우리나라 2009 개정 초등 과학교육과정과 핀란드 초등 과학교육과정 비교분석 (Comparison and Analysis of the 2009 Elementary Science Curriculum of South Korea and the Elementary Science Curriculum of Finland)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the elementary science curriculum of Finland, which ranked at the first place in the science domain of Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), a comparative study on the academic achievements of OECD member nations, for three consecutive years and recorded a high national competitiveness index, and that of South Korea, thus providing information needed to develop curriculums and textbooks in the middle of occasional curriculum revisions and giving useful implications for the implementation of curriculum in the field of education in South Korea. The research findings were as follows: First, as for the science content areas based on the ratio of large area items according to the evaluation and analysis framework of TIMSS 2007, South Korea's ratio of life, chemistry, physics, and earth hardly showed fitness for TIMSS 2007 and exhibited equal distribution among the areas. In Finland, the ratio of life, chemistry, physical, and earth was similar to the fourth grade level of TIMSS 2007. The country showed differential distribution with life accounting for the highest percentage. Second, as for the cognitive domains, South Korea showed a high percentage in "Uses and Procedures of Tools" of "1. Knowing" and "Making Connections," "Comparison/Contrast/Classification," and "Uses of Models" of "2. Application." Finland recorded a high percentage in "Information Interpretation" of "2. Application." While South Korea focused on the uses and methods of scientific instruments during scientific activities, Finland made an approach with a focus on problems related to daily life such as the interpretation of information including reports and graphs from an interpretative perspective.

SCA Advice System: Ontology Framework for a Computer Curricula Advice System Based on Student Behavior

  • This study proposed an SCA advice system. It is an ontology-based recommender that provides advice on appropriate computer curricula based on the behavior of high school students. The three computer curricula at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University include computer science (CS), information technology (IT), and web programming and security (WEB). This study aims to design the ontology framework for an SCA advice system. The system considers three core ontologies: student, computer-curriculum, and advice. After analyzing student behaviors, the behavior types of CS, IT, and WEB were determined to be SB-2, SB-1, and SB-5, respectively. All subjects in these three curricula were analyzed and grouped into seven groups. Their curricula were synthesized in terms of basic skills, basic knowledge, and characteristics. Finally, advice results can be obtained by consolidating the curriculum nature of the CS, IT, and WEB curricula.

제 6차 중학교 과학 교육과정과 그 운영에 대한 조사 연구 (A Study on the 6th Middle School Science Curriculum and Its Implementation)

  • 전국의 112개 중학교의 213명의 과학 교사들과 43명의 사범대학 교수들의 평정과 자기 보고를 토대로 제 6차 중학교 과학 교육과정과 그 운영에 대해 조사하였다. 조사 문항들은 과학 교육과정의 네 단계와 조사 항목별로 분류되었다. 제 6차 중학교 과학 교육과정의 계획 단계에서 제 6차 중학교 교육과정의 '목표'와 '내용 체계 내용'은 탐구 활동의 강화라는 개정 방침에 비추어 적절하였다. 그러나, 학습 분량은 적정화되지 못하였고, 방법은 제대로 실현되기 어려웠다. 문서화 단계에서 '목표', '내용 체계','내용', '방법', '평가'는 중학교 과학을 지도하는 데 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있다고 보기 어려웠다. 시행 단계에서, 중학교 과학 교사들은 지역 사회 문제를 소재로 활용하지 못하였으며, 학습 집단 조직의 다양화, 평가 도구의 공동 개발, 학생들의 개인차를 고려한 수업 및 프로그램의 운영을 실천하지 못하였다. 이에는 학습 분량의 과다, 자료의 미비, 지원의 부족 등이 원인이 되었다. 마지막으로 제 6차 중학교 과학 교육과정의 실현 단계에서, 제 6차 교육과정에 따라 학습한 학생들은 그 이전의 학생들과 비교하여 상대적으로 높은 성취를 보이지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이 논문은 1996년 한국과학재단 국제공동연구비 (966-1300-001-2) 지원에 의해 수행된 연구 결과 일부이다.

숙의를 통한 비판과학 관점의 통합 지향적 가정교과 교육과정 개발 (Integrative Home Economics Curriculum Development from a Critical Science Perspective through Deliberation)

