  • To effectively prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections, contact tracing technology based on ICT technology is used and various types exist depending on the way they are tracked. However, these technologies are always exposed to security threats and each type of threat varies. In this paper, we identified processes that occur in common in various types of contact tracing technology and identified possible threats in this process. This resulted in a common evaluation criteria applicable to all types of contact tracing technologies and applied to actual published contact tracing technologies to perform comparative analysis by type. These studies can help select safe and effective contact tracing technologies through comparisons between different types.

  • Manufacturing firms face a paradigm shift from industrial systems driven by efficiency to post-industrial systems where success depends on a quick-response to customer demands for a variety of high-quality products. In essence, time is becoming a critical dimension for competition. New information technologies allow many firms to pursue time-based competitive strategies. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship among the types of information technology, behaviors of suppliers, the structures of new product development processes, and the competitiveness of the firms. The data for this study were collected from 96 Korean manufacturing firms that have implemented certain types of information technologies. Research results from LISREL analysis confirm that the competitiveness comes from product innovation capabilities and innovative product development process. But the linkage between the information technologies and the firms' competitiveness proves to be indirect. Suppliers, organizational culture related to IT, and some other factors also have indirect impact on the competitiveness. A summarized report of other findings is provided as well.

  • The spread of mobile devices comes to increase explosive data traffic and then results in various types of service demands. In order to satisfy the increment of traffic and the requirements for various services, optical internet technologies that transmit several Tbps through only a single optical fiber have been actively studied. Because of the large bandwidth, an optical link can accommodate a large number of service types. Therefore, new technologies are required to guarantee the survivability of optical internet and handle the requirements of each service. So, in this article, a new scheme based on GMPLS technologies is proposed to deal with the various service demands and survivability issues in IP over WDM networks.

  • We The 4th industrial revolution, the core characteristics of super-intelligence, hyper-connective, and ultrareality, has been actualized. New technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, and high-tech video have begun to be applied to media and advertising. With the introduction of new technologies in the advertising field, innovative changes in advertising types, advertising effects, advertising methods, and advertising contents are expected. Accordingly, We intends to design a future advertising roadmap development by predicting how future advertising will change and develop through future technologies in the 4th industrial revolution era. To design the roadmap, this study analyzes changes in advertising technology, consumer, and media as changes in the advertising environment in the 4th industrial revolution era, and identifies the core changing trends, advertising factors in future advertising through the Delphi Survey on experts in advertising and future fields. We identifies how the future advertising technology, types, media, effects, and fields are developed by the changes of future advertising environments, including technology, consumers, and media in the 4th industrial revolution era. Hence it is expected to help the advertising industry and experts to prepare for future changes.

  • A technology roadmap was developed for haptic interface technologies to be applied to games. Haptic interface technologies are expected to play an important role in games to provide gamers with interaction and immersive perception in near future, even though haptic interface technologies have been less studied than other perception-related technologies with respect to games. Information on two types of haptic interfaces - portable and desktop - and their evolution processes were analyzed in terms of technological demands. Haptic feedback technologies to realize these demands were inspected with the time frame and haptic feedback technologies were derived using a technology tree. The technology roadmap of haptic interfaces in game was finally constructed by mapping the technological demands in time with game technology trends. The technology roadmap of haptic interfaces will have implications on developing haptic interfaces to be applied to many applications including virtual realities and games.

  • A comparative analysis of rooftop greening in Korea and Japan was carried out to understand current status of rooftop greening creation and technology and to give directions to frame a policy or plan on rooftop greening in Korea. Besides literature studies, questionnaire survey to Korean and Japanese experts on rooftop greening were done. As results, the annual creation areas, the types and the scales of rooftop greening in Seoul and Tokyo until 2007 were analysed and the satisfaction on the creation areas and technologies, the preference types, the present levels of and the most important parts among policies (support systems), technologies (creation methods), materials, maintenances and user programs for the development or expansion of rooftop greening in Korea and Japan were compared. The creation areas of rooftop greening in Seoul until 2007 was around 15% in Tokyo but the increasing rate of those in Seoul was faster than in Tokyo. Korean needs for the improvement on the rooftop greening systems and technologies were higher than Japanese, but both desired the expansion of rooftop greening areas in both countries. Korean preferred semi-intensive rooftop greening system but Japanese preferred intensive system. Korean and Japanese rooftop greening experts preferred policies (support systems) and technologies (creation methods) for the most important part for the development or expansion of rooftop greening in both countries.

  • Modern cities are exposed to various dangers due to advanced technologies and advanced technologies. As a result, the desire for citizen's safety is increasing day by day, and the sense of insecurity is reaching extreme. In order to respond to the paradigm of the era for safety, the government has stipulated that crisis management manuals are prepared and operated according to the type of disaster. In this research, before preparing and managing crisis management manuals, we classify the types of disasters that can occur in A local authority, establish priorities of types of disasters to be managed with priority, We will try to utilize it as a basic material for the creation and management of.
