An 1.28 kg, male, thirteen years of age, red-eared slider (Trachemys scripta elegans) was presented with one month history of anorexia, decreased mobility, and swelling and erythema of forelimbs. Hyperuricemia and tophaceous gout such as osteolysis at the digit, carpal and metacarpal bones with radiopaque densities around the lesion were detected. Allopurinol (20 mg/kg, PO, once a day) and u/d (Hill's diet) were selected for treatment and other antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs were not administered. One month after initial presentation, clinical signs and radiographic findings were improved. According to the medical response, the turtle was presumptively diagnosed as articular gout and allopurinol revealed effective response to the articular gout in turtles.
Patterns are symbolic expressions of life style or sentiment of people as a product of culture. Furthermore, it is a type of language that the shape or implication does not change much over time. Patterns shown on the Korean medical containers are related to human life and health that they are not very diverse and splendid but closed used in real life. The medical containers include the alcohol container or tea-ware in broad sense, but under this study, it would be handled only for the Korean medical containers directly used to protect human health and treatment of diseases. They would be the Medicine Mortar and Pestle that is used to grind the herbal medical ingredients, pots that hold the liquid decoction, containers to keep the medical ingredients in general conceptual use for medical purposes. The patterns inscribed are classified in animal pattern, plant pattern or alphabet pattern. Turtle, crane, ginseng, and life patterns have the contemplation to pray for long life without disease or good fortune, while plum pattern, dragon pattern and the like are used in the medical containers used mainly in royal families with the social status and dignity shown. As such, patterns have not only ornament elements but also the symbolic implication to represent long life without illness for human. It provides the basic data of medical wisdom contained in the pattern and willingness of human to protect life from illness. On the basis of such research, it would require ensuing studies to make comparison and analysis with the medical containers with the patterns in the adjacent countries in the days to come.

Objectives : The objective of this study was to research delayed growth with acupuncture and moxibustion treatment. Methods : We search the oriental medical literature related to delayed growth, especially loose skull, pigeon chest(龜胸), turtle back(龜背), five kinds of flaccidity(五軟), five kinds of retardations(五遲) and infantile malnutrition(疳證). Results : 1. Loose skull is treated with moxibustion therapy of CV8(神厥) and two points(1.5cm upper and under of CV8) 2. Pigeon chest(龜胸) is treated with moxibustion therapy of GB38(外丘), ST18(乳根) and 6 points around of STl7(乳中). 3. Turtle back(龜背) is treated with moxibustion therapy of BLl3(肺兪), BL15(心兪) and BLl7(膈兪) 4. Acupuncture therapy of five kinds of flaccidity(五軟) was rare. but there are one case to stimulate Hwatahyeopcheok point using plum-blossom needle. 5. Five kinds of retardations(五遲) is treated with moxibustion therapy of BLl5(心兪) and two point of medial malleolus 6. Infantile malnutrition(疳證) is treated with acupuncture therapy of the spleen channel and stomach. channel, therapy using three-edged needle, cutting therapy(LUlO(魚際) and Sabong), moxibustion therapy(LRl3(章門) and BL2l(胃兪), and Ch'una therapy. Conclusion: We expect that acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of delayed growth will be applied practically in clinical medicine due to further study on delayed growth.

Dolittle is a educational programming language that helps students learning principles and concepts of computer science with programming. Learning programming with robot improve learning achievements robot motivate to be interest with programming. However, Dolittle robot programming is a different from Dolittle programming in process of interpretation and execution mechanism. Therefore, students have virtually to learn two languages to control robot and it would reduce the worth of Dolittle as educational programming language. In order to solve this problem, we tried to Unify Dolittle and robot control language using parser that Dolittle program with turtle object convert robot program. But this try couldn't overcome completely this problem because attributes of turtle object is different from robot. In this research we unified Dolittle programming and Dolittle robot programming as a way of adding new robot object in dolittle standard object group. it would improve educational effect of learning programming with robot in Dolittle.

