The purpose of this study is to present the current status and implications of companies in relation to the nature of CSR based on the theoretical background of corporate social responsibility (CSR). For consumers using mobile phones from Samsung, LG, and Apple, the impact of CSR components on corporate image, customer satisfaction, and customer citizenship behavior was analyzed. Economic responsibility, ethical responsibility, and philanthropic responsibility all have positive effects on corporate image. However, it was found that legal responsibility did not pay attention to the corporate image. And the corporate image was found to have a positive (+) effect on customer satisfaction and customer citizenship behavior. The results of this study suggest that companies need to devise a systematic CSR education system for their stakeholders.
In this study we postulated that the trust plays an essential mediating role in the relationship between the corporate social responsibility activities and corporate evaluation and product evaluation. In addition, we examined the perception difference to the Korean-Chinese consumers in these relations. A model integrating four types of CSR activities(economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic), three dimensions of trust(integrity trust, expertise trust, social benevolence trust), and the corporate evaluation, product evaluation was tested using data of 400 consumers. The results of the data analysis showed that the economic responsibility and ethical responsibility had a significant influence on the integrity trust, expertise trust and benevolence trust in the case of the Korean consumers. But, in the Chinese consumers, the economic responsibility positively influenced on the expertise trust and benevolence trust. The legal esponsibility had a significant impact on the integrity trust and benevolence trust in the case of both Korean consumers and Chinese consumers. Also, ethical responsibility positively influenced on the integrity trust and benevolence trust in the case of Chinese consumers. Finally, philanthropic responsibility had not significant influence on the expertise trust in case of both Korean consumers and Chinese consumers. The results of this study will help corporations to understand the relative importance among the four responsibilities and to make decisions in allocating their resources.
This paper is focused on analyzing the social environment of a rapidly changing on Vietnamese company. The key analysis of this study is on the change of perception in Vietnam and the regional difference of CSR acception. The social acceptance research of CSR is centered on the comparative analysis of Korean, Japanese and Chinese companies Social Activities in Vietnam. In addition, This paper seek to way of contribute to the sustainable development of Korean companies, and its harmonious cooperation with Vietnamese society through reviewing the CSR activities and direction of their CSR expectation. In the paper, linkage analysis was conducted with the results of the study on CSR value development process in Vietnam society and analysis of social responsibility values obtained from empirical studies. Through this, finally, we trying to search the value of social responsibility in Vietnam and its future directions. When we understand Vietnam's CSR, based on 'locality' of Vietnam, Northern and Southern can be understand on its different backgrounds. And it can be analyzed by their CSR characteristics of acception. As the result of this research, In the North, Foreign companies' CSR is understanded to be viewed from the corporate economic income and distribution. In the South, there is a strong tendency to understand CSR activities of foreign companies as marketing activities. On the whole, In northern Hanoi, there was a strong expectation in terms of 'employment improvement' and 'workers' working conditions'. In the South, there was a greater interest in improving the 'quality of life of residents' and 'consumer protection'. This is due to the influence of the economic system experienced during the process of different colonization, modernization and communization between the two regions. Since the Reform and Opening of Vietnam, Social Awareness of CSR seems that the regional differences were formed by the pace of economic development and the economic environment has played a role. In particular, the social acceptance of CSR values showed a slight difference in recognition between the North and South regions, but as both regions showed common hope for 'intervention in the role of government'. Therefore, Social Awareness of Vietnam's CSR is based on relation of 'government-society' formed from the 'Communitarianism'. As foreign investment flows more, CSR awareness and expectations in Vietnam's society will increase further. And the CSR expectations of local governments and stakeholder will be more complicated. It is time to check the needs of Vietnamese society in relation to locality of the social responsibility activities.

This study was conducted in order to assess the effect of variables influencing Korean baby-boomers' welfare consciousness. For this purpose, data from the $8^{th}$ supplementary survey of the Korea Welfare Panel in 2013 were analyzed. The subjects of analysis were 2,035 people who were born between 1955 and 1965 whose welfare panel data did not have missing values for the variables of the research model. According to the results of analysis, first, when the descriptive statistics of the major variables were analyzed, those showing a relatively high mean score among the sub-factors of the baby-boomers' welfare consciousness were 'expansion of expenditure for public assistance' (mean 3.65, SD .557), 'expansion of expenditure for social insurance' (mean 3.53, SD .646), and 'expansion of expenditure for social services' (mean 3.26, SD .424). The mean score of the baby-boomers' overall welfare consciousness was relatively high as 3.45 (SD .428), advocating the expansion of welfare expenditure. Second, the independent variables influencing the baby-boomers' welfare consciousness was found to have explanatory power of 12.9%. In the results of regression analysis, variables found to have a significant effect were gender (B=.100, t=2.573, p<.01), personal responsibility for poverty (B=-.151, t=-3.635, p<.01), social responsibility for poverty (B=.149, t=3.437, p<.001), and recipient's laziness (B=.251, t=6.578, p<.001). Based on these results were discussed major relevant policies.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate how well the 2020 vision presented by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea(ABEEK) had been achieved, and to objectively examine the social status. It was very necessary for the development of engineering education in Korea to provide room for improvement by diagnosing how well the ABEEK, one of the major engineering education communities, was achieving its own vision. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, research methods such as literature review, survey research, and expert advisory committee were used. To evaluate the level of achievement of the Vision 2020 of the ABEEK, the analysis was based on the response results of 61 people who had experience as a member of the steering committe. In addition, the vision and mission of the 23 countries that are currently signatory members of the Washington Accord were surveyed, and the social responsibility and financial independence of the 20 countries that joined the signatory member countries before 2020 were compared with each other. As a result of the analysis, the item of securing international equivalence in engineering education received the most positive evaluation, and the social compensation efforts for accreditied graduates received the least evaluation. The ABEEK was evaluated as having a medium level of social responsibility and a low level of financial independence. Based on the results of this research, we proposed ways the ABEEK to contribute to the improvement of Korean engineering education.

