Every year in Europe, soils covering an area larger than the city of Berlin are lost to urban sprawl and transport infrastructure. Soil sealing causes an irreversible loss of the biological functions of soil. As water can neither infiltrate nor evaporate, water runoff increases, sometimes leading to catastrophic floods. Landscapes are fragmented and habitats become too small or too isolated to support certain species. In addition, the food production potential of land is lost forever. There is an urgent need to use this valuable resource more wisely, in order to secure its many vital services for future generations. The EU faces new territorial challenges.

The huge economical damage and environmental pollution have been occurred for decades because of using of fossil fuel. So the development of alternative energy is urgent. In the west sea of Korea, a proper area for tidal power plant, development and investigation for economical efficient of tidal power plant are preceeding. The water turbine generator with the capacity of 25.4MW was used to compare single-basin flood tide generation with ebb tide generation while considering the water depth and tide in the vicinity of Sukmodo.

There have been various inflammatory skin disorders in humans including atopic dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis. Although some drugs have been used for these disorders, there is an urgent need for safer and more effective topical anti-inflammatory agents. Plant flavonoids possess anti-inflammatory activity and some of them have multiple pharmacological mechanisms, inhibition of eicosanoid metabolizing enzymes, histamine release and/or down-regulation of pro inflammatory gene expression. These properties of flavonoids may be suitable for treating chronic skin inflammatory disorders. Especially, wogonin, some prenylated flavonoids and biflavonoids have a strong potential as new anti-inflammatory agents by topical application.

The present topic in pharmaceutical industry is to establish Quality Assurance System for medicinal product Therefore, the most important and urgent subject to be solved in the field of the manufacturing industry is to establish, implement and maintain the control system for ensuring uniformity of medicinal product. In case of solid dosage forms for internal use, its quality was controlled by disintegration test, etc but at present bioavailability could be predicted with dissolution test and so the assurance of its uniformity should be prerequistie to preserve suitable dissolution of the manufactured medicinal product. The totality of language learning comprises three integrated components: linguistic, cultural, and attitudinal (Wilkes, 1983).Positively sensitizing students to cultural phenomena is urgent and crucial. A positive attitude toward L2 culture is a factor in language learning that leads to cross cultural understanding. This research examined, through a survey analysis, how three groups of students (one high school group and two university student groups) viewed the role of their foreign culture (i.e., American and British cultures) in achieving cultural understanding. The focus was upon how EFL learners approach the target language culture as well as their own culture.

In order to solve scheduling, many techniques including optimization and heuristics methods have been proposed. However, these conventional approaches are usually inadequate to obtain a satisfactory solution because of a NP-Complete which requires extensive computation effort. The aim of this paper is to develop an expert system for job shop scheduling using an AI technique. Through this system, the user can choose one of several performances. If one performance is chosen, then the system solves a scheduling in order to satisfy that performance. Then, this system decides urgent job. This system can utilize production resources efficiently and minimize work-in-process inventories and tardy jobs.

Prosthetic valve endocarditis with aortic root abscess is a serious condition requiring urgent surgical intervention. We present a case caused by an infected Bentall mechanical valve conduit after cardiac surgery in a patient who was referred for a suprasternal pulsatile mass. The patient also had 1 episode of sentinel haemorrhage.

This study is Long term preservation measures which is closely related to preserving paper records, record condition evaluation, preservation measure and is conducted as follows. As for Means to Evaluate the Deterioration and Damaged Conditions of Records, research and analysis has been made on the contamination and deterioration examples such as damage, dry, stapler, metal, contamination, acidification which are the characteristics of paper record damage types. The of Paper record is one of the key procedures to evaluate the record material and its physi-chemical status in many criteria and to suggest the best preservation method. Between 1970 and 2000, the main record materials was fine paper and OMR paper along with partly newspaper and coarse paper, whereas the main recording material was ball point pen. Overall damage and deterioration status is, for record materials between 1940 and 1960, high deterioration was found and in urgent need for preservation measure and more damages are caused by tapes, staplers and metals. As for records after 1970, there is light deterioration but needs preservation process. There are approximately 3 million records produces before 2000, and assuming that there are 30 pages per record and that 30% has been damaged or deteriorated, 27 million pages are subject to preservation process. Among damaged or deteriorated records, there are large number of records impossible to go through deacidification process so manual preservation and restoration process is necessary as well. Securing manpower having preservation and restoration skills as well as preservation equipment(deacidification process, preservation and restoration) is in urgent need.
