An Empirical Approach to the Influence of IT Assets and Information Security Service on Information Security Quality and Satisfaction (IT자산과 정보보호 서비스가 정보보호 품질 및 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구)

  • In the era of the Internet and ubiquitous computing, IS users are still facing a variety of threats. Therefore, a need of more tightened information security service increases unprecedentedly. In this sense, this study is aimed at proposing a new research model in which IT assets (i.e., network, system, and information influence) and Information Security Service (i.e., confidentiality, integrity, nonrepudiation, authentication) affect information security qualty positively, leading to users' satisfaction eventually To prove the validity of the proposed research model, PLS analysis is applied with valid 177 questionnaires. Results reveal that both IT assets and Information Security Service influence informations security quality positively, and user satisfaction as well. From the results, it can be concluded that Korean government's recent orchestrated efforts to boost the IT assets and Information Security Service helped great improve the information security quality and user satisfaction.

  • As the information society changes into the ubiquitous computing society, the importance of information security has increased. Governments and enterprises are carrying out various information security activities to operate their information asset effectively. Since 2006, the Korean government has implemented 'Advance Diagnosis' policy to analyze the vulnerability of the information security from the early stage of the information system development to secure the information stability. This study proposes an analyzing framework for the economic effects of Advance Diagnosis for Information Security and presents an illustrative application em a real Advance Diagnosis case. The results of this study can be applied to secure the economic justification of government policies for the security of information systems.

  • 유비쿼터스 네트워크는 기존의 네트워크와 같이 네트워크 인프라가 구축된 상태에서 통신을 수행하는 것이 아닌 인프라가 존재하지 않은 상태에서 각 단말들 상호간의 라우팅으로 데이터 송$\cdot$수신 등의 통신 기능을 수행할 수 있는 형태의 네트워크 구조를 가지므로 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 보안성을 제공한다는 것은 많은 어려움이 따른다. 본 논문에서는 프로토콜에서 기본적으로 보안성을 제공하기 위한 2가지 형태의 패킷 형태를 제시하였고, 이러한 구조를 통한 데이터 전송은 보다 빠른 데이터 처리를 수행할 수 있다.

  • Is need Remote Access through internet for business of Ubiquitous Computing age, and apply OTP for confidentiality about inputed ID and Password, network security of integrity. Current OTP must be possessing hardware or Token, and there is limitation in security. Install a Snooping tool to OTP network in this treatise, and because using Cain, enforce ARP Cache Poisoning attack and confirm limitation by Snooping about user password. Wish to propose new system that can apply Tokenless OTP by new security way, and secure confidentiality and integrity. Do test for access control inflecting Tokenless OTP at Remote Access from outside. and could worm and do interface control with certification system in hundred. Even if encounter hacking at certification process, thing that connection is impossible without pin number that only user knows confirmed. Because becoming defense about outward flow and misuse and hacking of password when apply this result Tokenless OTP, solidify security, and evaluated by security system that heighten safety.

  • A RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system receives attention as the technology which can realize the ubiquitous computing environment. However, the feature of the RFID tags may bring about new threats to the security and privacy of individuals. Recently, Juels proposed the minimalist cryptography for very low-cost RFID tags, which is secure. but only under the impractical assumption such that an adversary is allowed to eavesdrop only the pre-defined number of sessions. In this paper, we propose a scheme to protect privacy for very low-cost RFID systems. The proposed protocol uses only bit-wise operations without my costly cryptographic function such as hashing, encryption which is secure which is secure against an adversary who is allowed to eavesdrop transmitted message in every session any impractical assumption. The proposed scheme also is more efficient since our scheme requires less datas as well as few number of computations than Juels's scheme.

  • RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system is expected to play a critical role providing widespread services in the ubiquitous period. However, widespread use of RFID tags may create new threats to the privacy of individuals such as information leakage and traceability. It is difficult to solve the privacy problems because a tag has the limited computing power that is not the adequate resource to support the general encryption. Although the scheme of [2] protects the consumer privacy using an external agent, a tag should compute exponential operation needed high cost. We propose Self Re-Encryption Protocol (SREP) which provides song privacy without assisting of any external agent. Our SREP is well suitable to low-cost RFID system since it only needs multiplication and exclusive-or operation.

  • MANET composed of only moving nodes is concerned to core technology to construct ubiquitous computing environment. Also, it is a lack of security because of no middle infrastructure. So, it is necessary to intrusion detection system which can track malicious attack. In this study, cluster was used to stable intrusion detection, and rule about various attacks was defined to detect accurately attack that seems like network problem. Proposed method through experience was confirmed that stable detection rate was showed although number of nodes increase.
