현장계측에 의한 지반거동 분석 (Ground Movement Analysis by Field Measurements)

  • This study is analysis for adjacent structures and ground movement by deep excavation work. Underground Inclinometer has shown that deformation of increment is minor within to allowable limit. According to the measurements result of slope and crack for adjacent structures, a detached house showed bigger than hospital structure to deformation of increment. Variation of underground water level didn't effect so much to ground and adjacent structures movement because underground water flows in rock and didn't give the water press to propped walls. Measurement data of strut variation is within tolerance limit. Because excavation site's wall was strengthened suitably. This study will contribute in establishment of measurement standard and information-oriented construction during deep excavation in multi-layered ground including rock masses.

  • Waterproofing techniques used in underground structures do not reflect material and construction environments, but rely only on material properties, which inevitably lead to their limits in durable life. In particular, the government intends to investigate the current underground water treatment method and analyze the problems in order to prevent serious corrosion and aging of structures caused by underground water leaks and poor construction.

  • In underground reinforced concrete structures, such as drainage structure, water and chloride ion penetrated into concrete through the cracks of concrete and its permeable property, cause the corrosion of reinforcing steel bar, which accelerates the expansive cracks and deterioration of concrete. It is necessary to control those deterioration of underground structure by improving its permeability and durability through the reasonable solutions in design, construction and materials. In the present study, fly ash concrete, which has good material properties in long-term period, was compared and studied with plain concrete using ordinary portland cement in terms of fundamental mechanical properties, permeability, drying shrinkage and durability. Also, the mix design and field test of low permeable concrete using fly ash were performed. From this study, fly ash concrete can control the penetration of water and chloride ion effectively by forming dense micro-structure of concrete. Therefore, fly ash concrete may increase the long-term function, performance and serviceability of underground structures.

  • 지하구조물에 적절한 신축이음을 두지 않게 되면, 신축량에 대응하지 못해 구조물에 구조적 균열과 누수로 인한 콘크리트의 백태 등이 발생할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 방수성능과 내구성이 우수한 새로운 지하구조물용 신축이음 장치에 대한 성능을 검증하였다. 유한요소해석을 통하여 지하구조물 신축이음장치의 간격을 설정하고 개발된 신축이음장치의 적정 신축량을 확인하였다. 또한, 검증실험결과 개발된 신축이음장치의 수축 신장에 따른 피로 기준을 만족하였으며 방수성능이 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

  • An analysis of the current water leak status of understand structure (underground parking lots, staircases, plumbing systems, water reservoirs, etc.) of multi-family housing in South Korea shows that water leaks are found from cracks in all areas of the underground structure caused by the degradation environment (water pressure by underground water, humidity, temperature, earth pressure, soil behaviour and vibration, etc.), which result in various problems, including mold, malodour, debonding of finishing materials, exfoliation, breakout, water leaks in electrical boxes, efflorescence, sedimentation of calcium hydroxide, decoloration, rusting, damages and pollution among others. Therefore, this study aims to analyse the current status of water leaks in underground structure and use the results as the basic data for developing a standard guideline for water leaks and maintenance by parts of the underground structure of multi-family housing.

  • 최근 도심지에서는 지하수위 변화에 따른 지반침하 및 싱크홀이 다수 발생함에 따라 안정된 지하수위 관리에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지반의 지하수위 및 유효응력의 변화가 지하철구조물의 안정성에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 버스환승센터 조성 구간 부지 하부로 통과하는 지하철구조물을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 지하철구조물의 안정성 평가를 위해 수행된 연계해석 및 구조해석 결과 지하수위 저하에 따른 구조물의 안정성은 확보되는 것으로 평가되었다. 이와 같이 도심지 터파기 시공 전 지하수위 변화에 따른 지반거동 및 인접구조물에 미치는 영향을 사전에 검토하고 예측하여 효율적인 공사관리가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

Ab-Anbar, the Ancient Underground Water Houses of Iran

  • Throughout the history, the people of Iran have battled the dryness by innovations to preserve every drop of water that lands from the rare clouds, or from a stream flowing out of distant springs. Water is precious and held with highest respect, whether stored for drinking at an Ab-Anbar, or for washing and farming at the Houz in the middle of their oasis homes and orchards, or sourced at a Qanat spring or Jooy under ground. How it is that drinking water as cold as a mountain fall is found in desert of Iran? Ab-Anbar is an ancient means of water preservation and cooling through anunderground building structure. These underground structures have been present in Khorasan and other desert provinces of Iran as public or private water storage facilities, widely used before the installation of public plumbing systems in the late 1950s. Although many of these structures are still functional, most have been protected by government for restoration or viewing by the public as historical heritage. Khorasan natural dry climate and the massive surrounding deserts have been a breeding ground for many designs of Ab-Anbars. Today the existing number of such facilities stands in the province of Khorasan. Usually these structures were built in populated areas, also there are some forms of such structures on old trade routes and roadways leading to and from populated towns. This paper considers the history of Ab-Anbars in Khorasan as well as other relevant aspects such as types, components, construction methods and materials, filling and withdrawal systems.

수처리 지중구조물의 내진설계 기준 개선을 위한 지진 응답 제안식의 관한 연구 (A Study on the Seismic Response Formula for Improvement of Seismic Design Code of Water Treatment Underground Structures)

  • 수처리 지중구조물의 내진설계에서 내진설계 시보다 일반설계의 경우에 부재력 값이 더 크다고 알려져 있다. 그러나 이는 수처리 지중구조물의 종류 즉, 정수지 구조물, 침전지 구조물, 공동구 구조물에 따라서 다르다. 또한 최근 국내에서 발생한 지진의 규모를 보면 대형지진이 빈번하므로 설계지진력의 크기가 커질 때 수처리 지중구조물의 내진거동의 규명 및 대처방안이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 수처리 지중구조물의 종류별로 하중계수 즉, 설계지진가속도를 일정 비율로 증가시키면서 지중구조물의 지진응답을 분석하고 변화를 나타내는 식을 제안하여 향후 설계기준 개정시에 참조하도록 하였다. 해석은 등가 정적해석법과 응답 변위해석법을 적용하고, 지하수 유무, 토피고에 따라서 다양하게 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 식은 향후 수처리 지중구조물의 설계기준 개정시에 유용할 것으로 판단된다.

Development of Impact Evaluation and Diagnostic Indicators for Sinkholes

  • Based on the previous studies on sinkholes and ground subsidence conducted until date, the factors affecting the occurrence of sinkholes can be divided into natural environmental factors and human environmental factors in accordance with the purpose of the study. Furthermore, to be more specific, the human environment can be classified into the artificial type and the social type. In this study, the assessment indices for assessing risks of sinkholes and ground subsidence were developed by performing AHP analysis based on the results of the study by Lee et al. (2016), who selected the risk factors for the occurrence of sinkholes by performing Delphi analysis targeting relevant experts. Analysis showed that the artificial environmental factors were of significance in affecting the occurrence of sinkholes. Explicitly, the underground factors were found to be of importance in the natural environment, and among them, the level of underground water turned out to be an imperative influencing factor. In the artificial environment, the underground and subterranean structures exhibited similar importance, and in the underground structures, the excessive use of the underground space was found to be an important influencing factor. In the subterranean ones, the level of water leakage and the erosion of the water supply and sewage piping system were the influential factors, and in the surface, compaction failure was observed as an imperative factor. In the social environment, the regional development, and above all, the groundwater overuse were found to be important factors. In the managemental and institutional environment, the improper construction management proved to be the most important influencing factor.
