The purpose of this study is to analyze the residential space composition and extension of Jeonja-jip and Dureong-jip in Samcheok region. The results of this study are as follows. It appears three residential plan types - Jeonja-jip with Anmaru(a room made of wooden floor), Jeonja-jip without Anmaru and Dureong-jip with Anmaru- in survey region. It was needed the extension of residential space at Jeonja-jip(a house type with two-row rooms which be composed of 田type under one roof) and Dureong-jip(a house type with inner floor which be surrounded by rooms under one roof) because of shortage of sleeping space, working space and keeping space owing to growing large family. The solutions of these shortages will be the extension of space in houses. Jeonja-jip's basic type which is the Kyup-Jip(a house type with two-row rooms under one roof) of 一 type with 6 Kans(Kan, a unit to count room to divided with four posts) is transformed and extended to 田shaped house with 11 Kans toward X-axis orientation. Dureong-Jip's basic type which is ㄱ type with 7 Kans is transformed and extended to the Sekyup-Jip with 9 Kans and the Nekyup-Jip(a house type with four-row rooms under one roof) with 12 Kans toward Y-axis orientation by insertion and addition. Jeonja-jip was developed into Kyup-Jip with front 4 or 5 Kans and side 2 Kans instead of being done into Sekyup-jip or Nekyup-Jip with insufficient day lighting and ventilation problems. Jeonja-jip and Dureong-jip were stronger than any other traditional houses in tendency to reserve Magu(cowshed) and Chikkan(toilet) in a house.
Aims: To identify the psychosocial adjustment of Turkish patients with breast cancer and the effects of perceived social support on their adjustment. Materials and Methods: The sample comprised 100 volunteering patients diagnosed with breast cancer in the last six months reporting to the Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit at the Medical Faculty Hospital in northern Turkey. The data for the study were collected through the Descriptive Information Form, the Psychosocial Adjustment to Illness Scale-Self-reflection (PAIS-SR) and the Cancer-Specific Social Support Scale and analyzed via SPSS 16.0 for Windows. Descriptive statistics, Chi square test, ANOVA and correlation were used to evaluate data. Results: There was a negative significant correlation between mean scores in the sub-scales of the social support scale and the ones in the sub-scales of the psychosocial adjustment to illness scale (p<0.05). Similarly, there was a negative significant correlation between confidence support and health care orientation as well as adjustment to social environment. Likewise, emotional support was in a negative significant correlation with health care orientation, adjustment to domestic environment, extended family relationships and adjustment to social environment. Conclusions: It was concluded that social support for patients with breast cancer had an influence on their psychosocial adjustment to illness. Holistic care should be given to breast cancer patients by oncology nurses especially in the first six months of treatment. It could be concluded that patients should be accompanied by their family/relatives in treatment and care following their diagnosis with breast cancer, that their family should be made more aware of the fact that the patient should be physically and psychologically supported, that patients with breast cancer should be provided with domiciliary care, and that they should be encouraged to participate in social support groups.

CIGS film has been fabricated on soda-lime glass, which is coated with Mo film. by multi-source evaporation process. The films has been prepared with thickness of 1.0 ${\mu}m$, 1.75${\mu}m$, 2.0${\mu}m$, 2.3${\mu}m$, and 3.0${\mu}m$. X-ray diffraction analysis with film thickness shows that CIGS films exhibit a strong (112) preferred orientation. Furthermore. CIGS films exhibited distinctly decreasing the full width of half-maximum and (112) preferred peak with film thickness. Also, The film's microstructure, such as the preferred orientation, the full width at half-maximum(FWHM), and the interplanar spacing were examined by X-ray diffraction. The preparation condition and the characteristics of the unit layers were as followings ; Mo back contact DC sputter, CIGS absorber layer : three-stage coevaporation, CdS buffer layer : chemical bath deposition, ZnO window layer : RF sputtering, $MgF_2$ antireflectance : E-gun evaporation

Based on the importance of spatial thinking to understand celestial motion, this study aimed to investigate how spatial thinking was treated in astronomy classes. For this study, we analyzed four elementary teachers' science classes about the unit 'solar systems and stars' in 5th grade in terms of spatial thinking. The results showed that sharing perspectives and orientation explicitly between a teacher and students were important for students to understand celestial motion. Providing the earth-based and the space-based viewpoints simultaneously were helpful for students' understanding of celestial motion. Based on these results, this study suggested that clarifying the viewpoint and orientation, showing the earth-based and the space-based viewpoint simultaneously, and reorganizing the relative units of astronomy based on celestial motion and spatial thinking.

A robotic sapatial augmented reality (RSAR) system, which combines robotic components with projector-based AR technique, is unique in its ability to expand the user interaction area by dynamically changing the position and orientation of a projector-camera unit (PCU). For a moving PCU mounted on a conventional robotic device, we can compute its extrinsic parameters using a robot kinematics method assuming a link and joint geometry is available. In a RSAR system based on user-created robot (UCR), however, it is difficult to calibrate or measure the geometric configuration, which limits to apply a conventional kinematics method. In this paper, we propose a data-driven kinematics control method for a UCR-based RSAR system. The proposed method utilized a pre-sampled data set of camera calibration acquired at sufficient instances of kinematics configurations in fixed joint domains. Then, the sampled set is compactly represented as a set of B-spline surfaces. The proposed method have merits in two folds. First, it does not require any kinematics model such as a link length or joint orientation. Secondly, the computation is simple since it just evaluates a several polynomials rather than relying on Jacobian computation. We describe the proposed method and demonstrates the results for an experimental RSAR system with a PCU on a simple pan-tilt arm.

