The Performance Analysis for the New Architecture of DWDM Network

  • Aggregate bandwidth required by the internet is expected to be explosively increased. To meet this anticipated need, an ultra high speed internet backbone transport network, capable of supporting up to a Tbps traffic capacity, is required. this thesis examines, through computer simulation and modeling, the technological requirements and assesses the performance analysis and feasibility for implementing ultra-high speed NGI backbone transport network fabric based on WDM technology. The study results are that C/L band EDFA spectral gains for ultra high speed DWDM have been improved from 2.61dB/1.5386dB to 0.03dB/0.096dB by proposed architecture.

Dynamic analysis of guideway structures by considering ultra high-speed Maglev train-guideway interaction

  • In this study, the new three-dimensional finite element analysis model of guideway structures considering ultra high-speed magnetic levitation train-bridge interaction, in which the various improved finite elements are used to model structural members, is proposed. The box-type bridge deck of guideway structures is modeled by Nonconforming Flat Shell finite elements with six DOF (degrees of freedom). The sidewalls on a bridge deck are idealized by using beam finite elements and spring connecting elements. The vehicle model devised for an ultra high-speed Maglev train is employed, which is composed of rigid bodies with concentrated mass. The characteristics of levitation and guidance force, which exist between the super-conducting magnet and guideway, are modeled with the equivalent spring model. By Lagrange's equations of motion, the equations of motion of Maglev train are formulated. Finally, by deriving the equations of the force acting on the guideway considering Maglev train-bridge interaction, the complete system matrices of Maglev train-guideway structure system are composed.

초고속 태핑머신 개발 (Tapping Machine of World′s Fastest Speed)

  • The tapping is machining process that makes a female screw on the parts to be assembly together. It is used for the high-speed tapping machine with synchronizing function for the high productivity. This paper describes the development of the ultra high-speed tapping machine with 10,000rpm. The key factors in the tapping speed are the acceleration/deceleration velocity and the synchronizing errors between the spindle motor and feeding motor. To minimizing acceleration/deceleration time, the low inertia spindle with synchronous built-in servo motor is developed. To minimizing synchronizing errors, the tapping cycle algorithm under open architecture CNC environment is optimized. The developed tapping machine has 0.13sec/10,000rpm in acceleration/deceleration time and the synchronizing error below 4.0%. It has 0.55sec for cycle time of one female screw, M3 tap, 2 times depth of tap diameter.

고속비행체용 스파이럴 그루브 드라이 가스 시일의 윤활 성능해석 (Lubrication Performance Analysis of a Spiral Groove Dry Gas Seal for a High-Speed Flying Object)

  • In this study a general Galerkin FE lubrication analysis method is utilized to analyze the complex lubrication performance of a spiral groove seal, which is being designed and developed for a high-speed flying object application operating at a high-speed of over 50,000 rpm. As at the equilibrium seal clearance the axial stiffness of the seal is predicted to have almost such a constant high value of $1.04\times10^8\;N/m$ regardless of a rotating speed, the seal is expected to maintain a stable thickness of lubrication film under a certain external excitation acting. Also, as even at an ultra high-speed of 80,000 rpm the axial damping of the seal is shown to have a rotatively high value of 5,775 N-s/m, the dynamic stability of the seal system at the axial degree of freedom is assured well enough.

  • 지난 20여년간 광섬유전송방식의 고속화는 괄목할만한 성장을 이룩했다. 최근에는 어븀첨가광섬유증폭기의 개발로 인하여 10Gb/s의 초고속 광기간통신전송방식도 실용화를 앞두고 있다. 한편, 가입자에게도 광섬유가 포설되어 화상을 주체로 한 서비스가 제공되는 향후의 B-SIDN망에서는 전송로는 물론 노드까지도 초고속의 신호전송 처리가 필수이다. 그러나, 전기적인 처리를 기반으로 한 종래의 전송 처리기술로는 속도의 한계에 도달할 가능성이 많아서 이를 대체 할 수 있는 광소자개발 및 새로운 기술구축이 요구된다. 또한, 광솔리톤은 광섬유의 분산에 의해서 광펄스폭이 널어지지 않고 안정적으로 광섬유를 전파해가는 성질을 충분히 잘 활용한 기술로써 장거리 통신기술로 적합하게 개발되었다. 이와 같은 배경으로부터 본고에서는 차세대기간통신을 위한 초고속 초장거리 광전송기술 즉, 향후에 Tb/s 전송의 주역이 될 광주파수 다중기술 및 무중계 장거리 전송이 가능한 광솔리톤기술의 연구현황을 살펴보고 기술적인 문제점 해결을 위한 향후의 연구동향을 소개한다.

