  • Ubiquitous computing environment requires strong security and privacy. Access control is one of security areas. Access control on Ubiquitous computing is different from it on traditional information systems so that traditional access control models are not suitable for Ubiquitous comput-ing environment. This research defines Ubiquitous computing environment as an access control point of view, and shows requirements to consid-er for developing access control model for Ubiquitous computing environment. It also brings up three implementing types of access control on Ubiquitous computing environment.

  • The rapidly developed environment by ubiquitous computing make the paradigm from e-trade to u-trade. The purpose of the study is to find out issue and the strategic suggestions that could link together between the e-trade and ubiquitous computing in side of information security.   • Spotlighted as an innovative information technology environment, ubiquitous computing has been actively researched on recently. Especially, domestic and global researches focus on the RFID system, which is being eyed to replace the existing bar-code system. As an essential technology for ubiquitous computing, the RFID system can be applied for various purposes. The security issues of the RFID system focus on how the low-priced tag type could have reasonable price competitiveness. The Auto-ID Center in the U.S. is spearheading the research on distribution service and omni-directional security. As for Japan, the researches on omni-directional security and EPC application are necessary in securing the technology for ubiquitous computing with support from the Ministry of Public Management Home Affairs, Posts, and Telecommunication. In this paper, a method of ensuring the availability of the RFID system service will be presented based on the ubiquitous computing environment with the existing omni-directional security and user-friendly interface. While the existing researches focus on the RF reader system and tag-based security, this paper's suggestion also considers the availability of a sen ice to suggest ways of increasing the practical usage of a low-priced RF tag.

  • Ubiquitous Computing is gradually accepting in our real society. Already some Advanced State has studying of Ubiquitous for more convenience Ubiquitous environment. Anywhere, Anytime user can be provided information and service that he want, but it has some problem such as Rogue AP, IP spoofing, DoS attack, Warm which can causing social confusion in Ubiquitous society. In this paper we must analysis that security requirement in the Ubiquitous network environment and investigate 'Ad hoc' and RFID which is main technique for network infra construction.

  • New computing paradigm in ubiquitous computing environments is revolutionizing the way people interact with computers, services and the surrounding physical spaces. In order to provide stronger authentication, MIST proposed an authentication framework for ubiquitous computing environments and assigned confidence values to some authentication methods to facility the combining. However, the assigned confidence values lack sufficient evidence. In this paper reliable confidence values for each authentication method used in MIST is proposed. These confidence values can combine multiple confidence values in some manner, producing a more accurate net confidence value. Authentication entities with confidence values allows the authentication framework to blond nicely into ubiquitous computing environments.

CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) is a middleware that used for smoothness communication between application program and operation system in a different environment. However distributed computing environment is not safe from the danger, the attack like virus, worm is too intellectual and variety.   • The ubiquitous computing environment is a new paradigm that represents the future life and is expected to bring about great changes in IT and in the lives of individuals. However, since a good deal of information can be easily obtained and shared in the ubiquitous computing environment, problems such as a security threat and infringement of privacy are getting serious. The present study is intended to explore some ways to minimize such problems by introducing RFID technology in the ubiquitous computing environment. This study also examines the causes of violation of security and privacy that might occur in the RFID system and requirement for security. In addition it seeks possible technical solutions to those causes.

  • The growth in the use of ubiquitous computing based on mobile services as an enabler to conduct business more effectively has been phenomenal. Technology acceptance model (TAM) has been applied in different contexts to examine a wide range of information technologies (IT). As more and more companies are finding ways to utilize ubiquitous computing based on mobile services, an important issue is to understand what factors will impact the decisions of consumers in adopting the services. Based on TAM with three additional groups of external factors, i.e., service-related factors (ubiquitous access, context awareness) and technology-related factors (perceived security risk, network connectivity) that are theoretically justified as having influence on both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use which are additionally considered, a research model for the investigated technology acceptance was developed and empirically examined, using responses from more than intended users of ubiquitous computing based on mobile services. The specific purposes of this study are as follows. Firstly, this study is to identify service beliefs considering unique characteristics for ubiquitous services such as perceived ubiquitous access and perceived context awareness. Secondly, this study is to investigate network characteristics beliefs such as perceived security and perceived connectivity. Thirdly, this paper investigates the relationship among variables such as ubiquitous characteristics, network characteristics, behavioral beliefs, and intention to use ubiquitous web services. This study uses a structural equation model to test the research model. The major results of this study are as follows. Firstly, ubiquitous access has a influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Context awareness has an influence on perceived usefulness. Secondly, User familiarity has an influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, and intention to use. User innovativeness has an influence on perceived ease of use. Thirdly, perceived security risk has an influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Network connectivity has an influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Fourth, there exist differential effects among factors in structural model among information, transaction, and entertainment services.
