링망을 이용한 병렬 멀티캐스트 패킷스위치에서의 멀티캐스트 셀 스케줄링에 관한 연구 (The study on Multicast Cell Scheduling for Parallel Multicast packet switch with Ring Network)

  • 오늘날의 통신서비스들은 음성이나 데이터 서비스와 같은 전통적인 서비스뿐만 아니라 비디오 서비스와 같은 대량의 데이터를 전송해야만 하는 멀티미디어 서비스를 포함한다. 이러한 요구를 수용하기 위해서 BISDN(Broadband Integated Services Digital Network)이 개발되었고 이의 기반 기술로 ATM이 채택되었다. 다양한 멀티미디어 응용들 중에서 VOD(Video On Demand), 화상회의등은 데이터를 동시에 여러 목적지로 보내는 멀티캐스트 특성이 있다. 그러므로 멀티캐스트 능력은 멀티미디어 통신에서 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 링망을 이용한 병렬 멀티캐스트 패킷스위치(Parallel Multicast Packet Switch with Ring Network: PMRN)에서의 분리된 HOL을 이용한 멀티캐스트 셀 스케줄링 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 입력버퍼의 앞단 에 멀티캐스트 셀과 유니캐스트 셀을 위한 분리된 HOL을 두고 non-FIFO방식을 사용함으로서 입력버퍼 내에서 전송 가능한 멀티캐스트 셀과 유니캐스트 셀을 동시에 스케줄링할 수 있도록 하여 입력버퍼 내에서의 지연을 감소시키고 링망과 일대일 연결 네트워크의 이용율을 높이며 스위치의 처리율을 높일 수 있다.

Change points detection for nonstationary multivariate time series

  • In this paper, we develop the two-step procedure that detects and estimates the position of structural changes for multivariate nonstationary time series, either on mean parameters or second-order structures. We first investigate the presence of mean structural change by monitoring data through the aggregated cumulative sum (CUSUM) type statistic, a sequential procedure identifying the likely position of the change point on its trend. If no mean change point is detected, the proposed method proceeds to scan the second-order structural change by modeling the multivariate nonstationary time series with a multivariate locally stationary Wavelet process, allowing the time-localized auto-correlation and cross-dependence. Under this framework, the estimated dynamic spectral matrices derived from the local wavelet periodogram capture the time-evolving scale-specific auto- and cross-dependence features of data. We then monitor the change point from the lower-dimensional approximated space of the spectral matrices over time by applying the dynamic principal component analysis. Different from existing methods requiring prior information on the type of changes between mean and covariance structures as an input for the implementation, the proposed algorithm provides the output indicating the type of change and the estimated location of its occurrence. The performance of the proposed method is demonstrated in simulations and the analysis of two real finance datasets.

  • 인화점은 액체 용액의 폭발과 화재의 위험성을 특징짓는 가장 중요한 성질 중 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 두개의 가연성 이성분계 혼합물인 n-decane + n-octanol계 및 acetic acid + n-butanol계의 인화점을 Tag 개방식 장치를 활용하여 측정하였다. 인화점은 그룹기여모델인 UNIFAC 식과, 최적화기법에 의해 계산되었다. 그리고 측정값과 비교하였다. 두 방법 모두 측정값을 잘 모사하였다.

비정렬 유한체적법을 위한 QUICK법의 수정 (Modification of QUICK Scheme for Unstructured Grid Finite Volume Method)

  • The QUICK scheme for convection terms is modified for unstructured finite volume method by using linear reconstruction technique and validated through the computation of two well defined laminar flows. It uses two upstream grid points and one downstream grid point in approximating the convection terms. The most upstream grid point is generated by considering both the direction of flow and local grid line. Its value is calculated from surrounding grid points by using a linear construction method. Numerical error by the modified QUICK scheme is shown to decrease about 2.5 times faster than first order upwind scheme as grid size decreases. Computations are also carried out to see effects of the skewness and irregularity of grid on numerical solution. All numerical solutions show that the modified QUICK scheme is insensitive to both the skewness and irregularity of grid in terms of the accuracy of solution.

  • To improve the performance at all design points, multi-point optimization method is implemented for the nose fairing shape design of space launcher. The response surface method is used to effectively reduce the huge computational loads during the optimization process. The drag is selected as the objective function, and the surface heat transfer characteristics, and the internal volume of the nose fairing ate considered as design constraints. Full Wavier-Stokes equations are selected as governing equations. Two points drag minimization, and two points drag / heat flux optimization were successfully performed and configurations which have good performance for the wide operation range were derived. By considering three design points, the space launcher shape which undergoes the least drag during whole flight mission was designed. For all the design cases, the constructed response surfaces show good confidence level with only 23 design points with the proper stretching of the design space.

SOLVING SINGULAR NONLINEAR TWO-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS IN THE REPRODUCING KERNEL SPACE

  • In this paper, we present a new method for solving a nonlinear two-point boundary value problem with finitely many singularities. Its exact solution is represented in the form of series in the reproducing kernel space. In the mean time, the n-term approximation $u_n(x)$ to the exact solution u(x) is obtained and is proved to converge to the exact solution. Some numerical examples are studied to demonstrate the accuracy of the present method. Results obtained by the method are compared with the exact solution of each example and are found to be in good agreement with each other.

  • A more reliable algorithm for detecting a high impedance fault (HIF) requires voltage and current at the relaying point containing information of HIF characteristics including buildup/shoulder as well as nonlinearity/asymmetry. This paper presents a modeling method of an HIF in a distribution system. In order to do this, the proposed method uses two series time-varying resistances (TVRs) controlled by Transient Analysis of Control Systems (TACS) in EMTP. One TVR is employed for nonlinearity/asymmetry and then the other TVR for buildup/shoulder. The proposed method is implemented in EMTP and thus the voltage and current at the relaying point can be obtained.

  • The hydrodynamic stability equations for natural convection flows adjacent to a vertical isothermal surface in cold or warm water (Boussinesq or non-Boussinesq situation for density relation), constitute a two-point-boundary-value (eigenvalue) problem, which was solved numerically using the simple shooting and the orthogonal collocation method. This is the first instance in which these stability equations have been solved using a computer code COLSYS, that is based on the orthogonal collocation method, designed to solve accurately two-point-boundary-value problem. Use of the orthogonal collocation method significantly reduces the error propagation which occurs in solving the initial value problem and avoids the inaccuracy of superposition of asymptotic solutions using the conventional technique of simple shooting.

  • Comparing to general scanning data, the 3D digital map for large construction sites and complex buildings consists of millions of points. The large construction site needs to be scanned multiple times by drone photogrammetry or terrestrial laser scanner (TLS) survey. The scanned point cloud data are required to be registrated with high resolution and high point density. Unlike the registration of 2D data, the matrix of translation and rotation are used for registration of 3D point cloud data. Archiving high accuracy with 3D point cloud data is not easy due to 3D Cartesian coordinate system. Therefore, in this study, iterative closest point (ICP) registration method for improve accuracy of 3D digital map was employed by different overlap ratio on 3D digital maps. This study conducted the accuracy test using different overlap ratios of two digital maps from 10% to 100%. The results of the accuracy test presented the optimal overlap ratios for an ICP registration method on digital maps.

  • We investigate the number of the weak periodic solutions for the bifurcation problem of the Hamiltonian system with the superquadratic nonlinearity. We get one theorem which shows the existence of at least two weak periodic solutions for this system. We obtain this result by using variational method, critical point theory induced from the limit relative category theory.
