응급실 간호사의 직무 스트레스, 피로, 직무 만족 및 조직 몰입 (Job Stress, Fatigue, Job Satisfaction and Commitment to Organization in Emergency Department Nurses)

  • Purpose: This research was done to identify relationships among job stress, fatigue, job satisfaction, and commitment to organization in emergency department nurses. Methods: Research participants were 513 nurses who worked in the emergency department of 17 tertiary centers and 28 secondary hospitals. Data collection for this descriptive correlational study was done from May to July 2010 using self report questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient with the SAS 9.2 program. Results: There were statistically significant differences in organizational commitment according to age, religion, total clinical experience, emergency department experience, current position, frequency of night shift, average sleep hours, wage level, numbers of beds in unit, and reason for working. A positive correlation was found between job stress and fatigue, and between job satisfaction and commitment to organization for the emergency department nurses and a negative correlation between job stress and Job satisfaction, and fatigue and Job satisfaction. Conclusion: Results of this research indicate that job stress in emergency department nurses was the principal variable affecting job satisfaction and commitment to organization along with fatigue. Appropriate stress management strategies based on identification of job stress for these nurses should lead to development of improved management of nursing manpower and a reduction in stress.

초등 교사의 과학 교육 과정의 구성에 대한 인식과 과학의 본성에 대한 관점과의 상관 (The Relation of Elementary School Teachers' Point of Views about the Organization of Science Curriculum and the Nature of Science)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between elementary school teachers' points of view about the organization of the science curriculum and their views on the nature of science (NOS). We surveyed 132 elementary school teachers' view points about these two kinds of views, analyzed the data by their variables, and compared the two viewpoints with their personal details. The elementary school teachers thought the science curriculum should be emphasized through the process more than contents. They thought the contents of the science curriculum should be integrated rather than separated. As teachers' career progressed, they focused on the contents more than the process. On the other hands, because elementary school teachers showed the NOS views as relativism, deductivism, decontextualism, content, and instrumentalism, when we plotted sub-viewpoints of NOS in process-content dimension, we thought it would be similar distributions with point of views on the organization of science curriculum. However, there was no meaningful relation. This showed that teachers' views on the organization of the curriculum and the NOS are totally different. These findings suggest further research is needed to find how factors influence elementary school teachers' views on the organization of the science curriculum and what inclinations can occur in science classes with their different views.

간호사의 MBTI 성격유형과 학습조직화와의 관계 (A Study on MBTI Personality Type and Learning Organization)

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate the degree and pattern of learning organization and MBTI personality type in clinical nurses. Methods: The participants were 685 nurses working in the 8 general hospitals located in Seoul and Incheon. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaires from April 1 to August 30, 2004. The data were analyzed using SAS program for descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: The most frequent identified personality type was ISTJ and the least identified personal types was ENFJ. In 4 preference patterns, Extroversion, Sensing, Thinking and Judgement were identified a dominant index in each categories. The mean score of learning organization was 3.47 and the mental model was got the highest score. The EI index had a significant positive correlation with personal mastery. However the TF index had a negative correlation with personal mastery, systems thinking, and mental models, and also the JP index had a negative correlation with 5 learning organization sub categories. Conclusion: With these results, it was identified that the preference patterns on MBTI had the significant correlation with learning organization. So these results will be used to develop the more effective strategies to increase learning organization based on nurse's personality types.

조직공정성이 기업성과에 미치는 영향 (A Study on The Effect Corporate Performance of Organization Justice)

