최적화기법 및 실험계획 법을 이용한 자동차 도어의 경량화 설계 (Lightweight Design for Automotive Door Using Optimizations and Design of Experiments)

  • Recently, ULSAB(Ultra Light Steel Auto Body) concept is getting more attention due to various benefits in automotive body design. One of the ULSAB efforts is making a door with TWB(Tailor Welded Blanks). In TWB, two or more patches of steel panels are welded together before stamping process. In this research, domains and thicknesses of the patches in a front door structure are determined by a series of optimization schemes composed of topology, size and shape optimization and DOE(Design of Experiments) scheme. A door is designed to have better performances compared to exiting structure considering static stiffness and natural frequency. The final design is discussed and compared to the existing design.

  • Weight reduction for an automobile body is being sought for the fuel efficiency and the energy conservation. One way of the efforts is adopting Ultra Light Steel Auto Body (ULSAB) concept. The ULSAB concept can be used for the light weight of an automobile door with the tailor welded blank (TWB). A design process is defined for the TWB. The inner panel of door is designed by the TWB and optimization. The design starts from an existing component. At first, the hinge and inner reinforcements are removed. In the conceptual design stage, topology optimization is conducted to find the distribution of variable thicknesses. The number of parts and the welding lines are determined from the topology design. In the detailed design process, size optimization is carried out to find thickness while stiffness constraints are satisfied. The final parting lines are determined by shape optimization.

초고강도강 적용 차체 부재의 경량 설계를 위한 정면 충돌성능 최적화 (Optimization of Frontal Crashworthiness for the Weight Reduction Design of an Auto-body Member with the Advanced High Strength Steels)

  • In this paper, optimization for frontal crashworthiness is carried out for the weight reduction design of an auto-body member with the advanced high strength steels(AHSS) such as 780TRIP and 780DP. The frontal crashworthiness is evaluated in order to optimize thicknesses for the front rail member of the ULSAB-AVC, Thicknesses of the front rail member with AHSS are optimized by comparison of crushing distance, absorbed energy and the deceleration for the auto-body with the response surface methodology. The results demonstrate that the crashworhiness of the front rail member with the optimum thicknesses of the AHSS is similar to analysis results obtained from the ULSAB-AVC project. The results also show that the weight reduction design is performed by substituting the AHSS for conventional structural steels such as 440E in the auto-body members.

박판성형가공을 고려한 자동차 충돌해석 (Crash Analysis of the ULSAB-AVC Model with Considering Forming Effects)

  • Most of auto-body members are composed of stamping parts. These parts have the non-uniform thickness and plastic work hardening distribution during the forming process. This paper is concerned with the side impact analysis of the ULSAB-AVC model according to the US-SINCAP in order to compare the crashworthiness between the model with and without considering the forming effect. The forming effect is ca]ciliated by one-step forming analysis for several members. The crashworthiness is investigated by comparing the deformed shape of the cabin room the energy absorption characteristics and the intrusion velocity of a car. The result of the crash analysis demonstrates that the crash mode, the load-carrying capacity and energy absorption can be affected by the forming effect. It is noted that the design of an autobody should be carried out considering the forming effect for accurate assessment of crashworthiness.

  • 자동차 경량화를 지향하는 초경량차체 기술 중에서 합체박판기술을 이용한 수 있는 일련의 최적설계 기법을 제안하고 기존의 자동차 도어 내판에 적용하여 경량화를 수행하였다. 먼저, 내판에 부착되는 보강재를 제거한 후 취약해진 강성을 보강하기 위한 파트 선정을 위해 위상 최적설계를 수행하여 대략적인 파트 분포를 결정하였다. 그 다음 상세설계 단계로서 각 파트의 두께는 치수 최적설계를 이용하여 정하고, 형상 최적설계로 최종 용접선을 결정하였다. 이러한 일련의 최적화를 위해 상용 소프트웨어인 GENESIS가 사용되었다.

자동차용 냉연강판의 개발현황 및 동향 (Trend in development of cold-rolled steel sheets for automotive application)

  • 승용차용 소재로 사용되는 철강재료의 구성비율은 국가별, 차종별로 큰 차이를 나타내기 때문에 일률적으로 표현하기는 곤란하다. 일본의 경우 열연강판, 냉연강판, 내식성 확보를 위해 냉연강판의 표면에 여러가지 종류의 도금을 한 표면처리강판등의 보통강판이 약 76%를 차지하고 있으며 나머지는 고탄소강, 고합금강, 스테인리스강, 스프링강, 베어링강 등의 특수강재와 주철이 차지하고 있다. 본 해설에서는 승용차 차체용 소재의 대부분을 차지하는 냉연강판을 중심으로 냉연강판의 제조공정, 연진 냉연강판을 중심으로 냉연강판의 제조공정, 연질 냉연강판의 개발현황과 개발방향, 인장강도 35kgf/$min^{2}$이상의 냉연강판을 의미하는 고장력 냉연강판의 개발현황과 개발방향을 소개한후 현재 세계철강협회(IISI) 주관으로 범세계적으로 추진중인 초경량 자동차 차체(ULSAB, Ultra Light Steel Auto Body)제조를 위한 프로젝트의 진행과정 설명을 통해 경량재료에 대한 철강업체의 대응전략을 소개하고자 한다.
