패널형 소음기의 투과손실 특성 연구 (Transmission Loss Characteristics of the Panel Type Silencer)

  • This paper deals with transmission loss characteristics of the panel type silencer to control low frequency noise. The panel type silencer is composed of many Helmholtz resonators by side branch. Each resonator has high transmission loss on the narrow band of its resonance frequency. Direct arrangement of the resonators increases mainly the magnitude of transmission loss. If we arrange the resonators in a row, the peak and band of transmission loss are increased. This makes the resonator array to have high transmission loss in the broader band. Using this idea, we design a silencer that has broader band characteristics and smaller volume.

  • The smart foam that is first proposed by Fuller(2) is not applicable to active noise control in a duct having flow. Thus. this paper presents the ring-type smart foam as an alternative. The ring-type smart foam consists of polyurethane acoustic foam of lining shape and PVDF film embedded along the mid-surface of the foam lining. A feedforward adaptive filtered-x LMS controller is used to minimize the signal from the error microphone. To enlarge quiet sound region. two error microphones are used to update system modeling filter (SIMO method). Sound intensity control using the ring-type smart foam is also discussed

  • This paper describes a part of the results obtained in the process of the development of thin sound isolation sheets filled mineral compound powder with PVC. The raw materials used are pyrophillite, pottery stone and graphite. The physical properties such as the crystal structures, compositions, and specific gravities, etc. of raw materials are analyzed and discussed from a point of view of sound isolation material. From the analysis of experimental results, the particle size and the additive amount of mineral compound powder for manufacturing sample isolation sheets are decided. The resistant capability against fire of sound isolation sheets including mechanical, thermal and physical properties is tested. The transmission loss measuremenst of sound isolation sheets are performed using two-microphone method in an impedance tube. It is shown that the sound isolation capability of thin sheets has an excellent performance in excess of the object of development.

자동차 흡기소음저감을 위한 설계기법에 관한 연구 (The Design Technique for Reducing the Intake Noise of Vehicle (Part II))

  • The intake noise, a major source of vehicle noises, has rapidly become a noticeable, and has been studied to reduce the level. Traditionally, the intake system has been developed through a experiment, namely, the trial and error process. This approach requires very high cost and long time consuming to develop the systm. Recently, FEM and BEM are becoming useful in analysis of the intake system, and the results of analysis are very valid. But because this techniques also require high cost and long analysis time, this technique is generally not practical tool at the early stage of the development. In this study, the software was developed to predict and analyze the acoustic characteristics of the intake system. It was based on the Transfer Matrix Method and operated to analyze a simplified intake system in a personal computer. It can be used early in the design stage of development of the intake system. This study presented a improvement to reduce the level of the intake noise, which modified the specification of the intake system. And the improvement were verified by NIT/SYSNOISE, FE analysis commercial software, and testing a prototype.

다중 주파수 밴드 간섭함수와 스펙트럼 차감법을 이용한 음성 향상 시스템 (Speech enhancement system using the multi-band coherence function and spectral subtraction method)

  • 본 논문은 두 개의 마이크로폰 환경에서 다중 주파수 대역 이득함수와 주파수 차감법을 결합하여 배경잡음을 억제하는 방법을 제안하였다. 다중 주파수 대역 신호대잡음비 추정을 통해 이득 함수를 얻는 음성 향상 방법은 두 채널 간 잡음신호의 상관성이 큰 경우 잡음 제거 성능이 떨어지는 단점을 가지고 있다. 하나의 채널 에서 스펙트럼 차감법을 통해 얻은 이득함수와 간섭함수 기반의 신호대잡음비 추정을 통해서 얻은 이득함수를 결합하여 가중된 이득함수를 사용하는 음성 향상 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 ITU-T(International Telecommunications Union Telecommunication)의 객관적인 품질 평가 방법인 PESQ(Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality) 시험과 스펙트로그램을 사용하여 성능 평가 되어졌고 PESQ시험에서 최대 MOS 0.217의 음질 향상을 얻을 수 있었다.