As consumers' demand for corporate social responsibility (CSR) has increased, luxury fashion brands have been providing support for arts and culture as CSR activities. The purpose of this study is to examine patronage of arts and culture as corporate philanthropy and to analyze the motives luxury fashion brands have for supporting arts and culture. The study investigates patronage of arts and culture through literature reviews and conducts case studies of luxury fashion brands' patronage. The results of the analysis are as follows: first, patronage based on public interest reduces the social costs of arts and culture and helps to create aesthetic experiences for the public; second, sustainable patronage is not only priceless PR for luxury fashion brands, it also supports the development of arts and culture; third, authentic patronage obviates the criticism that luxury fashion brands only support arts and culture for the purposes of profit, by separating business operations from patronage. In conclusion, those three elements are at the heart of patronage for the arts and culture and fashion companies need to support culture and the arts by taking a long-term perspective when it comes to creating social value.

This paper provides an effective stock portfolio screening tool for socially responsible investment (SRI) based upon corporate social responsibility (CSR) and financial performance. The proposed approach utilizes nonparametric frontier models. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) has been used to build SRI portfolios in a few previous works; however, we show that free disposal hull (FDH), a similar model that does not assume the convexity of the technology, yields superior results when applied to a stock universe of 253 Korean companies. Over a four-year time span (from 2006 to 2009) the portfolios selected by the proposed method consistently outperform those selected by DEA as well as the benchmark.
Purpose - Previous studies have not paid attention to global self-corporate brand congruity and affective approach from the viewpoint of global self. This study explored an inducement of gratitude that, under the circumstance of corporate association, consumers feel toward corporate's responsible activities, pride related to corporate's ability, and global self congruity. Current researches also have examined positive behavior effects of global self-corporate brand congruity and the feelings on corporate products. Research design, data, and methodology - This research theoretically reviewed that corporate ability and social responsibility association would influence global self-corporate brand congruity, that corporate ability association could induce consumers' sense of pride, and that social responsibility association might induce gratitude. This study, furthermore, examined theoretically whether global self-corporate brand congruity, pride and gratitude could make consumers behave positively toward corporate products, and developed hypotheses. For the empirical analysis with the questionnaires, 231 employees and common people completed the questionnaires, and structural equation model of AMOS 18.0 was used. Results - From the empirical analysis, the outcomes are as followings. First, corporate ability association makes consumers feel proud. Second, corporate social responsible association makes consumers feel grateful. Third, both corporate ability association and social responsibility association let consumers be aware of global self-corporate brand congruity. Fourth, being conscious of each of pride, gratitude and global self-corporate brand congruity prompts consumers to behave positively toward corporate products. Fifth, mediation effects of pride and the congruity in the roles of corporate ability association on the positive behavior, and those of gratitude and the congruity in the roles of corporate social responsible association on the positive behavior are identified. Conclusions - Based on the results, it can be said that a marketing manager should endeavor to make consumers associate the corporate ability and social responsibility. However, the degree of consumers' feelings such as pride and gratitude can differ according to their cultural backgrounds. It is, therefore, needed to be explored by the types of feelings that can be caused more from the difference in cultural backgrounds by corporate association, and to be investigated differently and positively with behavioral effects on the corporate's products between the types.
In general, commercial franchisors prefer franchisees with high entrepreneurship and business capability. However, these entrepreneurial franchisees with high capability tend to depend less on franchisors. Although franchisees with less entrepreneurship and low capability need intensive care from franchisors, some of them result in business failure due to improper supports from incapable franchisors. This paper suggests several propositions regarding social franchising's role in supporting the low-income urban people on the premise that social franchising or micro-franchising provides implications for franchisor strategic orientations for franchisees with little capital. Through literature review about social franchising and micro franchising, some implications are drawn. Many social enterprises use franchising to get growth and sustainability, because franchising allow social enterprise to expand its scale and to achieve economies of scale despite of its non-commercial and social purpose. And continuous support and training undertake the most important role to achieve its social purpose. In commercial franchising, especially small business format franchising sector, franchisor have to consider not only commercial purpose but also social responsibility because of low capability and less entrepreneurship of franchisee. If franchisor pursue only own profit, this can increase the conflict and franchise system failure. So far many franchisors are concerned with own profit and external growth. But it is necessary to consider symbiotic relationship, social responsibility and sustainability more for the sake of desirable industrial growth in the future.
Although Japan, Korea, and Taiwan are all East Asian countries, there are marked differences in the recycling policies, motivations, and methodologies of each country. One reflection of differences is the approaches each country has taken toward the OECD proposal for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). I consider the relationship of local governments and producers for Japan, Korea, and Taiwan from the perspective of EPR. First, I provide an outline of the establishment of waste home appliances (WHA) recycling systems. And then, consider the responsibility of related subjects. Lastly, I prepare the differences of EFR concept of each country.