In order to convert a thesaurus described by a person to ontology, the first step is to translate the thesaurus to the ontology by using SKOS, which is suitable for conversion to ontology and was chose an international standard by W3C. SKOS is suitable for converting thesaurus or subject headings or classification system to ontology, but we need a web language to describe an ontology as RDF/XML. RDF/XML is so difficult to read and write that we can need RDFa embedded in HTML document or Turtle, which is more easily describable and readable. Along with description using SKOS, this research has experimentally constructed the ontology by using ontology construction program $Prot{\acute{e}}g{\acute{e}}$ 4.2. In addition to basic concept relationships of thesaurus like equivalent relationship, hierarchical relationships, association relationships transitive hierarchical relationships are included suggested by SKOS in this research.

This study monitored a variety of marine fish communities in artificial reefs unit of the total 5 types (Dice type, Octagonal turtle type, Two-stage tube type, Gazebo type, Tetrapod type) which are located in the marine ranching at Jeju island by scuba diving in May, July, October and December 2009. Underwater photographing was accomplished at total 3 phases (condition of artificial reefs photographing, concentric circle movement photographing and line transect photographing). The preservation condition of artificial reefs facility was very good, and the dominant species were Chromis notatus, Sebastes thompsoni, Oplegnathus fasciatus and Halichoeres poecilopterus. Fish abundance was high in May and June, and low in October and December, 2009. Chromis notatus was dominant at the all types of artificial reefs, Halichoeres poecilopterus for Gazebo type and Tetrapod type of artificial reefs, and Sebastes thompsoni for Dice type, Octagonal turtle type and Two-stage tube type of artificial reefs.

The red-eared slider (Trachemys scripta elegans) is the one of the most popular pets, and the most commonly traded species in the world. It is designated as an ecosystem disturbance species that has been managed in South Korea. To date, no reports of natural or anthropogenic migration and spreading of T. s. elegans in South Korea are available. In the present study, we estimated the expected route and the movable path of one female T. s. elegans found in Namsan-myun, Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Based on the movable path, the potential destination of the female turtle was estimated to be about 282 m and 468 m away. Therefore, the moving distance of the red-eared slider to the nearest water system will be at least 606 m and at most 792 m. Our results provide the first evidence about the natural migration and spreading of exotic turtles. This study can serve as a basis for the management and countermeasures against the introduced of T. s. elegans and other exotic species in South Korea.
In Korea, software education is implemented from elementary school. As a representative software education tool for elementary schools, various chess games reconstructed based on the rules of Western chess games are being used. On the other hand, Yutnori, one of our traditional games, also includes elements of software education, so research on this is needed. Therefore, in this study, a Yutnori program based on computational thinking using an educational programming language, Entry, and a turtle robot was developed and its validity verified. As a result of the validity verification, the CVR value was higher than 0.7 in the degree of agreement with the subject achievement standard (3 questions), the appropriateness of learning materials (4 questions), and the possibility of class application (3 questions). Therefore, it could be judged that the learning program developed in this study has a high level of agreement with the subject achievement standards, appropriate learning materials, and high possibility of being applied to classes. In order to generalize this content in the future, the effectiveness will need to be verified, and experimental research will be needed to understand this.

Exotic species have been imported for economic purposes, but more recently, an increasing number of animals are imported as pets. With the increasing popularity of two species of turtles, Mauremys sinensis and Pseudemys concinna, the number of pet turtle owners has gradually increased since 2014. The number of turtles increased by 180 in 2017 and 281 in 2019. However, these turtle species have been abandoned to nature, owing to their long lifespans and the changes in conditions of pet owners. The two turtle species have been designated as invasive alien species (AIS) in Korea considering their ecological risks, and the Biological Diversity Act prohibits their release. The owners of Mauremys sinensis and Pseudemys concinna are required to submit the "Application for Approval of Breeding and Grace for AIS" document. In this study, the breeding conditions for the two turtle species were investigated by analyzing the information in the submitted applications for six months (e.g., the suitability of breeding facilities, number of turtles, breeding period, type of pet adoption, and local district of pet owner). A total of 614 cases were analyzed. Because only 58% of breeders provided suitable breeding conditions, breeding information and responsible pet ownership training should be offered to prevent abandonment in natural ecosystems. In addition, continuous monitoring is necessary to prepare for potential problems caused by the lack of information in many applications and the one-off licensing policy.
