BHC 이성질체(異性質體)의 활용(活用)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) -제초제(除草劑)로서 3-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl)-1- methyl urea의 합성(合成)- (On the Utilization of Inactive BHC isomers -Synthesis of 3-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl)-1-methyl urea as a herbicide-)

  • 잔류성(殘留性) 살충제(殺忠劑)인 BHC의 합리적(合理的) 사용방법(使用方法)을 찾기 위하여 용매추출법(溶媒抽出法)에 의한 ${\gamma}$-isomer를 분리(分離) 및 농축(濃縮)하였다. 그리고 불활성(不活性) 이성질체(異性質體)로 부터 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene, 2,4,5-trichloronitrobenzene, 2,4,5-trichloroaniline을 거쳐 3-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl)-1-methyl urea를 합성(合成)하였으며 몇가지 작물(作物)에 대한 발아(發芽) 및 생육억제효과(生育抑制效果)를 조사하였다. 실험결과(實驗結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. methanol-물 용매계(溶媒系)에서 BHC 원제(原劑)를 재결정(再結晶)하였고, ${\gamma}$-이성질체의 회수율(回收率) 95%에서 ${\gamma}$-이성질체의 조성(組成)이 49.5%로 강화(强化)된 BHC 결정(結晶)을 얻었다. 2. BHC 원제(原劑)를 85%의 methanol성(性) 수용액(水溶液)으로 추출(抽出)한 다음, chloroform이 분배(分配)시켜 재결정시켰을 때는 ${\gamma}$-이성질체의 회수율 90.5%에서 ${\gamma}$-이성질체의 조성(組成)이 89.6%로 농축된 BHC 결정을 얻을수 있었다. 3. BHC 원제로 부터 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene의 합성시(合成時), 합성수율(合成收率)은 alkali 농도(溫度)에 크게 좌우되며, 사용(使用)된 alkali의 종류에도 다소 영향을 받는다. 4. BHC 원제의 alkali 가수분해시(加水分解時) 계면활성제(界面活性劑)의 첨가(添加)는 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene의 수율(收率)을 높혔다. 특히 사급(四級)암모늄염은 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene의 수량(收量)을 크게 증가(增加)시켰다. 5. 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene으로 부터 2,4,5-trichloronitrobenzene의 합성시(合成時) nitro 화시약(化試藥)으로서 $HNO_3-H_2SO_4$를 사용하였을때 94.4%라는 높은 수율(收率)을 보였다. 6. 2,4,5-trichloronitrobenzene을 철(鐵)과 염산(鹽酸)으로 환원(還元)시켰을때, 생성(生成)된 2,4,5-trichloroaniline의 수율(收率)은 91.4%이였다. 7. BHC 원제(原劑)를 기준(基準)으로한 3-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl)-1-methyl urea의 전수율(全收率)은 60.8%이었다. 8. 6종(種)의 작물에 대한 3-(2,4,5-trichlorophenot)-1-methyl urea의 발아(發芽) 및 생육억제효과(生育抑制效果)는 대조(對照)로 사용한 urea계(系) 제초제(除草劑)인 linuron, diuron 보다 강(强)하였으며, 또 본(本) 화합물(化合物)에 대한 감수성(感受性)은 작물의 종류(種類)와 부위(部位)에 따라 차이(差異)가 있었다.

Fallow Cover Crop Species and Nitrogen Rate of Fertigated Solution on Cucumber Yield and Soil Sustainability in Greenhouse Condition

  • Nutrient accumulation in surface soil has become a serious problem for cucumber production in greenhouse. However, still in many cases, soil management practices are only focused on maintaining crop yield, regardless of sustainability related with soil chemical properties. This study was conducted to propose a sustainable soil management practice by investigating the impact of cover crop species and nitrogen rate of fertigated solution on cucumber yield and soil chemical properties in greenhouse condition. Rye and hairy vetch were tested as a fallow cover crop, and each amount of urea (1/2, 3/4, 1 times of N fertilizer recommendations), determined by soil testing result, was supplied in fertigation plots as an additional nitrogen source. The result showed that the yield of cucumber was higher in rye treatment than control and hairy vetch treatment. In addition, rye effectively reduced EC and accumulated nutrients from the soil. Meanwhile, N concentration of fertigated solution showed no significant effect on the growth and yield of cucumber. Consequently, these results suggest that it is desirable to choose rye as a fallow catch crop for sustainable cucumber production in greenhouse.