Sound Absorption Property of Heat-Treated Wood at A Low Temperature and Vacuum Conditions

  • Heat treatment was performed to improve sound absorption properties for four tree species; Tulip tree, Korean Paulownia, Red pine and Costata birch, at temperature of $175^{\circ}C$ and $200^{\circ}C$under vacuum condition. Sound absorption properties of two kinds of boards, which were in radial and tangential sections, were measured under a frequency range of 100 to 3200 Hz by the two microphone transfer function method. It was found that sound absorption properties were increased by heat treatment and the efficiency was higher at $200^{\circ}C$ than that at $175^{\circ}C$. Even Costata birch had a little effect on low temperature of $175^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$ heat treatment for sound absorption property, the efficiencies of sound absorption were 14, 19%, respectively. The efficiencies of sound absorption ranged 22 to 120% for heat-treated Tulip tree, Korean Paulownia.

크로스 스펙트럼 기법을 이용한 저레벨 소음의 측정 (Measurement of low level sound noise using cross spectrum method)

  • 실내 소음의 정확한 측정은 환경소음 관리상에 요구되어 지는 것이나 측정계 자체의 잡음으로 인하여 소음원이 가지는 원래의 잡음이 항상 영향을 받게되는 문제가 있다. 본 연구에서는 새로운 소음레벨 측정기술로서 크로스 스펙트럼법을 사용하여 측정된 신호로부터 측정계가 가지는 잡음을 효과적으로 제거하는 방법을 제안하였다. 두 개의 측정용 마이크로폰으로부터 받아들인 신호는 각각의 전치 증폭기를 통하여 A/D 변환기에 의해 디지털 신호화하여 크로스 스펙트럼을 이 디지털화 된 신호로부터 계산하고 측정계가 가지는 잡음과 소음 원의 잡음은 서로 무상관이므로 우리가 원하는 정확한 소음레벨을 측정할 수 있는 것이다. 제안된 기술의 성과는 염가의 상용 마이크로폰으로도 사용할 수 있었기 때문에 실험적으로 그 유효성과 경제성이 입증되었다.

마이크로폰 어레이를 이용한 회전하는 소음원 가시화에 관한 연구 (Study on Be-Dopplerization Technique for Rotating Source Localization)

  • The use of beamforming method and de-Dopplerization technique was applied in studying the rotating sound sources. Acoustic analysis of a moving sound source required that the measured sound signals be do-Dopplerized and restored as of the original emission signals. Two main issues of the signal reconstruction in time domain are addressed herein: First, to remove Doppler effect from the measured data and to restore the original emission data of the moving source. The difference of the time domain beamforming from the frequency domain beamforming was mentioned. Also, the time domain beamforming method is deployed in the test and the comparisons were made to the frequency domain results. The time domain signal reconstruction was numerically simulated prior to the application. To validate the de-Dopplerization Performance, the rotating Point sources were examined and localized by the use of a phased array of microphone. The application of prop-rotor was conducted in a hovering condition. The results of reconstructing time signals of rotating sources and its locations were shown in the power distribution maps. In the prop-rotor measurements, the acoustic source locations were successfully verified in varying positions for different frequencies of interest.

신호 대 잡음비 추정 방법을 이용한 다중 주파수 밴드 잡음 억제 시스템 (Multi frequency band noise suppression system using signal-to-noise ratio estimation)

  • 본 논문은 밀접한 간격의 두 개의 마이크 배열 환경에서 SNR(Signal-to-Noise Ratio) 추정을 통한 잡음 억제 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 방법은 전 밴드에서 간섭 함수 기반의 SNR 추정을 통해 이득 함수를 얻는 잡음 억제 방법을 사용한다. 그러나 이 방법은 잡음으로 인한 손상이 모든 특징 벡터 성분에 영향을 미쳐 성능을 저하시키는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 주파수 영역의 신호를 N개의 다중 주파수 밴드로 구분하고 각 밴드별로 간섭 함수 기반의 SNR 추정을 통한 이득 함수를 얻는 잡음 억제 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법의 성능평가는 ITU-T(International Telecommunications Union Telecommunication)에서 제공되는 객관적인 품질 평가 방법인 PESQ(Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality)로 비교하여 나타내었다.
