태권도 발차기 동작 시 숙련도에 따른 체간과 하지근육의 근 활성도 비교 (Comparison of Trunk and Lower Limb Muscle Activities on Kicking Motion in Elite and Non-elite Taekwondo Athletes)

  • 이 연구는 태권도학과 시범단 8명과 일반학생 8명을 대상자로 선정을 하여 태권도 발차기 동작 시 숙련도에 따른 체간과 하지근육의 근 활성도 비교를 목적으로 실시되었다. 태권도 앞차기, 돌개차기, 뒤후려차기 동작 시 이용되는 주요근육을 표면근전도를 이용하여, 무릎을 들어올리는 동작(P1)과 발을 차는 동작(P2)구간별로 근 활성도를 비교분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 앞차기 동작 시에는 비숙련자들은 체간의 하부복직근의 활성도와 차는발의 대퇴이두근 및 지지발의 내측광근 및 외측비복근의 활성도가 숙련자보다 높고, 허리세움근 2개의 근활성도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 돌개차기(턴차기) 동작 시 회전동작에서는 숙련자들의 대퇴이두근과 척추근의 활성도가 비숙련자보다 높고, 차는동작에서는 하지 근 활성도는 대퇴이두근의 활성도가 높게 나타났다. 뒤후려차기 동작 시 비숙련자들의 차는발 외측비복근과 지지발의 대퇴근육 3개의 근 활성도가 숙련자보다 높게 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면, 숙련자들은 회전동작에서 체간을 사용하며 빠르게 회전하고 차는 발의 근 활성도가 높지 않지만, 비숙련자들은 차는발과 지지발에 근 활성도가 높게 나타났으며, 이는 차는 동작에서 균형을 유지하기 위하여 체간근육보다는 하지에 힘이 들어가 비효율적인 동작을 하는 것으로 나타났다.

일어서기 동작시 편마비 환자의 보행 속도에 따른 체간과 하지 근 활성 형태의 비대칭성에 관한 연구 (Study on Asymmetrical EMG Activation Pattern of Selected Trunk and Thigh Muscles on Gait Velocity of Individuals With Post-Stroke Hemiparesis During Sit-to-Stand Movement)

  • This study aimed to identify the asymmetry observed in the electromyography (EMG) activity patterns of selected trunk and thigh muscles between the affected and unaffected sides during the sit-to-stand movement in ambulatory patients with post-stroke hemiparesis. This study included 20 patients with post-stroke hemiparesis. The differences between stroke fast walkers (${\geq}8m/s$, 11 subjects) and stroke slow walkers (<8 m/s, 9 subjects) were compared. The activation magnitude and onset time of the multifidus, lumbar erector spinae, hamstrings, and quadriceps during the sit-to-stand movement were recorded through surface EMG. Moreover, the EMG activation magnitude and onset time ratios of each bilateral corresponding muscle from the trunk and leg were measured by dividing the relevant values of the unaffected side by those of the affected side. In all the subjects, the activation magnitudes of the multifidus, hamstring, and quadriceps on the affected side significantly decreased compared to those on the unaffected side (p<.05). The onset time of muscle activity in the affected side was markedly delayed for the multifidus and quadriceps during the task (p<.05). The activation magnitude ratios of the quadriceps were markedly decreased in the stroke slow walkers as compared to those in the stroke fast walkers. These findings indicate that the asymmetry in the multifidus, hamstring, and quadriceps muscle activation patterns in patients with post-stroke hemiparesis may be due to the excessive muscle activation in the unaffected side to compensate for the weakened muscle activity in the affected side. Our findings may provide researchers and clinicians with information that can be useful in rehabilitation therapy.

상의 구성을 위한 노년기 남성의 체형 분류 (A Study on Classification of Bodytype of Elderly Males for Upper Garments Construction)

  • The purpose of this study is to collect data for he improvement of the accuracy of upper garments construction of the old whose bodies have been changed due to their age. In this study the body measurements with 61 items were taken from 226 men(aged fro m 60 to 80) living in Seoul by the R. Martin's method in 1992. The data were calculate by computer and analyzed by the multivariate method, especially factor and cluster analysis. The results of the study were as follows; 1. The average stature of elderly males was 163.6cm, chest circumference 91.6cm, waist circumference 9\\85.5cm. hip circumference 92.8cm, neck circumference 37cm, arm length 55.4 cm, back length 42.6cm, shoulder breadth 42.9cm and the Roher's Index 1.39, which was a standard body shape. 2. The items of factor analysis were explained to seven, namely, the degree of fatness of the upper body, the size of the frame of body, the length of the upper body, the degree of curve of the front body, the size of shoulder, the shape of the back, and the slope of shoulder. 3. The body types of subjects were classified into four types. The majority was type 4, which was 67% of subjects and considered as balanced body type. The distinctive features of those types are as follows; Type 1. The subjects of this type had a slight skeletal structure and were the thinnest of all the subjects with thin and forward-bent arm. Type 2. The subjects of this type were the tallest of all the subjects. they had the straightest side of body and a well-developed upper arm. The thigh length of this type was longer than the length of trunk. Type. 3. The subjects of this type was only one, so ti could be excluded. Type 4. The subjects of this type had a long trunk, well-developed shoulder, and a crook in their neck and back. The arm length and thigh of this type were short and those circumferences were thick. Type 5. The subjects of this type were the shortest of all, but had the highest degree of fatness in the waist and abdominal. They had well-developed front muscles of body and projected hip.

