The nature of the two isomers of 4-nitroazoxybenzenes in strongly acidic solution have been analyzed by U.V. spectrophotometry. Oxygen atom in the azoxy-group of $\alpha$-and $\beta$-4-nitroazoxybenzene in strong acid solution migrates neither to para position nor ortho position of the unsubstituted benzene ring of the compound in contrast with the cases of methyl-and bromo-substituted azoxybenzene, and shown no Wallach rearrangement. Since the $^1A{\rightarrow}^1H$ bands of the spectra shown hyperchromic effect whereas the ${\pi}{\rightarrow}{\pi}^*$ bands of them exhibit extream hypochromic effect, it appears most likely that trans ${\rightarrow}$cis isomerization take place in the media. A mechanism of a triangular transition state by which the transformation might be proceeded, is proposed.

The impact of plant genetic engineering, a technology born in the early 1980's, is beginning to be felt across the world in the 1990's. The first wave of engineered plant produce are reaching consumers in the supermarket and many more are destined to follow Transformation technology now exists for most plant, including the four staple crops-maize, wheat, rice, and soybean. Early targets of genetic engineering include plane possessing insect resistance and herbicide tolerance, with future goals set on increasing harvestable yield, improving nutritional quality, and making specialty products. This review describes some of the milestones in plant biotechnology, the U.S. regulatory agencies, field trial numbers and deregulated plants, commercialization criteria, examples of commercialized plants, and future prospects of plant biotechnology.

The Characteristic Flux Difference Splitting (CFDS) scheme designed to adapt the characteristic boundary conditions at the wall and inflow/outflow boundary planes satisfies Roe's property U, although the CFDS Jacobian matrix is decomposed by a product of elaborate transformation matrices and explicit eigenvalue matrix. When the CFDS algorithm, thus a variant of Roe's scheme, is applied straightforwardly to hypersonic flows over a blunt body, the strong bow shock gradually breaks down near the stagnation point. This numerical instability is widely observed by many researchers employing flux-difference method, known in the literature as the carbuncle phenomenon. Many remedies have been proposed and resulted in partial cures. When the idea of Sanders et al. which identifies the minimum eigenvalues near the discontinuity present is applied to CFDS method, it is shown that the instability problem can be controlled successfully. A few flux splitting methods have also been tested and results are compared against the Nakamori's Mach 8 blunt body flow.

본 연구에서는 역섭동법을 이용한 손상탐지의 효율을 개선하는 목적으로 시스템 축소기법을 사용하였다. 이 방법은 손상탐지의 미측정 자유도를 측정된 자유도로 변환하여 역섭동법의 계산효율이 향상되는 장점이 있으나, 부정확한 자유도의 변환으로 수치적인 안정성이 저하될 수 있다. 따라서 자유도 변환식을 수치해법 과정에서 반복적으로 개선하는 방법과, 매우 정확한 accelerated improved reduced system (AIRS) 축소법의 사용으로 역섭동법의 수치적 불안정성을 해결하였다.

This article deals with the nonparametric analysis of longitudinal data when there exist possible correlations among repeated measurements for a given subject. We consider a quasi-likelihood regression model where a transformation of the regression function through a link function is linear in time-varying coefficients. We investigate the local polynomial approach to estimate the time-varying coefficients, and derive the asymptotic distribution of the estimators in this quasi-likelihood context. A real data set is analyzed as an illustrative example.

In this paper, Timoshenko and Euler-Bernoulli beam theories(EB-beam) are used, and Fast Fourier Transformation(FFT) analysis is then employed to extract their natural frequencies using both analytical approach and Co-rotational plane beam(CR-beam) EDISON program. EB-beam is used to analyze a spring-mass system with a single degree of freedom. Sinusoidal force with various frequencies and constant magnitude are applied to tip of each beam. After the oscillatory tip response is observed in EB-beam, it decreases and finally converges to the so-called 'steady-state.' The decreasing rate of the tip deflection with respect to time is reduced when the forcing frequency is increased. Although the tip deflection is found to be independent of the excitation frequency, it turns out that time to reach the steady state response is dependent on the forcing frequency.

In order to investigate the effects of api-toxin therapy on depression of immune response, mice were exposed to cold stress $(-20^{\circ}C)$) in 30 minutes twice a day and api-toxin(Bee Venom from Korea and U.S.A) therapy was treated to the Kihae $(CV_6)$ locus of human body every two days with 4 sessions of treatment for 8 days. The mice were sensitized i.v. with $5{\times}10^8$ sheep red blood cells (SRBC) on the 4th day and challenged i.d. with $2{\times}10^9$ SRBC 4 days later. Immune Response for delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH), lympocyte transformation(LTT), hemolysin titer(HL), plaque forming cells (PFC) were measured.

The Late modem society have been changing in so complicated and diverse ways. Each unique parts of both culture and arts are interpenetrating as lowering high of u artistic boundaries lot better communication between environmental contexts in the concept of ‘intertextuality’. Contemporary Interior Design also has freed itself from a conventional boundary of field rather than stay in a single field, which is now shown to attempt a new style of design and expression style connecting itself it to other genre. So in this thesis ‘installation’does not mean a traditional field of arts but for building interior space with environmental area in extended context - place(hyper -reality ), tableau (medium) , transformation (expansion) . Contemporary Interior Design is expanding its range and enhancing its power of expression based on the installating concept and its expression style.

The 13-hydroxyberbine(1), derived from berberinephenolbetaine, has been derivatized to furnish a variety of compounds such as 13-oxoberbine(2), 13-thioberbine(3), 13-chloroberbi ne(4), 13-(2-methylaziridine)berbine(5) and 13-carbolactoneberbine(6). Antitumor activity of these compounds was tested.

The photovoltaic power generation system has a great future as clean energy instead of fossil fuel which has many environmental problems such as exhausted gas or air pollution. In a utility interactive photovoltaic generation system, a three-phase inverter is used for the connection between the photovoltaic array and the utility. This paper presents a three phase inverter for photovoltaic power system with current controller, voltage controller, PLL control system and the phase detector of interactive voltage by using da transformation. The proposed inverter system provides a sinusoidal ac current for domestic loads and the utility line with unity power factor. The results of the operated from January to October show the system characteristics.