이하선 타액내 Parotid Middle-Band Protein(Pm)의 유전적 다형현상에 관한 연구 (Genetic Polymorphism of Parotid Middle Band protein(Pm) in a Korean Population)

  • It is known that human saliva includes various kinds of salivaru proteins that show genetic polymorphism. Withrespect to salivary protein polymorphism, this study was conducted on 160 healthy Koreans between the ages of 20 and 29 chosen randomly : their parotid slaiva was collected, freeze-dried, and horizontally electrophoresed over acid-urea starch gel. Aluminum lactate-lactic acid was also used as buffer solution. The gel was stained with amidoblack 10B/1% acetic acid solution, and then destained with 0.5M H2SO4 solution. Accordingly, the parotid middle-band protein(Pm) identified, and its phenotypes and gene frequency were obtained. The obtined results were as follows : 1. The phenotypes of parotid middle band protein(Pm) observed in parotid saliva of the 160 Koreans were Pm(+) in 91 people (56.9%) and Pm(-) in 69 people (43.1%) 2. The gene frequency of Pm+ was 0.343, and that of Pm-waw 0.657. 3. The gene frequency of parotid middle band protein (Pm) obtained from Korean's parotid saliva was midway between that of Japanese and Chinese.

수용액중의 비페닐디메칠디카르복실레이트의 가용화 (Solubilization of Biphenyl Dimethyl Dicarboxylate in Aqueous Solution)

  • In order to formulate biphenyl dimethyl dicarboxylate(DDB) aqueous solutions, the effects of various solubilizing agents such as cosolvents(PG, PEG 400, glycerin, ethanol), surfactants,$(poloxamer\;407,\;Cremophor^{\circledR}\; RH40,\;Solutol^{\circledR},\;Tween\;80,\;sodium\;lauryl\;sulfate)$, complexation agent$(CELDEX^{\circledR}\;CH-20)$ and others(urea, niacinamide, propylene carbonate, HPMC) on the solubility of DDB in water were evaluated. The solubility of DDB in water was about $0.21\;{\mu}g/ml\;at\;20^{\circ}C$, while its solubility in PEG 400 was 5,000 times higher than that in water. 60% PEG 400 aqueous solution was selected as an optimum solvent system, and surfactants or other solubilizing agents were added to prevent DDB from recrystalization. The addition of surfactants in water increased the solubility of DDB from 15- to 34-fold, however, $CELDEX^{\circledR}\;CH-20$ and other agents studied showed negligible effects on the solubility of DDB in water. The 60% PEG 400 aqueous solution containing 5% $Cremophor^{\circledR}$ RH40 was appeared as the formula of choice. It showed acceptable physical stability after stored for 7 days at $4^{\circ}C$.

흰쥐 콩팥에서 요소운반체-A의 발현: 미세구조적 면역세포화학법 (Expression of UT-A in Rat Kidney: Ultrastructural Immunocytochemistry)

