본 연구에서는 게임 배경 제작을 위한 3D 타이포 그래픽 연출에 관한 연구를 제안한다. 게임 배경에 어울리는 타이포그래픽을 연출함으로써 게임에 대한 몰입과 그 게임에 대한 호기심을 유발하며, 그 게임의 특성을 나탄 낸다. 따라서 게임 배경의 타이포 그래픽의 효과가 크다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 게임 CD 타이틀 제작 등의 분야에 응용되며, 타이포 그래픽의 효과를 높인다.

현대에 있어 뮤직비디오는 가수가 노래를 표현하고자 하는 바를 가장 잘 표현해 주는 수단 중 하나라 할 수 있다. 따라서 신곡을 발표하는 가수들은 뮤직비디오를 기본적으로 제공하는데 영상의 비주얼적인 부분뿐만 아니라 노래에 맞는 자막에도 여러 가지 표현을 구사하며 자막을 통한 감정의 표현을 추구하고 있다. 뮤직 비디오에 나타난 키네틱 타이포그래피의 감정표현의 여러 가지 표현 방법들에대해 알아보았다.

바우하우스에 있어서 타이포그래피의 다양한 실험은 인쇄공방을 중심으로 전개되었으며 바이마르 후기에 이르러서 이 공방의 책임자가 된 모홀리-나기는 기능주의적 사고방식으로부터 접근하여 먼저 활자의 개량을 요구하고 이를 바탕으로 비우하우스 통일문자의 제작과 아울러 사진기술을 이용한 영상과 문자를 결합시켜 새로운 형태의 타이포그래피인 다이포 포토를 개발하였다. 또한 모홀리-나기의 이념을 이어받아 합목적적인 조형을 목표로 한 헤르베르트 바이어는 심리학 생리학의 제반법칙에 기초를 둔 다양한 광고제작물을 실현하여 현대 정보광고의 토대를 마련했으며, 바이어의 뒤를 계승한 요스트 슈미트는 기능성에 입각한 레터링, 타이포그래피 교육과 실천에 주력하는 한편 전시 계획에 따른 타이포그래피의 효율적 공간구성으로 디스플레이 디자인 영역을 새롭게 개척했다. 이와 같이 바우하우스 작가들에 의해 시도된 일련의 타이포그래피 실험은 동일한 시대, 같은 지도자에 의해 계승되었슴에도 불구하고 전통과 인습에 얽매이지 않는 창조정신과 다가오는 시대를 예견하는 뛰어난 통찰력, 역동적인 대응방식을 통하여 현대 시각커뮤니케이션의 나아갈 방향을 제시해 주고 있다.

본 연구의 목적은 바젤 스타일에 대한 역사적인 고찰을 통해 20세기 모던 타이포그래피의 전개과정과 그 현재적인 의미를 파악하고자 하는 것이다. 제1장에서는 20세기 초 모던 타이포그래피와 스위스 스타일이 형성되는 배경을 살펴보았고, 제2장에서는 바젤 타이포그래픽 전통이 형성되고 또 극복되어 가는 과정을 고찰하였다. 제3장에서는 바젤 스타일의 현재적 의미를 살펴보고 이 스타일이 디지털 시대의 시각언어와 조형문법을 형성하는데 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 살펴보았다. 이러한 연구를 통해 본 연구자가 고찰하고자 한 것은 그래픽 디자인의 역사가 단지 탁월한 능력과 감각을 지닌 몇 몇 디자인 거장들에 의해 이끌어지거나 사회, 문화적인 맥락과는 상관없이 일시적으로 등장했다가 사라지는 화려한 디자인 스타일들로 이루어지는 것이 아니라 나름대로의 내적인 동력을 가지고 역사적인 진보의 방향에 따라 전개되어온 전문 분야의 역사임을 보여주고자 하는 것이었다.

20세기초 전통적인 타이포그래피의 양식의 틀을 깨고 획기적인 타이포그래피의 표현양식을 창출한 선구적인 타이포그래퍼 들은 기욤 아폴리네르와 필리포 말네티의 작품들은 같은 시대의 같은 문화적 배경에서 태어난 타이포그래피 라고 할지라도 시각적 관점과 표현 유형의 차이가 있음에도 불구하고 그간의 연구들을 통해 볼 때, 동일한 유형, 즉‘회화적 타이포’,‘표현주의 적 타이포’로 간주되어져 왔다. 따라서 아폴리네르와 마리네티의 타이포그래피의 형성 배경과 작품을 비교, 분석하여 현대 타이포그래피 형상에 끼친 영향과 의의를 재조명해 보았다. 구상적 표현과 추상적 표현이라는 큰 차이점 이외에도 타이포그래피 표현 소재와 표현방법, 지면구성, 구문의 파괴, 문장의 해체 여부에서도 특징을 발견하였으며, 1900년대 중반과 후반에 걸쳐 구상적 표현에는 브래버리 탐슨과 허브 루발린으로 추상적 표현에는 피에트 츠바르트와 네빌 브로디로 확실히 구분되어 이어지고 있음을 발견할 수 있었다.

