무인항공 변량방제 시스템의 살포 균일도 분석 (Uniformity Analysis of Unmanned Aerial Application with Variable Rate Spray System)

  • 본 연구에서는 변량방제기술을 적용한 농용 회전익기를 이용하여 살포한 입자의 구간비행 상태에서의 거리별 살포 패턴을 측정함으로써 무인 항공방제의 농약 부착률과 입자경의 분포 균일도를 평가하였다. 비행을 등속으로 유지하는 안내비행과 자동비행 모드에서 유효살포폭 3.6m로 인접비행 구간과 살포폭이 일부 중첩된 피복률에 대한 가로방향 분포의 변이계수는 30% 정도를 보였고, 비행방향 진로위치에 대한 피복률의 변이계수는 10% 미만으로 매우 균등한 것으로 평가되었다. 따라서 살포작업시 기체의 지면속도(ground speed)의 변이를 보상하는 변량살포기술은 균일도 측면에서 우수한 것으로 판명되었으며, 또한 입자경의 분포에 있어서 체적중위직경(VMD)과 개체중위직경(NMD) 모두 항공방제에 적절한 크기와 균일한 분포를 보였다. 따라서 농용 회전익기를 이용하여 소필지의 항공방제작업을 무인화 하는데 있어, 변량방제장치를 적용함으로써 소규모 필지의 균일 정밀방제를 도모하고자 하였다.

초미량 정밀살포용 무인헬리콥터의 SW05 로터 양력시험 (SW05 Rotor Lift of an Unmanned Helicopter for Precise ULV Aerial Application)

  • A small unmanned helicopter was suggested to replace the conventional spray system. Aerial application using an agricultural helicopter helps precise and timely spraying, and reduces labor intensity and environmental pollution. In this research, a rotor system (SW05) was developed and its lift capability was evaluated. Lift force for the dead weight of the helicopter was obtained at the grip pitch angle of $12^{\circ}$. As the pitch angle increased to $14^{\circ}$ and $16^{\circ}$, the payload increased to 176 N and 216 N, respectively. Compared with SW04 airfoil performance in the total lift, the SW05 airfoil showed nearly the same capacity, but the payload of the SW05 was reduced because of the increased dead weight. A rated flight condition was defined as lifting mean payload of 294 N with the grip pitch angles of $16{\sim}17^{\circ}$ at the rotor rotating speed of 850~950 rpm for the adjusted engine power. The fuel consumption would be 4.8~6.0 L/hr, and the air temperature of cooling fan should be kept below $160^{\circ}C$.

소형 무인헬기를 이용한 항공방제기술 (III) - 로터부의 양력시험 - (Aerial Application Using a Small RF Controlled Helicopter (III) - Lift Test of Rotor System -)

  • Aerial application using an unmanned agricultural helicopter can reduce labor and pollution. The development of an agricultural helicopter became urgent for both precise and timely spraying. In this study, a rotor system for unmanned helicopter capable of 20 $kg_f$ payload, was developed and lift capability was evaluated. A lift force over the dead weight of the helicopter was obtained at the pitch angle of $6^{\circ}$. As the pitch angle increased to $8^{\circ}\;and\;10^{\circ}$, the total lift increased to $74{\sim}81\;kg_f\;and\;86{\sim}93\;kg_f$, respectively. A range of engine speed at the rated flight condition, lifting mean payload of 23 $kg_f$ was determined. The data acquired from this study will be used for designing tail system and RF console in the next stage of the research. The rated lift capability was enough for loading 20 liters of spray material including spraying equipments.

드론을 활용한 산업단지 재난감시 및 모니터링 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Industrial Complex Disaster Surveillance and Monitoring System Using Drones)

  • 본 연구에서는 5G 네트워크용 UAV(: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)를 사용한 산업단지 내의 현장 상황을 실시간 감시하는 시스템에 대해 소개한다. UAV에 장착된 센서(화재, 유해가스 검출, 산업 재해형 인체 사고 감지)에서 모니터링 이벤트가 발생하면 센서의 주요 정보들이 UAS(: Unmanned Aerial System)애플리케이션 서버로 전달한다. 이러한 정보 전달 처리결과로, 산업단지공단의 관리자나 운영자는 사고 위험 상황별 트리거 처리를 통한 산업단지공단 내의 현장에서 인명사고와 화재, 그리고 유해 가스검출에 대한 법적인 근거 자료를 확보할 수 있게 되었다.

균일 방제를 위한 항공 살포시스템 구현 (Implementation of Aerial Application System for Application Uniformity)

  • 본 논문에서는 항공 방제 시 균일 방제를 통하여 병해충에 의한 농산물 생산량 저하 및 농약이 과도 살포된 농작물 생산을 방지하고자 하였다. 항공 방제가 실시되는 비행 고도 3m와 속도 15km/h를 유지하는 것은 사용자의 조종 습관 및 방법, 바람의 변화 같은 환경적 요인이 작용하여 대단히 어렵다. 따라서 무인 헬리콥터로부터 비행 데이터를 전송받아 비행속도 및 고도의 변화에 따라 붐의 각도와 DC 펌프의 제어가 가능하도록 살포 장치 및 제어기를 설계 및 제작하였고 무성항공사의 무인 헬리콥터 Rmax에 탑재하여 살포 성능을 검증했다. 실험은 가로 10m, 세로 50m의 농지에서 감수지를 한 열에 1.25m 간격으로 9장씩 5열을 5m의 위치에서부터 10m 간격으로 배치하고, 방제 실험 시 제작된 항공 살포 시스템을 이용하여 살포하였다. 무인 헬리콥터는 최저속도 7.2km/h부터 최고속도 17.6km/h, 최저높이 2.32m부터 최고 3.47m까지 최고 10.4km/h의 속도 변화와 1.15m 고도 변화를 보이며 비행하였고, 각 열이 평균 46423개의 입자개수의 분포로 7.5m의 유효 살포 영역을 형성함을 보여 제안된 항공 살포시스템이 균일 방제에 효과가 있음을 증명한다.

