동물지리학적 분석결과 한국산 종들의 분포 양상을 보면 Holarctic(9.6%), Transpalearctic(38.4%), Transpalearctic-Oriental(8.2%), Eastern Palearctic(Trans-Far East Asia)-Oriental(4.1%), Eastern Palearctic(17.8%)과 Endemic(21.9%)으로 나타났다. 한국산 뭉툭맵시벌아과는 구북계에서 종들과 고유종의 분포가 많은 것으로 보아 북반구에서 도래한 것으로 여겨진다. 뭉툭맵시벌아과의 가장 오래된 화석종은 Catachora minor Townes, Urotrophon Pusillus Townes 등 2종이다. 뭉툭맵시벌아과의 전세계의 분포는 대륙이동과 거의 유사하게 이루어 졌다고 여겨진다.

한국산 참알락뭉툭맵시벌 족을 재고찰한 결과 3 종의 기존종이 확인되었으며, 한국 미기록종인 Cteniscus quadri eps Uchida, SMicroplectrus erosus holmgren 과 Smicroplectrus quinquceinctus GRavenhorst 등 3종이 추가되어 한국산 참알락뭉툭맵시벌 족은 총 6종이 보고된다.

한국산 자루맵시벌 족을 재고찰한 결과 9종의 기존종이 확인되었으며, 연구결과 한국 미기록종인 Netelia (Bessobates( kiuhabona Uchida, Netelia (Netelia) laevis Cameron 2 종 및 1 신종인 Netelia (Bessobates) corrensis, n.sp 가 추가됨으로서 한국산 자루맵시벌 족에는 총 12종이 보고된다.

한국산 자루맵시벌속(Genus Netelia Gray)의 12개 아속 중 하나 인, 애자루맵시벌아속의 분류학적 연구를 수행하였으며, 그 결과로 1미기록종[Netelia (Parabates) nigricarpus (Thomson, 1888) (검은점애자루맵시벌: 신칭)]을 국내에 처음 보고한다. 애자루맵시벌아속의 3종에 대한 식별 형질과 외형 사진을 제공한다.

A new species, Monoblastus forsythia sp. nov. is described from South Korea. All specimens of this new species were collected on Forsythia koreana (Nakai). A taxonomic study of South Korean Monoblastus was initiated by Uchida in 1930, and until now four species have been recorded from South Korea. The genus Monoblastus is a Holarctic genus with 31 described species, 14 species are Nearctic, seven are Western Palaearctic region, and nine species occur in Eastern Palaearctic region. In the study, I provide description and photos of both sexes of this new species. Also, modified key to species of the South Korean Monoblastus is provided.