  • 기업의 구성원들은 개인이 가지고 있는 기술, 지식, 능력 등을 조직에 제공하고 이에 대한 대가를 조직에게서 부여받는 방식으로 관계를 지속한다. 이러한 기업에게서 받는 대가는 임금 등의 금전적인 보상과 명예, 복리후생 등의 비금전적인 보상 등을 받게 된다. 이러한 서로의 상호작용 속에서 기업 조직의 구성원들은 공정성 문제를 항상 생각하게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 조직공정성이 기업성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 살펴보고자 한다. 연구 결과 조직공정성은 직무만족, 조직몰입에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 매출액증가에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 기업은 현재의 자원을 효율적으로 이용하는 활용(exploitation)활동과 새로운 기회를 포착하는 탐색(exploration)활동을 동시에 수행하여야 한다. 이렇게 반대되는 두 가지 속성인 활용과 탐색 활동을 동시에 수행하는 기업을 '조직의 양면성' 또는 '조직의 양손잡이 역량'(Organizational ambidexterity)이 있다고 하며, 이러한 기업을 양손잡이 조직(Ambidextrous organization)이라고 부른다. 본 연구에서는 기업가적 지향성의 핵심 요소들이 양손잡이 전략을 사용하는 기업들의 기업성과에 영향을 미치는 지에 대해 살펴보고, 더불어 환경적 동태성의 조절 효과에 대하여 실증 분석하였다. 연구 결과 기업은 기업가적 지향성이 양손잡이 조직에서 뚜렷한 기업성과에 유의미한 영향이 있다고 나타났다. 또한 환경적 동태성의 조절효과는 기업가적 지향성과 조직의 양손잡이 역랑과의 관계에 있어 조절효과가 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 벤처기업 및 스타트업을 포함한 중소기업이 성장을 위한 전략적 방향을 설정하는데 있어 현실적인 시사점을 제시해 줄 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 중소기업의 양손잡이 역량과 기업성과간의 관계에 관한 연구에 유의미한 영향을 미칠 수 있는 변수들을 소개하고 영향관계를 분석함으로써 학술적인 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

정상아동의 정적 균형과 감각통합의 발달 (Developmental Changes of Static Standing Balance and Sensory Organization in Children)

  • Multi-sensory systems, including the visual, somatosensory, and vestibular ones, are involved in maintaining standing balance. The organization of these sensory systems is as important as the efficiency of each individual system in maintaining optimal balance. The purpose of the present experiment was to investigate the developmental changes in static standing balance and sensory organization under altered sensory conditions. This study involved 64 children (from 4 to 15 years of age) and 17 young adults. The children were divided into four age groups: 4~6, 7~9, 10~12, and 13~15 years. Static standing balance was assessed with the one-leg standing test under four different sensory conditions: the children stood on a firm surface with (1) eyes open or (2) closed, and they stood on a foam surface with eyes (3) open or (4) closed. In balancing ability, the age groups exhibited significant differences. The function of sensory organization for balance control was poorer for the children than for the young adults. The functional efficiency of the somatosensory system of the children aged 7~9 years was at the young adults' level, and the visual function of the children aged 10~12 years had also reached the young adults' level. However, the functional efficiency of the vestibular system of children was significantly lower than that of the young adults, even at the age of 15 years. This may indicate that sensory organization and standing balance are still developing after the age of 15 years.

  • Maintaining the permanence of a company in the current rapidly changing business environment is not an easy task. Rather, the lifespan of a company can be said to be gradually decreasing. As such, the author of this paper, which describes the current market environment, is the sales organization of a large company. While leading the company, I thought about how to overcome the rapidly changing market and create an organization that continues to grow. As a result, I succeeded in creating an organization that continued to grow over the past two years, and the main activity of this result was the use of sales computer. It was clear that it was an information sharing activity. This can be said to be a result of proving that a series of activities to create and share information is important for the sales organization of ICT companies to actively respond to the rapidly changing market environment. Therefore, this study attempted to examine the relationship between knowledge management and business performance in the sales field of ICT companies, which has not been covered so far. Knowledge management is a four-stage activity from a process perspective, divided into knowledge creation, knowledge storage, knowledge transfer, and knowledge utilization. did. As a result of the study, first, knowledge management activities, such as knowledge creation and knowledge storage, were found to have a significant impact on financial performance. Second, knowledge management activities such as knowledge creation, knowledge storage, knowledge transfer, and knowledge utilization were all found to have an impact on non-financial performance. In the end, this study confirmed that efforts to turn tacit knowledge into knowledge in order to respond to the ever-changing ICT market are ultimately an important factor in growing a company.