초고강도강판의 성형성에 미치는 슬라이드 모션 제어와 마찰특성의 영향 (Effect of Slide Motion Control and Friction Characteristics on Formability of Ultra High Strength Steel)

  • Although the application of high strength steel is increasing to cope with the various updated regulations of automobiles, high strength steel sheets are difficult to formulate due to the high tensile strength and low elongation of those materials. In this study, the slide motion was controlled using a servo press in order to improve the formability of the process of manufacturing ultra-high strength steel of above 1.2GPa. Also, the friction characteristics of the slid motion were investigated through a high speed friction test. The slide motion was optimized by adjusting the number of steps, the rising start position and the rise height of the slide. At the same time, it is noted that the optimal slide motion increased the forming depth by about 40%. From the results of the high speed friction test, the application of the slide motion reduces friction resistance, thereby improving friction characteristics and improving formability.

  • 본 연구에서는 진공튜브 내 초고속열차의 공기저항을 전산유체역학을 이용하여 계산하였으며, 튜브-열차 시스템의 주요 시스템 파라메타인 열차 속도, 공기밀도, 터널 직경을 변화시켜가면서 공기저항의 변화를 살펴보았다. 튜브 내에서의 열차 공기저항은 속도의 제곱보다 더 급격히 증가하며, 튜브 직경이 증가함에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 공기밀도가 감소함에 따라 개활지와 마찬가지로 거의 선형적으로 감소하는 특성을 보여주었으며, 특정 파라메타 공간에 대하여 파라메타에 따른 공기저항 변화의 불규칙성이 다소 나타났다.

  • In this paper, grinding characteristics of ultra high speed cylindrical plunge grinding was investigated by use of vitrified CBN wheel. From the experimental result, it was convinced that grinding power is decreased according to the increase of wheel and workpiece speed due to changing of grinding mechanism which decreases depth of cut and length of contact curve according to increment of wheel speed. And also, stock removal reduction of each gram lead to improvement of surface roughness by increasing the wheel speed.

  • High-speed milling machine is being sold mainly in the market of die and mold industries, because it reduces machining time greatly as proportion to the spindle speed of machine tool. From the experimental milling tests, it has been cleared that the ball end mill is quite suitable for high speed milling and also tool wear reduces in higher speed milling condition. And a new milling concept with ultra high speed over 100, 000 rpm is proposed for solving the various problems such as NC cutter path generation and NC feed conformity etc.

  • Generally the ultra-high strength steel reinforced concrete has rich mix composition composed of high-strength type mineral admixtures and as a result of very low water-binder ratio(about under w/b=25%), it reveals ultra-high compressive strength(about over 100Mpa). Also, in order to obtain sufficient toughness after construction, we usually mix a large quantity steel fiber with ultra-high strength steel reinforced concrete therefore we must use proper mixer for workability. When we make the ultra-high strength steel reinforced concrete we need more long mixing time or much super-plasticizer than when we manufacture normal concrete. These bring about economical problems and performance deterioration. Therefore, in this study, in order to manufacture easily ultra-high strength steel reinforced concrete we develope a dedicated mixer for ultra-high strength steel reinforced concrete with high speed type. It carried out the examination for comparison between the dedicated and general type mixer, the analysis and counterplan of the point at issue when we manufacture ultra-high strength steel reinforced concrete by the dedicated mixer.