The georeferencing accuracy of the sensory data acquired by an aerial monitoring system heavily depends on the performance of the GPS/IMU mounted on the system. The employment of a high performance but expensive GPS/IMU unit causes to increase the developmental cost of the overall system. In this study, we simulate the images and GPS/IMU data acquired by an UAV-based aerial monitoring system using an inexpensive integrated GPS/IMU of a MEMS type, and perform the image georeferencing by applying the aerial triangulation to the simulated sensory data without any GCP. The image georeferencing results are then analyzed to assess the accuracy of the estimated exterior orientation parameters of the images and ground points coordinates. The analysis indicates that the RMSEs of the exterior orientation parameters and ground point coordinates is significantly decreased by about 90% in comparison with those resulted from the direct georeferencing without the aerial triangulation. From this study, we confirmed the high possibility to develop a low-cost real-time aerial monitoring system.
People's Republic of China is one of the most rapidly developing countries in the world today. There is a great demand on highly actual and accurate spatial information of the whole country, especially of West China which becomes the focus of development of the Chinese government right now and in the next years, but where still not enough topographic maps are available. This raises great challenges to the surveying and mapping community in China. Facing the new challenges the Chinese Academy of Surveying and Mapping (CASM) started its pioneer work early 2002 to explore new techniques and technologies available today toward increasing the map productivity. With import of a CCNS/AEROcontrol system in November 2002 the first DGPS/IMU-based photogrammetric project in China was successfully accomplished jointly by CASM and the Germany-based companies IGI and Techedge. Two photogrammetric blocks of 1:4,000 and 1:20,000 photo scale, respectively, were flown in Anyang, China. Direct georeferencing and integrated sensor orientation were conducted. Results achieved were proven by using ground check points and compared with those of aerial triangulation. Orthophotos generated based on direct georeferencing shows the high efficiency and quality, and thus proved the promise of the new technology. Furthermore several DGPS/IMU-based photogammetric projects was accomplished one by one and a big project of more than 100,000 km2 in the Inner Mongolia will be started in August 2003. The paper presents experiences with DGPS/IMU-based photogrammetry in China. Results achieved in concrete projects are shown and evaluated. Politic and technical specialties in China are discussed. Conclusions outline the potential of DGPS/IMU-based photogrammetric production in China.
High-quality sea-ice surface models generated from aerial images can be used effectively as field data for developing satellite-based remote sensing methods but also as analysis data for understanding geometric variations of Arctic sea-ice. However, the lack of texture information on sea-ice surfaces can reduce the accuracy of image matching. In this paper, we analyze the performance of matching cost functions for homogeneous sea-ice surfaces as a part of high-quality sea-ice surface model generation. The matching cost functions include sum of squared differences (SSD), normalized cross-correlation (NCC), and zero-mean normalized cross-correlation (ZNCC) in image domain and phase correlation (PC), orientation correlation (OC), and gradient correlation (GC) in frequency domain. In order to analyze the matching performance for texture changes clearly and objectively, a new evaluation methodology based on the principle of object-space matching technique was introduced. Experimental results showed that it is possible to secure reliability and accuracy of image matching only when optimal search windows are variably applied to each matching point in textureless regions such as sea-ice surfaces. Among the matching cost functions, NCC and ZNCC showed the best performance for texture changes.
There has been proposed many simplification algorithms for effectively decreasing large-volumed polygonal surface data. These algorithms apply their own cost function for collapse to one of fundamental simplification unit, such as vertex, edge and triangle, and minimize the simplification error occurred in each simplification steps. Most of cost functions adopted in existing works use the error estimation method based on distance optimization. Unfortunately, it is hard to define the local characteristics of surface data using distance factor alone, which is basically scalar component. Therefore, the algorithms cannot preserve the characteristic features in surface areas with high curvature and, consequently, loss the detailed shape of original mesh in high simplification ratio. In this paper, we consider the vector component, such as surface orientation, as one of factors for cost function. The surface orientation is independent upon scalar component, distance value. This means that we can reconsider whether or not to preserve them as the amount of vector component, although they are elements with low scalar values. In addition, we develop a simplification algorithm based on half-edge collapse manner, which use the proposed cost function as the criterion for removing elements. In half-edge collapse, using one of endpoints in the edge represents a new vertex after collapse operation. The approach is memory efficient and effectively applicable to the rendering system requiring real-time transmission of large-volumed surface data.

In the present study, we assessed the parallel computing performance of Agisoft Metashape for orthomosaic generation, which can implement aerial triangulation, generate a three-dimensional point cloud, and make an orthomosaic based on SfM (Structure from Motion) technology. Due to the nature of SfM, most of the time is spent on Align photos, which runs as a relative orientation, and Build dense cloud, which generates a three-dimensional point cloud. Metashape can parallelize the two processes by using multi-cores of CPU (Central Processing Unit) and GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). An orthomosaic was created from large UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) images by six conditions combined by three parallel methods (CPU only, GPU only, and CPU + GPU) and two operating systems (Windows and Linux). To assess the consistency of the results of the conditions, RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) of aerial triangulation was measured using ground control points which were automatically detected on the images without human intervention. The results of orthomosaic generation from 521 UAV images of 42.2 million pixels showed that the combination of CPU and GPU showed the best performance using the present system, and Linux showed better performance than Windows in all conditions. However, the RMSE values of aerial triangulation revealed a slight difference within an error range among the combinations. Therefore, Metashape seems to leave things to be desired so that the consistency is obtained regardless of parallel methods and operating systems.