  • This study developed an integrative curriculum design plan for Home Economics through a deliberation method. This study established a research framework to integrate the deliberation models of Schwab, Walker, and Reid that inherited the intellectual tradition of curriculum deliberation along with the practical reasoning process of Brown and Paolucci from a critical science perspective. The practical research problem was formulated as "What should be done to develop a Home Economics integrative curriculum?" To address this practical research problem, deliberation with deliberators of each small, medium, and large groups was processed for the development of integrative curriculum design plans. An initial proposal was developed from small group deliberation processes. An initial proposal was examined and an alternative plan was developed from medium group deliberation processes. An alternative plan and its consequence were re-examined from large group deliberation processes. The authors finalized a proposal organized on four valued ends of self-formation, intersubjectivity, social action, and life skills. A practical problem focused integrative curriculum was developed and proposed to pursue the four valued ends. The suggested final practical problem focused curriculum demonstrates the power of Home Economics to contribute to the advancement of individuals, families, and society as well as the practical empowerment of students.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to understand the current status of MIS curriculum and to find ways to improve it. In addition, the results of the research can be used as basic data for improving MIS curriculum. Design/methodology/approach A research framework was designed to derive research results using the keyword network analysis method of this study: 1) Keywords were extracted based on the six units of the big data analysis job competency. 2) And based on the extracted keywords, the relationship between the keywords and MIS curriculum for each university was identified. Findings In the MIS curriculum information of a few universities, education related to big data analysis was conducted. 1) In the MIS curriculum of a few universities, education related to big data analysis was conducted. However, MIS curriculum of the university, which is the subject of analysis, education focused on concepts and theory rather than practical education was conducted. 2) And it was confirmed that there is a difference from the education required by the industry.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 수학과 교육과정이 나아가야할 변화의 방향을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 우리나라의 2009, 2015 개정 수학과 교육과정과 일본의 2008, 2017 수학과 교육과정을 대상으로 초, 중, 고등학교급 전반에 걸쳐 직전 교육과정과의 변화를 살피고, 그 변화를 양국 간 비교하였다. 비교결과를 토대로 세 가지의 시사점을 제안하였다.

건강증진 중심의 학부 교과과정에 관한 평가연구 (Study for Curriculum Evaluation of the College of Nursing, Seoul National University: Focusing on the Health Promotion)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the revised curriculum of the college of nursing, Seoul National University. This curriculum was consisted of three conceptual framework: health promotion, illness care and professional development. Especially it is intended to enhance the ability in solving health problem by focusing on the topic of health promotion. Further, the curriculum is strengthening on the professional development through encouraging scholarly inquiry of students. The result of survey was as follows: 1) Is the curriculum focusing on the health promotion generally? - 81.2% of graduates answered positively. 2) Is the curriculum reflecting on the six aims of the education for the college if nursing? - 64.6% of graduates answered positively. 3) Is the curriculum reflecting on the concept of health promotion properly? - 72.8% of faculty answered positively. 4) Did the curriculum achieve the six aims of college of nursing effectively? - 82.6% of faculty answered positively. 5) Was the lecture of each subject in the new curriculum given with focus on the concept of health promotion? - 60.9 % answered affirmatively 6) Did the optional subjects achieve the goal of professional development effectively? - 83% of faculty answered affirmatively.

  • The study was conducted to develop the Practical STEAM education Model. To achieve the goal, we did analysis advanced research, comprehensive review of literature, consultation with research team. As a result, the Practical STEAM education Model is consisted as follow; integrated subjects, object, value and aim, curriculum(method, assessment). The result has defined the concept and theoretical framework of STEAM education curriculum as application aspects, it would help to develop the program with STEAM education curriculum. Later in this study is to develop programs and organize. and It intends to become the base to be able to interest and interest in science education by structured around the status of problems that can be found in the life of around themes STEAM.

  • To respond to the announcement of the revised version of science curriculum early this year, it has been necessary to develop new science textbooks which can be appropriate and effective to achieve the goals of the revised curriculum. The system of new textbooks needs to embrace the concerns of cognitive development in scientific knowledge, skills, and attitudes as well as social and cultural demands in the rapidly changing society. To develop an innovative framework of science textbooks, we examined previous studies on textbook analysis in Korea and analyzed science textbooks in the United States, Singapore, and Japan. We analyzed various ways of introducing and developing conceptual knowledge, leading scientific inquiry skills and process, enhancing scientific attitudes toward science, technology, society and the environment in those science textbooks. In the process of framing the structures of textbooks, we focused on ways of increasing educational effects of visualized texts, leaners' interest, user-friendly procedure, scientific inquiry, effectiveness of hands-on activities, scientific reading and writing skills, and usage of workbook. Based on those aspects and analyses of textbooks, we attempted to propose a feasible framework of Grade $3{\sim}4$ Science textbook which can effectively respond to the educational changes and demands in the local and global society.

융합인재교육 이론모형 틀에 기반을 둔 통합의료인문학 교육과정 이론모형의 제안 (The Development of a Theoretical Model of Integrated Medical Humanity Curriculum Using Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics Model)

  • The purpose of this study was to propose a theoretical model for an integrated medical humanities curriculum based on a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) education framework and to provide a guideline for curriculum integration. Three dimensions of integrated curriculum development are competencies, core contents, and elements of integration. Competencies imply the purpose of the medical humanities of a medical school and the exit outcomes of the curriculum. Core contents imply the goals and objectives of the curriculum. We compared the goals and themes of the medical humanities with core attributes of professionalism. Four elements of integration were proposed: units (cases, problem activities, core contents, disciplines/subjects), types (multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary), contexts of integration (life cycle of patients, scope of society), and stages of student development (from student to doctor). It is expected that this theoretical model for an integrated medical humanities curriculum can be used as a guideline for curriculum development and an evaluation criterion for instructional designers and subject matter experts.