Background: Errors in surgical pathology diagnosis can have serious consequences for the patient. Since the final product of a surgical pathology lab is the report, errors can be picked by reviewing reports of cases. Aim: To determine the frequency and types of error in surgical pathology reports of cases signed out in 2014 in a laboratory in Karachi, Pakistan. Materials and Methods: All surgical pathology reports in which changes were made in the original report after sign out and an amended report was issued were included. Errors included: (1) misinterpretations; (2) missing critical information; (3) erroneous critical information; (4) misidentification; and (5) typographic errors. Results: Errors were identified in 210 cases (0.37%). These comprised 199 formalin fixed specimens and 11 frozen sections. The latter represented 3.8% of a total of 2,170 frozen sections. Of the 11 frozen section errors, 10 were misinterpretations. Of the 199 permanent specimens, 99 (49.7%) were misinterpretations, 65 (32.7%) belonged to missing critical information category, 8 (4%) belonged to erroneous critical information category, 8(4%) were misidentifications, 16(8%) were typographic errors while 3 cases (1.5%) were other errors. Most misinterpretations occurred in the gastro intestinal, liver and pancreato biliary tract (23.2%) and breast (13.1%). Another 87 cases were reviewed on the clinicians' request. However diagnosis after review remained the same as the original diagnosis. In 49 out of these (56.3%), additional workup was performed at the time of the review. Conclusions: Our findings were similar to other published studies. We need to develop documented procedures for timely review of cases to detect errors.

This study analyzed the main bodies, sizes of litters, spaces between letters, Words, lines, length of lines, sizes of main body and margin, Position of the main bodies of PDF(Portable Document Format) in high schools and "the criteria of reading system for the textbooks" which was suggested by the Department of Education and Provided some suggestions for the improvement. First, it is judged that spaces of the main body of textbooks should be shrunken to make the ratio of 50:50 between the main body and space margin. Second, it is judged that the main body should be placed in the center of text page. Third, the results of the above findings showed that it would be difficult to deal with the task of deciding space and position or the main body and marginal space in a form of single project, because there are many variables involved and psychologically complicated elements which can not be measured objectively.

It is found that there are many serious errors in deriving the existing governing equations of motion for a wheel-axle set negotiating an arbitrarily changing radius curve by Vijay K. Garg and Rao V. Dukkipati. Among other things, despite the hypothesis on arbitrarily changing radius of curve, there had been no taking a time derivative of the radius R in the first half of the derivation. Even if the D'lambert force arising from the centrifugal acceleration of vehicle body or bogie was appropriately taken into account while calculating cant deficiency, it is unnecessarily duplicated in the force vectors of governing equations. The graphical model given in Fig. 5.15 is not enough to follow those developed expressions from both physical and structural points of view. Besides, there are some blunders in assigning plus or minus sign not to be regarded as simple typographic ones and similar mistakes are committed in deriving creep force expressions as in the case of a wheel-axle set on a tangent track.

성서의 내용 중에서 청소년들에게 선교용으로 알맞은 성구를 택하여 그 요지를 효과적으로 전달하기 위한 디자인 적 차원에서의 방법을 연구한다. 특히 인물 또는 주제의 표정, 의상, 동작의 reality 와 배경, 환경의 reality를 시대를 다르게 처리함으로써 classic과 contemporary한 것의 조화, 즉 과거 속의 현재, 현재에서의 과거를 초현실적 스타일로 강조하며 성구는 일러스트레이션과 한눈에 들어올 수 있도록 연결 감 있게 배치하여 단독매체로서의 포스터, 카드 등에 적용 가능한 사례를 개발함으로써 선교의 기능을 띤 성화와 성구를 함께 사용한 새로운 스타일의 일러스트레이션을 개발한다.

Of all the six degrees of freedom, the roll motion of a ship is the most poorly understood and displays complicated phenomena. Due to the low potential wave damping at the natural frequency, the effective analysis of ship roll dynamics comes down to the accurate estimation of the viscous roll damping. This paper provides overview of the importance of roll damping and an extensive literature review of the various viscous roll damping prediction methods applied by researchers over the years. The paper also discusses in detail the current state of the art estimation of viscous roll damping for ship shaped structures. A computer code is developed based on this method and its results are compared with experimental data to demonstrate the accuracy of the method. While some of the key references describing this method are not available in English, some others have been found to contain typographic errors. The objective of this paper is to provide a comprehensive summary of the state of the art method in one place for future reference.
