In this study we propose to use a facial motion capture technique to track facial motions and expressions effectively by using the stereo vision module, which has two CMOS IMAGE SENSORS. In the proposed tracking algorithm, a center point tracking technique and correlation tracking technique, based on neural networks, were used. Experimental results show that the two tracking techniques using stereo vision motion capture are able to track general face expressions at a 95.6% and 99.6% success rate, for 15 frames and 30 frames, respectively. However, the tracking success rates(82.7%,99.1%) of the center point tracking technique was far higher than those(78.7%,92.7%) of the correlation tracking technique, when lips trembled.
The color properties of a white or nearly colorless fabric are represented by whiteness index (WI) or yellowness index (YI). These two indexes relate to a white fabric's color quality. The purpose of this study was to identify the properties of WI and YI on the CIELAB through the simulations of estimation data for a systemization of color quality control. The results indicated that the relationship between WI and YI was a negative correlation, however the coefficients of correlation function between WI and YI were depended on hue. There were two hue transition points of the rate of changes in WI and YI. These hue transition points were the reference points to divide the hue contribution to WI and YI. These points were not the point of h=0 and h=180 and asymmetric. In addition, where the colors were same distance from the white point on the CIELAB, the rate of changes in WI and YI by ${\Delta}$Ew were depending on hue. Specifically, when WI decreased, YI of reddish and yellowish tinted colors decreased more than bluish tinted colors.
PURPOSE. This study compared digital (reference point matching) and replica methods for measuring marginal and internal fit of full coverage restorations. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A maxillary left first molar typodent was fixed on to an aluminum base and prepared to receive all-ceramic full coverage restoration. The model was scanned with an intraoral scanner (CEREC Omnicam, Sirona, York, PA, USA). Twelve crowns were fabricated from lithium disilicate blocks (IPS emax CAD, Ivoclar Vivadent) and then crystalized. Marginal and internal fit of each restoration was measured by two examiners using replica and a new digital three-dimensional technique. Reliability between the two methods and two examiners was assessed by correlation and Cronbach's Alpha coefficient (P<.05). A Bland-Altman assessment for agreement was used to compare the two methods. RESULTS. Bland-Altman assessment showed that the mean of difference for marginal, absolute marginal, and axial gap was respectively -1.04 ㎛, -41.9 ㎛, and -29.53 ㎛ with limit of agreement (LOA) between -37.26 to 35.18 ㎛ for marginal, -105.85 to 22.05 ㎛ for absolute marginal and -80.52 to 22.02 ㎛ for axial gap. Positive correlation for repeatability (P<.05) in determining marginal and internal gaps by the two examiners in both techniques was revealed. Reliability of both techniques in all sites of measurements was at least good (0.8 ≤ α < 0.9). CONCLUSION. Both measuring techniques appeared highly reliable for evaluating fit of fixed dental restorations, while reference point matching provided higher values in axial and absolute marginal gap assessment.

The present study compared the two experimental methods on inquiring the image structure of odors: Presenting a stimulus is one, and not presenting a stimulus is the other. For experiment one, five odors were presented, and the subjects were instructed to evaluate the odors on 7-point scale for each of the 25 adjectives. For experiment two, no odor was presented, and the subjects were instructed to perform the pair-wise comparisons for the each pair of two adjectives on their similarities on 7-point scale. The data from the two experiments were analysed and compared using MDS(Multi-Dimensional Scaling), Correlation, Cluster Analysis. The results showed that there was no structural differences between two experimental methods in term of the Image structure of odors. But, minor disparity was found between two methods in terms of density of distribution of the adjectives. It was construed that the difference came from the difference of the memory that was used for each of the experiments; that is, short term memory for experiment one and long-term memory for experiment two.
The measurements includings 22 items such as height, weight, body width were carried out for Korean male and female students, one hundred each, from 18 to 24 years old. The correlation coefficient was calculated for every two items. The values are basic for the Clothing construction and the Pattern grading. The results are as follows : 1) The measuring values are as shown in Table 1 and the index are as shown in Table 2. 2) The correlation coefficient of length to length is larger than that of length to girth and that of length to width. The correlation coefficient of girth to girth is larger than girth to length and that of girth to width. The correlation coefficient of width to width does not show remarkable difference from those of others. 3) The correlation coefficient values of weight to lengths, weight to lengths, weight to girths and weight to width are larger. Among these, the correlation coefficient of weight to girths is the largest. 4) The correlation coefficient in general shows almost positive values except a few exception showing negative values. 5) No meaning differences are found between males and females.