Improvement of Communication Reliability of Small UAV by a Tapered Stacked Antenna

  • This letter proposes a tapered stacked microstrip antenna for application in small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which has advantages in mountainous terrains. With its tapered structure and increased bandwidth designed to operate at the resonance frequency of 2.4 GHz, the proposed antenna improves directivity, accuracy, and precision of small UAVs. The test flight results show the proposed tapered antenna has a three times higher impedance capability of 350 MHz based on VSWR<2. The transmission pattern is also more reliable than that of previous antenna designs.

농용 무인헬리콥터의 원심클러치 설계 - 최적 설계치의 시뮬레이션 - (Centrifugal Clutch Design for Unmanned Helicopter - Simulation of Optimal Factors -)

  • Aerial application using an agricultural unmanned helicopter was suggested for an alternative against current pesticide application methods. Centrifugal clutches play important roles in the performance and safety of the helicopter operation. A previous study analyzed and verified the power transfer theory of the guide type centrifugal clutch. Based on the clutch theory, optimal designs of the clutch became possible and feasible using a simulation method. Design criteria of the clutch were the power transfer capacity of 24.66 kW(33.5 PS) at the rated engine speed and the engaging range speed of 3,000${\sim}$3,500 rpm. Various designs were accomplished using the simulation. An optimal clutch was simulated by determining the values of spring constant and mass of friction sector, which were 94,700 N/m and 123.7 g, respectively. The design performed the power capacity of 24.86 kW(33.8 PS) and engagement speed of 3,069 rpm, meeting the design criteria. Using the designed clutch, an efficient transfer of the power would be possible for the unmanned agricultural helicopter.

물류수송을 위한 이종 협업 무인 시스템 개발 (Development of a Cooperative Heterogeneous Unmanned System for Delivery Services)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel concept foran unmanned delivery service using a cooperative heterogeneous unmanned system consisting of a self-driving car and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The proposed concept is suitable to deliver parcels in high-density and high-rise urban or residential areas. In order to achieve the proposed concept, we will develop acooperative heterogeneous unmanned system. Customers can order goods using a smartphone application and the order information, including the position of the customer and the order time, and the package is transported automatically by the unmanned systems. The system assigns the tasks suitable for each unmanned vehicle by analyzing it based on map information. Performance is validated by experiments consisting of autonomous driving and flight tests in a real environment. For more evaluation, the landing position error analysis is performed using circular error probability (CEP).

BIM 적용을 위한 공간정보의 정확도 기반 활용성 평가 (Accuracy-based Evaluation of the Utilization of Spatial Information for BIM Application)

  • Recently, spatial information has been applied to various fields and its usability is increasing day by day. In particular, in the field of civil engineering and construction, BIM based on spatial information is being applied to all construction industries and related research has been conducted. BIM is a technology that utilizes spatial information from the design phase and aids in the construction and maintenance of buildings, including the management of their attributes. However, to apply BIM technology to existing buildings, it takes a lot of time and money to produce models based on design drawings along with current surveying. In this study, quantitative and qualitative analysis was conducted to determine the applicability of the acquired data and the applicability of BIM by generating data and analyzing the accuracy using UAV images and ground lidar, which are representative spatial information acquisition methods. Quantitative analysis revealed that TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanner) showed reliable accuracy in both planar and elevation measurements, whereas unmanned aerial images exhibited lower accuracy in elevation measurements, resulting in reduced reliability. Qualitative analysis indicated that neither TLS nor unmanned aerial images alone provided perfect completeness. However, the combination of both spatial information sources, tailored to specific needs, resulted in the most comprehensive completeness. Therefore, it is concluded that the appropriate utilization of spatial information acquired through unmanned aerial images and TLS holds the potential for application in the fields of BIM and reverse engineering.

연근해 양식장 주변 적조 모니터링을 위한 무인항공영상 적용 연구 (Application of unmanned aerial image application red tide monitoring on the aquaculture fields in the coastal waters of the South Sea, Korea)

  • 매년 여름 우리나라 양식업에 피해를 입히는 적조를 탐지하기 위한 연구는 대부분 인공위성을 이용하였으나 양식장에 대한 정보는 인공위성으로 산출하기에는 한계를 가진다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 무인항공기를 이용한 연안촬영과 그 산출물을 이용하여 적조를 탐지하는 기법을 제시하였다. 그 결과 높은 해상도를 가진 무인항공영상을 획득 할 수 있었으며 색상을 이용한 무감독 분류와 가시광영역의 세 가지 분광밴드를 이용한 단순 알고리즘을 이용하여 적조를 탐지하였다. 기존의 천연색 영상에 비하여 시각적으로 명확한 해수색의 구분이 가능하였으며 적조의 해수면 분포를 확인할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 방법은 양식장이 설치되어 있는 연안에서 더욱 정확한 적조의 분포 상황을 모니터링 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