  • 포유동물의 콩팥에서 오줌 농축기전에 중요한 요소(urea)의 이동에 관여하는 요소운반체 (urea transporter, UT)에는 요세관에서 발현되는 요소운반체인 UT-A와 적혈구에서 발현되는 요소운반체인 UT-B가 있다. 최근 UT-A에는 UT-A1, UT-A2, UT-A3, UT-A4, UT-A5 등 5종류가 있음이 밝혀졌다. 이 연구에서는 콩팥내 요세관 세포에서 UT-A1, UT-A2 및 UT-A4를 표지하는 것으로 알려진 UT-A (L403)의 분포를 밝히고자 하였다. Sprague-Dawley계 흰쥐($200{\sim}250g$)의 콩팥을 대상으로 정상군, 탈수군(식수를 3일간 공급하지 않은 군) 및 수분과잉공급군(3%의 sucrose를 섞은 식수를 3일간 자유롭게 먹였다)의 3군으로 나누었다. 콩팥은 복대동맥을 통하여 2% paraformaldehyde-lysine-periodate (PLP) 또는 8% paraformaldehyde용액으로 10분간 관류 고정하였다. 콩팥조직절편은 UT-A에 대한 토끼 다클론항체를 이용하여 포매전면역염색법을 이용한 과산화효소법과 면역도금법을 시행한 후 광학 및 전자현미경으로 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 흰쥐 콩팥에서 UT-A1은 속수질집합관의 세포질에 산재하여 분포하고 있었으며, UT-A2는 짧은-헨레고리의 내림가는부분 말단 1/2 부분의 상피세포(I형 세포)와 속수질 초기부분에 있는 긴-헨레고리의 내림가는부분 상피세포(II형 세포)의 세포막에 분포하고 있었다. 속수질집합관내 UT-A1은 탈수군에서는 감소하였으며, 수분과잉공급군에서는 증가하였다. 짧은-헨레고리의 내림가는부분에 있는 UT-A2는 탈수군과 수분과잉공급군 모두에서 증가하되 수분과잉공급군에서 더 증가하였다. 긴-헨레고리의 내림가는부분 중 속수질 초기부분에서 발현되는 UT-A2의 면역반응성은 탈수군에서 현저히 증가하였으나, 수분과잉공급군에서는 정상군에서처럼 약하게 발현되었다. 이상의 연구 결과로 보아 흰쥐 콩팥에서 UT-A1은 속수질집합관의 세포질에 UT-A2는 짧은-헨레고리와 긴-헨레고리의 내림가는부분 상피세포의 세포막에 분포하고 있으며 서로 다른 기전에 의하여 조절되고 있는 것으로 생각된다.

EICP에 의한 미세먼지 억제: 실내 실험 및 현장 적용 (Fine Dust Suppression by Enzyme Induced Carbonate Precipitation: Indoor Experiment and Field Application)

  • 친환경 지반개량공법인 EICP 처리를 통해 실내 및 현장 실험을 실시하여 미세먼지 억제 효율을 평가하였다. 실내 실험에서는 현장 적용성을 고려하여 저렴한 물질로 EICP 용액을 제작하였으며, EICP 용액의 최적 혼합비 및 처리량을 산정하였다. 용액의 최적 혼합비는 요소/염화칼슘의 비율이 1.5 및 백태가루 15g/L일 경우, 최적의 탄산칼슘 생성량을 보였다. EICP 용액 최적 처리량은 $7L/m^2$이며, 미세먼지 억제 실험 및 콘팁저항치 측정 실험을 통해 결정되었다. 현장 실험은 덤프트럭이 통행하는 test-bed에서 살수 실험 및 EICP 실험을 각각 실시하였으며, 현장의 상황에 따라 효율적인 미세먼지 억제법은 달라질 것으로 판단된다.

치과용(齒科用) 경석고(硬石膏) 의 표면경도(表面硬度) 강화(强化)에 관(關)한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究) (Experimental Studies on the Improving Surface Hardness of Dental Stone)

  • The purpose of this studies is to determine the surface hardness of dental stone and to investigate the methods which increase the surface hardness of dental stone using the dissolved solution of various synthetic resin, the obtained results of hardness value calculated Rockwell Hardness Number by means of Rockwell Hardness Tester. 1) In this experiment, 10% polystyrene dissolved in 100cc amylacetate is excellent solution which provides the surface hardness of dental stone after setting of specimen, and there is no effective way that stone specimen is immersed into polystyrene in amylacetate, polystyrene in benzene and polystyrene in butylacetate above 1 hour. 2) When the stone specimen is immersed into acrylic resin in benzene and melamin resin in amylacetate at least 1 hour to 3 hours, the hardening effect of stone surface is valuable. 3) The stone specimen immersing into urea resin in butylacetate, the surface hardness of the stone specimen decreased within 1 hour, but increased after 3 houre. 4) For the separating medium, the easyfoil is superior to the olive oil in the aspect of improving the hardening effect of the immersed specimen.

