The most important things to the tube the of the heat exchanger are the precision of t hole position and the quality of the drill face. Nowadays, 6 and 12 spindle multi-drilling machine controlled by CNC or used to drill holes of the tube sheet. The drilling of 12 axes can offer high speover three times as fast as the drilling of axis. However, the drilling of 12 axes h difficulty in controlling many motors to d spindles and assigning a corresponded numbe accurately to each axis. In the past, conventional method to inspect the code the drilling was machining holes on a thin plate previously which resulted in the productivity because it required a h production cost by machining and weldin time. In this thesis, there are two drilling codes different from CNC code. M code is used to control many motors and S code is used to assign a correspondent number for each axis. For increasing the productivity by removing process, this paper is intended to take simulation of the drill machining c including 6 and 12 axis on the persona computer.

Demagnetization for a tube sample which was made of a galvanized steel sheet was performed by applying a magnetic field with a decrement to remove the remanent magnetization of the material. An orthogonal fluxgate magnetic field sensor was used to measure a magnetic field created from a ferromagnetic material. To evaluate the remanent magnetization, the measured magnetic fields were separated into two magnetic field components by the remnant magnetization and the induced one. The horizontal and the vertical bias fields should be controlled separately during demagnetization to remove the horizontal and the vertical components of the remanent magnetization of the tube sample.
A vision-based tool position estimation system for the inspection and maintenance manipulator working inside the steam generator bowl of nuclear power plants can help human operators ensure that the inspection probe or plug are inserted to the targeted tube. Some previous research proposed a simplified tube position verification system that counts the tubes passed through during the motion and displays only the position of the tool. In this paper, by using a general camera calibration approach, tool orientation is also estimated. In order to reduce the computation time and avoid the parameter bias problem in an ellipse fitting, a small number of edge points are collected around the large section of the ellipse boundary. Experiment results show that the camera calibration parameters, detected ellipses, and estimated tool position are appropriate.
As the operating time of heat exchangers progresses, fouling caused by water-borne deposits and the number of plugged tubes increase and thermal performance decreases. Both fouling and tube plugging are known to interfere with normal flow characteristics and to reduce thermal efficiencies of heat exchangers. The heat exchangers of Korean nuclear power plants have been analyzed in terms of heat transfer rate and overall heat transfer coefficient as a means of heat exchanger management. Except for fouling resulting from the operation of heat exchangers, all the tubes of heat exchangers have been replaced when the number of plugged tubes exceeded the plugging criteria based on design performance sheet. This paper describes a plugging margin evaluation method taking into account the fouling of shell-and-tube heat exchangers. The method can evaluate thermal performance, estimate future fouling variation, and consider current fouling level in the calculation of plugging margin. To identify the effectiveness of the developed method, fouling and plugging margin evaluations were performed at a component cooling heat exchanger in a Korean nuclear power plant.
In this paper, a high efficiency leakage transformer for neon tube is developed to improve its power factor, to reduce its core loss and weight by using a technique of shape optimization and direction of grain-oriented silicon steel sheet. A protection circuit is designed for all types of neon transformer loaded with one or more neon lamps. Whenever the neon tube fails to be started up or comes to the life end, or encounters faults with open-circuits at the output terminals of the neon transformer, the protection circuit will be initiated to avoid more critical hazards. These neon transformers need a protection circuit to prevent from current stresses on circuit components by neon tube fail. The input of the transformer is automatically cut off when the abnormal condition occurs, preventing waste of no-load power. As the results of the study, the core weight is reduced by $11\%$, the power factor improved by $5\%$ and the efficiency increased by $6\%$ compared with the conventional type due to the employment of the grain-oriented steel sl)eel and the optimized core shape.
Among the failure modes which can occur in tube hydroforming such as wrinkling, bursting or buckling, the bursting by local instability under excessive tensile stresses is irrecoverable phenomenon. Thus, the accurate prediction of bursting condition plays an important role in producing the successfully hydroformed part without any defects. As the classical forming limit criteria, strain-based forming limit diagram (FLD) has widely used to predict the failure in sheet metal forming. However, it is known that the FLD is extremely dependant on strain path throughout the forming process. Furthermore, The application of FLD to hydroforming process, where strain path is no longer linear throughout forming process, may lead to misunderstanding for fracture initiation. In this work, stress-based forming limit diagram (FLSD), which is strain path-independent and more general, was applied to prediction of forming limit in tube hydroforming. Combined with the analytical FLSD determined from plastic instability theory, finite element analyses were carried out to find out the state of stresses during hydroforming operation, and then FLSD is utilized as forming limit criterion. In addition, the approach is verified by a series of bulge tests in view of bursting pressure and shows a good agreement. Consequently, it is shown that the approach proposed in this paper will provide a feasible method to satisfy the increasing practical demands for judging the forming severity in hydroforming processes.

In this article, we present a method to measure precisely the performances of direct-lit CCFL backlights using a luminance meter and dedicated image analysis software. The array of CCFL tubes alone can be measured directly and the luminance of each tube can be extracted along its main dimension. So, comparison of the different tubes on the same backlight can be made easily and the performances in terms of backlight uniformity improved. The influence of the diffuser sheet can be probed in the same way and the homogeneity of the entire surface of the backlight can be automatically extracted and quantified.