In this paper, we develop the two-step procedure that detects and estimates the position of structural changes for multivariate nonstationary time series, either on mean parameters or second-order structures. We first investigate the presence of mean structural change by monitoring data through the aggregated cumulative sum (CUSUM) type statistic, a sequential procedure identifying the likely position of the change point on its trend. If no mean change point is detected, the proposed method proceeds to scan the second-order structural change by modeling the multivariate nonstationary time series with a multivariate locally stationary Wavelet process, allowing the time-localized auto-correlation and cross-dependence. Under this framework, the estimated dynamic spectral matrices derived from the local wavelet periodogram capture the time-evolving scale-specific auto- and cross-dependence features of data. We then monitor the change point from the lower-dimensional approximated space of the spectral matrices over time by applying the dynamic principal component analysis. Different from existing methods requiring prior information on the type of changes between mean and covariance structures as an input for the implementation, the proposed algorithm provides the output indicating the type of change and the estimated location of its occurrence. The performance of the proposed method is demonstrated in simulations and the analysis of two real finance datasets.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify relationships among circadian types, sleep quality, and adaptation to night shifts among nurses working on two or three day night duties. Methods: The participants were 199 ward nurses from two university hospitals in Gyeongnam province. Each nurse worked on two or three day night duties. Data were collected between September 24 and October 14, 2012 and analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\grave{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 14.0 program. Results: Mean scores for sleep quality and adaptation to night shifts was $4.92{\pm}1.46$ on a 10-point scale and $2.66{\pm}0.47$ on a 5-point scale respectively. There were no significant differences in sleep quality and adaptation to night shifts according to circadian types of nurses. There were significant correlation between sleep quality and adaptation to night shifts (r=.25, p<.001). Factors affecting adaptation to night shifts were preference for night shifts, and subjective health status, which together explained about 35% of the total variance. Conclusions: Nurses working on two or three day night duties had low level of sleep quality and adaptation to night shifts. It is necessary to improve preference for night shifts and subjective health status for improving adaptation to night shifts of nurse.

Detecting acoustic emission (AE) provides an appropriate method to diagonize on-line transformers, since acoustic signal is not influenced by strong electric field. Then AE versus AE signal processing method is investigated. But this processing is difficult that decision of starting point of AE wave with acoustic noise. This problem is sloved by correlation which calculate time interval between two signals eactly. This paper presents a technique locating the eact position of the partial discharge (PD) in a power transformer by the correlation of the AE signals from two ultrasonic sensors. And PD position is displayed on monitor. Laboratory tests confirmed that the proposed method can be used for locating the PD in power transformer.
Direct numerical simulation database of an axial turbulent boundary layer is used to compute frequency and wave number spectra of the wall shear-stress fluctuations in a low-Reynolds number axial turbulent boundary layer. One-dimensional and two-dimensional power spectra of flow variables are calculated and compared. At low wave numbers and frequencies, the power of streamwise shear stress is larger than that of spanwise shear stress, while the powers of both stresses are almost the same at high wave numbers and frequencies. The frequency/streamwise wave number spectra of the wall flow variables show that large-scale fluctuations to the rms value is largest for the stream wise shear stress, while that of small-scale fluctuations to the rms value is largest for pressure. In the two-point auto-correlations, negative correlation occurs in streamwise separations for pressure, and in span wise correlation for both shear stresses.