침전연소법에 의한 $Li_2$$ZrO_3$ 분말 합성 (Synthesis of $Li_2$$ZrO_3$ Powder by a Precipitation-Combustion Process)

  • $Li_2$$ZrO_3$ powder which is one of the candidates of breeding materials for the fusion reactor was syn-thesized by a precipitation-combustion process. Although precipitates from the reaction between zirconium nitrate and citric acid were existed in a precursor solution. $Li_2$$ZrO_3$ could easily be obtained by using the mixed fuel of urea and citric acid in stoichiometric composition. The phases of as-synthesized powder con-sisted of $Li_2$$ZrO_3$ and small amounts of $Li_6$$Zr_2O_3$ and $Li_2$$ZrO_3$ The latter phases disappeared after the cal-cination at $1100^{\circ}C$ for 2 h. The primary particle size and the specific surface area of as-synthesized powders were smaller than 20nm and 10-14 $M^2$/g, respectively. The primary particle size of the precipitation-combustion synthesized powders was affected by the size of precipitates present in a precursor solution.

DEXTRAN 용액의 유동학적 특성 (Rheological Characterization of Dextran Solution)

  • Some rheological properties of subfractions for dextran in the molecular weights range from $3{\times}10^4$ to $2{\times}10^6$ was investigated at room temperature. The dependence of the viscosity on concentration, shear rate, pH & ionic strength, temperature and solvent effect was observed. From the experimental data the Mark-Houwink viscosity equation in water at $25^{\circ}C$ was determined for samples having the molecular weight ranging from $3{\times}10^4$ to $2{\times}10^6$ as$[{\eta}]=3.1{\times}10^{-3}\;Mw^{0.39}(in\;dl/g)$. The intrinsic stiffness of the dextran backbone was estimated by evaluating the 'characteristic ratio' $C_{\infty}$, which is below the 0.082. In the concentrated region, the viscosity was decreased with increasing shear rate and was exponentially decreased with raising temperature, the viscosity showed the maximum value at neutral condition. From the experimental data, it was concluded that dextran chain, linked by the ${\alpha}-1$, 6-glucosidic linkage, behaves like a flexible random coil chain in aqueous solution, dextran solutions were pseudoplastic power law fluids among the empirical models of non-Newtonian behavior. Urea was an active reagent which increases the viscosity and swells dextran while pyrididine and glycerol were inactive reagents. Also, it could be estimated that the formation of gel structure is promote to the neutral state, the molecular weight larger than $2{\times}10^5$, when electrolytic concentration is IN and Ureas is use to solvent.

$Al_2O_3$로 피복시킨 세라믹 복합분체의 제조 및 특성: (III) $Al_2O_3-ZrO_2$ 복합분체 (Preparation and Characteristics of Ceramic Composite Powders Coated with $Al_2O_3$: (III) Composite Powders of $Al_2O_3-ZrO_2$)

  • The alumina-zirconia composite powders of core particle ZrO2 coated with Al2O3 were prepared by the hydrolysis-deposition of the mixed aluminum salt solution of Al2(SO4)3-Al(NO3)3-Urea. The effects of hydrolysis reaction and coating parameters on characteristics of coated powders and composites were also investigated. The degree of coating could be estimated from the ratio of tetra-/mono-ZrO2 present at the room temperature after heat-treating coated powders at 120$0^{\circ}C$ and the result of TEM observations. When the content of ZrO2 in the dispersed coating system, the coating time, and the volume ratio of water/solution were 50 mg/g, 180 min, and 5, respectively the coating efficiency was maximum (the ratio of tetra-/mono-ZrO2 was 87/13). The relative densities of coated Al2O3-ZrO2 composites sintered at 1$650^{\circ}C$ for 4 hrs were about 91~98% and the maximum ratio of tetra-/mono-ZrO2 in Al2O3-20wt% ZrO2 composites was 62/38.