The feasibility of percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder aspiration for acute cholecystitis after self-expandable metallic stent placement for malignant biliary obstruction: a 10-year retrospective analysis in a single center

  • Background/Aims: Patients with acute cholecystitis (AC) after metallic stent (MS) placement for malignant biliary obstruction (MBO) have a high surgical risk. We performed percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder aspiration (PTGBA) as the first treatment for AC. We aimed to identify the risk factors for AC after MS placement and the poor response factors of PTGBA. Methods: We enrolled 401 patients who underwent MS placement for MBO between April 2011 and March 2020. The incidence of AC was 10.7%. Of these 43 patients, 37 underwent PTGBA as the first treatment. The patients' responses to PTGBA were divided into good and poor response groups. Results: There were 20 patients in good response group and 17 patients in poor response group. Risk factors for cholecystitis after MS placement included cystic duct obstruction (p<0.001) and covered MS (p<0.001). Cystic duct obstruction (p=0.003) and uncovered MS (p=0.011) demonstrated significantly poor responses to PTGBA. Cystic duct obstruction is a risk factor for cholecystitis and poor response factor for PTGBA, whereas covered MS is a risk factor for cholecystitis and an uncovered MS is a poor response factor of PTGBA for cholecystitis. Conclusions: The onset and poor response factors of AC after MS placement were different between covered and uncovered MS. PTGBA can be a viable option for AC after MS placement, especially in patients with covered MS.

Stakeholders Driven Requirements Engineering Approach for Data Warehouse Development

  • Most of the data warehouse (DW) requirements engineering approaches have not distinguished the early requirements engineering phase from the late requirements engineering phase. There are very few approaches seen in the literature that explicitly model the early & late requirements for a DW. In this paper, we propose an AGDI (Agent-Goal-Decision-Information) model to support the early and late requirements for the development of DWs. Here, the notion of agent refers to the stakeholders of the organization and the dependency among agents refers to the dependencies among stakeholders for fulfilling their organizational goals. The proposed AGDI model also supports three interrelated modeling activities namely, organization modeling, decision modeling and information modeling. Here, early requirements are modeled by performing organization modeling and decision modeling activities, whereas late requirements are modeled by performing information modeling activities. The proposed approach has been illustrated to capture the early and late requirements for the development of a university data warehouse exemplifying our model's ability of supporting its decisional goals by providing decisional information.

Somatodendritic organization of pacemaker activity in midbrain dopamine neurons

  • The slow and regular pacemaking activity of midbrain dopamine (DA) neurons requires proper spatial organization of the excitable elements between the soma and dendritic compartments, but the somatodendritic organization is not clear. Here, we show that the dynamic interaction between the soma and multiple proximal dendritic compartments (PDCs) generates the slow pacemaking activity in DA neurons. In multipolar DA neurons, spontaneous action potentials (sAPs) consistently originate from the axon-bearing dendrite. However, when the axon initial segment was disabled, sAPs emerge randomly from various primary PDCs, indicating that multiple PDCs drive pacemaking. Ca2+ measurements and local stimulation/perturbation experiments suggest that the soma serves as a stably-oscillating inertial compartment, while multiple PDCs exhibit stochastic fluctuations and high excitability. Despite the stochastic and excitable nature of PDCs, their activities are balanced by the large centrally-connected inertial soma, resulting in the slow synchronized pacemaking rhythm. Furthermore, our electrophysiological experiments indicate that the soma and PDCs, with distinct characteristics, play different roles in glutamate-induced burst-pause firing patterns. Excitable PDCs mediate excitatory burst responses to glutamate, while the large inertial soma determines inhibitory pause responses to glutamate. Therefore, we could conclude that this somatodendritic organization serves as a common foundation for both pacemaker activity and evoked firing patterns in midbrain DA neurons.
