  • This paper examines the conceptual shift of wilderness and its legacy to the contradictory view of nature in landscape architecture tradition. In hunting and gathering societies, there was no dichotomy between the cultivated environment and wilderness. 'Wilderness' is a word whose first usage marks the transition from a hunting-gathering economy to an agricultural society. We can identify two archetypal responses to wilderness: classical and romantic. In the classical perspective, wilderness is something to be feared-an area of waste and desolation. The conquest of wilderness and the creation of usable places is a mark of civilization. For the romantics, in contrast, untouched wilderness has the greatest significance; it has a purity that human contact tends to sully and degrade. Wilderness for the romantics is a place to revere, a place of deep spiritual significance, and an object of aesthetic experience. In the Western world, the classical position predominated until the last two hundred years when the romantic concept began to gain more ground. The shift was made possible by the change in the way nature is understood. Modernity and modern science objectified nature. The transition of the concept of wilderness exemplifies the objectification and pictorialization of nature. Wilderness in the modern era is not different from the pastoral landscape which can be controlled by landscape architects.

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the current status of the use of neglect test tools and the awareness for egocentric neglect (EN) and allocentric neglect (AN). Methods: A survey questionnaire was distributed to occupational therapists attending continuing education at the Daegu-Gyeongbuk branch on April 16. A total 143 responses were collected, and with the exception of 5 incomplete responses, 138 of them were analyzed. Results: The most commonly used unilateral neglect test tools were the line bisection test (86 responses, 62.3%), cancellation test (35 responses, 25.4%), copy and drawing test (7 responses, 5.1%). In a follow-up survey of 86 respondents who used line bisection tests as the most commonly used test, the majority (82 responses, 95.3%2) were found to use the 20-line test paper. In question about the familiarity and education experience for test manual, only 20 responses (23.2%) and 3 responses (3.5%) answered 'Yes'. In a question about the experience of a manual and the article for the manual, 25 responses (29.1%) answered 'Yes'. In the question regarding the separation of EN and AN on the unilateral neglect test, 44 responses (31.9%) were 'distinction' and 94 responses (68.1%) were 'no distinction'. Conclusion: Information on the guidance and interpretation of the line bisection test is lacking and the concept of EN and AN was insufficient.

It conducted the self-administered survey on the subject of 780 laboratory workers engaging in research activities in three university from February to May, 2017. Among them, it analyzed 686 cases except 94 of them, lacking content. As a result, education experience of MSDS, necessity of education, usage experience of MSDS, installation, comprehension, and accessibility showed a strategically significant difference in the recognition of MSDS. According to the categorical importance of MSDS, "the first aid measures" directly related to life was most significantly considered. It is estimated that it will contribute to prevention of safety accident by strengthening education on MSDS and increasing the level of awareness for laboratory workers.

  • From the past to the present, reviews have had much influence on consumers' purchasing decisions. Companies are making various efforts, such as introducing a review incentive system to increase the number of reviews. Recently, as various types of reviews can be left, reviews have begun to be recognized as interesting new content. This way, reviews have become essential in creating loyal customers. Therefore, research and utilization of reviews are being actively conducted. Some studies analyze reviews to discover customers' needs, studies that upgrade recommendation systems using reviews, and studies that analyze consumers' emotions and attitudes through reviews. However, research that predicts the future using reviews is insufficient. This study used a dataset consisting of two reviews written in pairs with differences in usage periods. In this study, the direction of consumer product evaluation is predicted using KoBERT, which shows excellent performance in Text Deep Learning. We used 7,233 reviews collected to demonstrate the excellence of the proposed model. As a result, the proposed model using the review text and the star rating showed excellent performance compared to the baseline that follows the majority voting.

  • Objectives: Medical services are closely related to individual health and welfare, and health status in childhood or adolescence is widely recognized to be related to many socioeconomic outcomes. Therefore, providing appropriate medical services in childhood and adolescence is important. We aimed to investigate the determinants of traditional Korean medical services (TKMS) usage by children aged < 19 years. The focus was on the role of their parents' experiences with TKMS in determining TKMS use by children. Methods: Using a representative sample in South Korea, we conducted a regression analysis to assess how parents' experience with TKMS affects the probability of their children using TKMS. Results: We found parents' experience with TKMS to have a significantly positive effect on the probability of TKMS use by children and parents' biological information, such as age and sex, to affect the probability of TKMS use. Specifically, parents' experiences with TKMS generally increased the probability of children using TKMS by approximately 20%. Conclusion: This study's results suggest that considering parents' opinions and providing them the opportunity to participate in programs that enhance young children's use of TKMS may be effective.
