment, and provide the interoperability, language-independent, easy developing environment as well as re - usability.

The "Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral (KIGAM) Quake" is a web-based open platform developed for publicly serving seismological data from 61 stations operated by KIGAM in Korea. The service provides meta-information related to observatory sites, sensors, and recorders necessary for utilizing the seismological data, as well as mainly observed continuous and strong-motion waveforms. The data is available through both the web and International Federation of Digital Seismograph Networks (FDSN) web services (open API), a unified data-providing interface in seismology. The platform aims to strengthen its open nature by offering a signal processing function for strong ground motions that can be controlled by user requests. The processed results can be downloaded in ASCII format, designed to meet the increased demands and accessibility in the earthquake engineering field. The platform also offers earthquake research information produced by KIGAM, such as recent major earthquake source information and academic annual report of earthquakes. Additionally, a site flat file was constructed for the geotechnical characteristics of 61 KIGAM station (KGNET) sites based on direct investigations and estimations.

웹기반의 어플레케이션 설계 및 구축 과정에서의 핵심은 WACID 시스템의 서비스 목적을 이해하는 것이다. WACID 시스템의 서비스 목적은 국내 방사성폐기물 관리 요소 및 보고체계를 통합한다. 웹을 통한 대국민 방사성 폐기물 정보 공개에 대한 투명성을 제공하기 위함이다. 일반인 및 관련 종사자들에게 최상의 서비스 제공을 위한 신뢰성 있는 데이터를 제공한다. 친숙한 사용자인터페이스(User Interface)로 설계되었다. 단순한 방사성 폐기물 관리 요소 검색을 위한 웹기반 시스템이 아닌 방사성 폐기물과 관련된 이해를 돕기 위한 다양한 도구들을 제공한다.(중략)

본 논문에서는 영어 학원을 대상으로 ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) 시스템을 적용, 웹(Web)상에서 학원교사와 관리자가 학생 개개인의 프로필, 성적, 출결, 상담 등의 학생관리 업무와 학원비 관련 회계를 동시에 처리 및 관리해 주는 웹 어플리케이션이다. 기존의 사용하기 복잡한 학원관리프로그램을 지양하며, 웹 사이트와 같은 메뉴와 페이지 단위 구성으로 누구에게나 친숙한 UI(User Interface)를 제공한다.

본 논문은 원격에서의 의료 기술이나, 대용량을 요구하는 실시간 협업 등에서 사용자의 요구에 따라 빠르게 요구 대역폭을 할당하고 보장하기 위한 Dynamic Circuit Network 구현 방법을 기술 하였다. 이를 위해 QoS, MPLS, RSVP 기술을 기반으로 2계층의 LSP을 동적으로 할당할 수 있도록 하였으며, 사용자는 이를 웹 기반의 인터페이스(web-based user interface)를 통해 쉽게 서비스 받을 수 있도록 하였다.
