A special upper-air observation including airsonde and pibal observations was performed to investigate the characteristics features of the vertical distribution of the meteorological elements over Taegu on a selected clear day of each season from October 1991 to August 1992. The diurnal and seasonal variations of the vertical profiles of air temperature and mixing ratio were obtained from airsonde observations and wind speed and direction from pibal observations. The results of these special upper-air observations are as follow : The diurnal variation of the vertical distribution of air temperature reveals the characteristic features associated with the atmospheric boundary layer. All case days, except for the summer season, show upper-level inversion layer which influenced by surface high, and surface inversion layer produced by radiative cooling. The diurnal variation of mixing ratio shows the maximum vale at 1500 LST in both the upper and low levels, and is larger on the lower level than the upper level. The mixing ratio of the lower level is larger than that of the upper level. On the average the mixing ratio decrease with the height, and is the wettest on the summer case day and the driest on the winter case day. The diurnal variation of the wind velocity and direction are variable in the lower level with time and height, while they are steady in the upper level. On the average, the wind direction is southerly or southeasterly for the summer case day, westerly or northwesterly for the spring and fall case days, and northerly or northwesterly for the winter case day.

Bony anomaly caused by lip tie is not many reported yet. There was a case of upper lip tie wrapping into the anterior premaxilla. We represent a case of severe upper lip tie of limited lip motion, upper lips curling inside, and alveolar hypoplasia. Male patient was born on June 3, 2016. He had a deep philtral sulcus, low vermilion border and deep cupid's bow of upper lip due to tension of short, stout and very tight frenulum. His upper lip motion was severely restricted in particular lip eversion. There was anterior alveolar hypoplasia with deep sulcus in anterior maxilla. Resection of frenulum cord with Z-plasty was performed at anterior premaxilla and upper lip sulcus. Frenulum was tightly attached to gingiva through gum and into hard palate. Width of frenulum cord was about 1 cm, and length was about 3 cm. He gained upper lip contour including cupid's bow and normal vermilion border after the surgery. This case is severe upper lip tie showing the premaxillary hypoplasia, abnormal lip motion and contour for child. Although there is mild limitation of feeding with upper lip tie child, early detection and treatment are needed to correct bony growth.

Warfarin sodium is a widely used oral anticoagulant and it sometimes causes hemorrhage in various sites such as traumatic or operative wounds, urologic organs, gastrointesitnal tract and subcutaneous tissues. Warfarin induced hemorrhage in upper respiratory tract causing upper airway obstruction is extremely rare. Despite the life-threatening nature of this complication, the symptoms are obscure like sore throat or hoarseness, suggesting infection and early diagnosis can be delayed. Careful medical history is emphasized When bleeding is observed, the patient should be admitted for close observation and prompt treatment. Recently we have exrperienced a case of laryngeal and upper tracheal submucosal hemorrhage induced by long term warfarin in 64 years old mm. We described the case with a review of the literature.

The purpose of this case study is corrosive fall in Upper-Slope. Upper-slope of this slope affect in fall of the cut-slope because of wide valley. Deposit which is piled up naturally is the sinkage occurs gradually in upper-slope.

The objective of this research is to analyze the ventilation effectiveness in the non-isothermal air supply using mixing and displacement ventilation systems for indoor air quality control and management. In this study, a ventilation effectiveness is evaluated in a simplified model chamber using a tracer gas technique of $CO^2$ gas injected into a supply duct as a function of ventilation rates, supply/extract sites and cooling/heating air supply. The ventilation effectiveness decreased with increasing ventilation rate on the cooling and heating conditions. And the ventilation effectiveness of case 3 (down supply and upper extract) was better thant that of case 1(upper supply and upper extract) and case 2(upper supply and down extract) with the cooling supply conditions. but for the heating supply air conditions, the ventilation effectiveness of case 2 was better than that of case 3 and case 1.

The objective of this study is to solve a problem that is occurred during the spline machining of tubular shaft yoke in both side IMS module. In order to simulate the problem, the movement direction of upper die was set as standard case and error case. The material of tubular shaft yoke was set to S20C as refer to the analysis library. The movement directions of upper die were separated with standard case and error case. The error case was set to simulate the problem in the spline machining of tubular shaft yoke. In order to solve the problem, the outer radius of upper die were modelled from 9.40mm to 9.44mm. The simulation results were analyzed and compared in terms of effective stress, metal flow line and folding phenomena characteristics. In case of the outer radius of upper die was 9.42mm, it was observed a relatively uniform effective stress distribution and had a straight metal flow line.

We have experienced one case of hemoptysis which developed from both upper lung fields due to pulmonary aspergilloma combined with pulmonary tuberculosis. A 48 year old female patient was admitted with 10 years history of recurrent hemoptysis. Chest X-ray film revealed moderately advanced active pulmonary tuberculosis lesion on both upper lung fields, and cresentic radiolucent space between cavity wall and round radiopaque lesion on left upper lung field. Bronchial arteriogram showed hypervascularity and extravasation of contrast media in the right lung and it was treated by bronchial artery embolization. Hemoptysis recurred 7 months after embolization and repeat examination revealed greatly increased bronchial vasculature in the left upper lobe and therefore underwent left upper lobectomy. The pathologic result was compatible with aspergillosis, and the postoperative recovery was uneventful.

Plummer-Vinson syndrome is also termed Paterson-Brown-Kelly syndrome and sideropenic dysphagia, because it was described originally by Paterson and Kelly in 19`19 and it was often combined with iron-deficiency anemia. The syndrome is encountered most often in middle-aged anemic female. It is characterized by dysphagia referred to the upper esophagus, atrophy of the oral or pharyngeal mucous membranes, koilonychia, and stenosis or webs of the upper esophageal mucosa. And it is also related to the late occurrence of the carcinoma of the upper esophagus. Here is presented a case of upper esophageal web with dysphagia and iron-deficiency anemia with review of literature, which was treated by the surgical esophagoplasty to relieve the symptom of dysphagia and to widen the upper esophageal narrowing.

Purpose: Congenital sinus of the upper lip is extremely rare and only 3 cases have been reported domestically. We report a case of congenital sinus of midline upper lip, which was found in an adolescent patient. Methods: A 14-year-old girl presented with a small pit on midline of the upper lip, which was visible at birth. The patient had never been treated for the congenital sinus because it was asymptomatic. Surgical excision under local anesthesia was performed. Results: The sinus had a tract extending into 5 mm posteroinferior and had not penetrated the oral cavity. Histological examination showed a fistulous tract lined by keratinized squamous epithelium. After complete excision, there was no recurrence and we obtained a satisfactory cosmetic result. Conclusion: Congenital sinus of the midline upper lip is extremely rare. This is a special case that is reported because it did not cause symptoms for the patient until she reached adolescence.

This paper reports a case in a 16-year-old female of intrapulmonary teratoma located in the right upper and middle lobes of the lung. The initial symptoms were high spiking fever, cough and chest pain. Initial chest X-ray revealed large homogenous mass in the right upper and middle lung fields. So intercostal tube drainage was done under the impression of the lung abscess. But mass density was remained on the follow-up chest X-ray, the patient had resection of the right upper and middle lobes of the lung. The gross and microscopic findings of the resected specimen revealed characteristic findings of the intrapulmonary teratoma. The patient is asymtomatic at present and living a normal life.
