In mobile communication, the most exploratory technology of fifth generation is massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO). The minimum mean square error and zero forcing based linear detectors are used in multiuser detection for MIMO single-carrier frequency division multiple access (SCFDMA). When the received signal is detected and regularization sequence is joined in the equalization of spectral null amplification, these schemes experience an error performance and the signal detection assesses an inversion of a matrix computation that grows into complexity. Ordered successive interference cancelation (OSIC) detection is considered for MIMO SC-FDMA, which uses a posteriori information to eradicate these problems in a realistic environment. To cancel the interference, sorting is preferred based on signal-to-noise ratio and log-likelihood ratio. The distinctiveness of the methodology is to predict the symbol with the lowest error probability. The proposed work is compared with the existing methods, and simulation results prove that the defined algorithm outperforms conventional detection methods and accomplishes better performance with lower complication.
In this paper, we compare the QoS performance enhancement schemes according to the network architecture of mobile WiMAX system in order to improve the end-to-end QoS performance and propose QoS parameter mapping method and IP packet scheduling algorithm. To evaluate the end-to-end QoS performance, we implemented an end-to-end simulator of mobile WiMAX system using OPNET. Simulation results show that the proposed QoS parameter mapping scheme reduces the average delay of VoIP packet and improves uplink resource efficiency. And also, when the proposed IP packet scheduling algorithm is applied to the system, the end-to-end packet transmission delay of VoIP service can be reduced by 44-67 percent compared to FIFO and WRR scheduler.

DSL(digital subscriber line) transceiver designers have concerned the impulsive noise as well as NEXT(near-end crosstalk) and FEXT(far-end crosstalk) immunities Down as the strongest sources that limit the DSL channel capacity. In these noise environment the analysis on the performance of DSL should be needed. Therefore, in this paper we have estimated and simulated the SNR(signal-to-noise ratio) margin of DMT(discrete multi-tone) signal in Gauss, NEXT, FEXT and impulse noise environment by modeling an Middleton's Class A impulse signal with the test Cook pulses. As a result, it is known that the transmission rate of uplink is limited by noise characteristics rather than by loop length, but that of downlink limited complexly by both of noise characteristics and loop length. In conclusion, these results will be utilized as the threshold of ADSL performance in the complex noise environment including impulse noise.

The new wireless multimedia environment is coming because of the variety of an user requirement and a traffic increase which we can not accept in the IMT-2000 present systems. To offer the wireless multimedia service the world wireless communication company which included the ITU-R is developing the standard and technique of 4G systems. We analyzed the technique criteria of the 4G wireless communication system in this paper which is based on that of WiBro System. We referred to the technique criteria of the WiBro system and deduced an occupied frequency bandwidth which is the common element of the uplink and downlink system among main wireless communication technique criteria. And we verified this through the simulation. So we proposed the occupied frequency bandwidth for 4G wireless communication in this paper.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is widely used as a multiple access technique for next generation mobile communication systems, however, its main drawback is the high peak-to-average ratio (PAPR). Thus for the uplink case where the transmit power is strictly limited due to the battery life of mobile units, single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) with low PAPR is preferred to OFDMA method. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the performance of SC-FDMA using frequency domain MMSE equalization. The proposed improved log-likelihood ratio (LLR) generation method exploits both the diversity characteristic of channels and the reciprocity that is obtained from the received signals. The complexity of the proposed method is analyzed and its performance gain is demonstrated via a set of computer simulations.
In this paper, the modified aviation TDMA protocol that can improve the aeronautical communication spectrum utilization is studied to satisfy the increasing air traffic demands. Currently European states proposed the scheme reducing the channel spacing from current 25 kHz to 8.33 kHz and U. S. FAA proposed the system using TDMA technique that divides access into four parallel circuits. The modified aviation TDMA protocol can complement the defects of these current systems. In modified aviation TDMA protocol, message channel that is used between aircraft and ground station is divided into uplink channel and downlink channel. After receiving the acknowledgement of the reservation request, aircraft sends messages at the allocated slots. Numerical analysis and simulation results show that the modified aviation TDMA scheme has high channel efficiency in the aviation environment.
Broadcast is a efficient interactive method between a server and mobile clients via wireless channel and broadcast environments are incarnating as various applications. Most studies have been proposed in broadcast environments deal with read-only mobile transactions, many applications are emerging recently that need to manage the update transactions at mobile clients. So we propose a concurrency control for mobile transactions consisted mainly of update operations in broadcast environments. As an optimistic approach is applied for scheduling update transactions, repetitive aborts of update transactions are occur due to conflict between transactions. To solve this problem update transactions must have been executed with distributed manner, but unnecessary aborts are occur as well because of continuous restart. Thus, in this paper we propose a method that transactions are executed distributed manner and can avoid unnecessary aborts of update transactions. Proposed method has no unnecessary uplink and can save resources of mobile client.

Cellular Network assisted device-to-device (D2D) communication has been growing to reduce the overload of eNodeB and mitigate the frequency shortage. However, by sharing the uplink frequency resource with the cellular network, the interference between cellular and D2D is increased. In this paper, we propose an advanced receiver for full suppression cancellation (FSC) to reduce the interference between cellular and D2D. The proposed receiver can suppress and cancel the interference by integrating the interference rejection combining (IRC) technique with successive interference cancellation (SIC). We perform a system level simulation based on the 20-MHz bandwidth of the 3GPP LTE-A system. Simulation results show that the proposed receiver can improve SINR, throughput and spectral efficiency compared to conventional receivers.

In this paper we propose a scheduling algorithm for supporting Quality of Service(QoS) in IEEE 802.11e HCCA referred to as ASR-DRR and ASD-DRR, which aims at providing improved performance for the support of multimedia traffic. Although We identify the problem of the current IEEE 802.11e HCCA (Hybrid Coordination Function Controlled Channel Access) scheduler and its numerous variations, that the queue information cannot be notified to the Hybrid Coordinator (HC) timely, therefore the uplink delay lengthens unnecessarily. We suggests a simple solution and a couple of implementation practices, namely the Adaptive Scheduler with RTS/CTS (ASR) and Adaptive Scheduler with Data/Ack (ASD). They are both further elaborated to emulate the Deficit Round Robin (DRR) scheduler. They are also compared with existing exemplary schedulers through simulation, and shown to perform well.

For uplink multi-user massive MIMO systems, conventional minimum mean square error (MMSE) linear detection method achieves near-optimal performance when the number of antennas at base station is much larger than that of the single-antenna users. However, MMSE detection involves complicated matrix inversion, thus making it cumbersome to be implemented cost-effectively and rapidly. In this paper, we first summarize in detail the state-of-the-art simplified MMSE detection algorithms that circumvent the complicated matrix inversion and hence reduce the computation complexity from ${\mathcal{O}}(K^3)$ to ${\mathcal{O}}(K^2)$ or ${\mathcal{O}}(NK)$ with some certain performance sacrifice. Meanwhile, we divide the simplified algorithms into two categories, namely the matrix inversion approximation and the classical iterative linear equation solving methods, and make comparisons between them in terms of detection performance and computation complexity. In order to further optimize the detection performance of the existing detection algorithms, we propose more proper solutions to set the initial values and relaxation parameters, and present a new way of reconstructing the exact effective noise variance to accelerate the convergence speed. Analysis and simulation results verify that with the help of proper initial values and parameters, the simplified matrix inversion based detection algorithms can achieve detection performance quite close to that of the ideal matrix inversion based MMSE algorithm with only a small number of series expansions or iterations.