Bio-mechanical Analysis of the Grapevine Cluster Thinning Task using Working Chair

  • Objective: This study examined the effects of working chair that was developed for farmers who work in grapevine's cluster thinning. Background: Agricultural work involves some of the nation's highest occupational risk exposures. Fruit cultivation has been recognized as one of the most hazardous crops in which to work. Grapevine cluster thinning task involve activities related to the main risk factors associated with upper limb work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Method: An experiment was designed to test the working chair. Six healthy male($25.8{\pm}4.9years$) were selected as the subjects for this study. Electromyography(EMG) was used to monitor the muscles activity, and Electro-goniometer was used to measure the ranges of motions of the elbow, trunk and knee. Subjective test was also carried out to examine discomfort body parts and their pain intensity. A grapevine's working space was built for the experiment and working chair was installed on it. In order to examine the muscle activity and range of motion, subjects used to the working chair for 30 minutes for each experimental condition. Another test without working chair was also performed for comparison. %MVC was used to quantify the level of muscle activity. Results: Decreases of muscle activity was found in all leg muscles and significant decrease of muscle activity was found in left Gastrocnemius. The range of motion of the trunk and knee also decreased when working chair used. Discomfort in lower back, thigh and shank region were reduced significantly. However, in upper limbs muscle activity tended to increase in working chair compared with conventional task. Conclusion: Improvement for cushion in seat back and pan required to reduce discomfort in buttocks. Application: Overall findings verified that the working chair might help to prevent upper limb and lower back MSDs based on the current study. These results can be practically used for work improvement for the grapevine growers to prevent MSDs.

근육의 힘이 신체 각 부분의 가속도에 미치는 영향 (Muscle-Induced Accelerations of Body Segments)

  • 본 연구에서는 근육수축에 의해 발생되는 각 신체부분의 각가속도의 방향이 다음 두가지 요소의 변화에 따라 어떻게 달라지는가를 중점적으로 살펴보기로 한다` (1) 신체매개변수(body-segmental parameter): 길이, 무게 등, (2) 신체 각 부분의 위치. 이러한 상관관계를 더욱 명확히 이해함으로써, 주어진 운동(given task)을 FES 에 의해 수행하고자 할 때 전기적으로 자극되어야 할 근육을 사전에 선택할 수 있을 것이다.

The Effect of the Active Release Technique on Balance and Functional Movement in Youth Basketball Players

  • Background: This study was conducted to apply active release techniques to male youth basketball players to help improve physical development and damage prevention and improve performance through improved balance and functional movement. Design: Randomized control trial. Methods: The subjects included 33 youth basketball players who were randomly assigned to the experimental group (n=17) and the control group (n=16). For the experimental group, the active release technique was applied to the hip muscles, calf muscles, posterior thigh muscles based on the distribution of injuries surveyed in youth basketball players in the Korean Basksetball League. The Y-balance test and the functional reach test (FRT) were used to assess balance and the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) was used to assess functional movement. Interventions were conducted twice a week for 4 weeks at 40 minutes per session. The experimental group was the active release technique group, and static stretching, a common exercise therapy technique, and self-myofascial release using a foam roller were applied for 20 minutes. The control group received general exercise therapy and placebo active release technique. The placebo active release technique applies pressure only. results:The experimental group showed a greater improvement in balance, as evidenced by the FRT, compared to the control group, which received general exercise treatment. However, there was no statistically significant difference in improvement between the 2 groups. In the case of the experimental group, the difference in the Y balance test before and after the intervention was larger than that of the control group, but there was no statistically significant difference. Significant improvement was found in functional movement, as evidence by the FMS, for the trunk stability test (p < 0.05), in-line lunge test (p < 0.05), rotational stability test (p < 0.05), total score (p < 0.05). Conclusion: In this study, the active release technique improved the balance and functional movement of young basketball players more than general exercise therapy. The application of the active release technique is therefore expected to assist in physical development, prevent damage, and improve the performance of youth basketball players.

건강한 성인의 슬개건 반사 시 무릎 감쇠효과를 고려한 대퇴사두근의 근력 및 근활성도 예측 (Identification of Muscle Forces and Activation of Quadriceps Femoris Muscles of Healthy Adults Considering Knee Damping Effects during Patellar Tendon Reflex)

  • 인체 해석모델은 주로 인간이 의식적으로 행하는 운동을 중심으로 발전해 왔다. 의식적 운동과 달리 슬개건 반사는 뇌를 거치지 않고 일어난다. 본 연구는 건강한 성인의 슬개건 반사로 인한 대퇴부의 근력과 근활성도를 해석적으로 예측하고자 하였다. 해석 모델은 시상면에서 평면운동을 하고, 앉은 자세에서 상체와 허벅지를 고정시켜 종아리만 진자 운동이 가능하도록 모델링 하였다. 무릎은 레볼루트 조인트로 모델링 하였고, 발목관절은 고정시켜 종아리와 발을 하나의 강체로 가정하였다. 근력은 Mamizuka 의 실험 결과로부터 얻은 운동학 정보를 이용하여 역동역학 해석을 통해 구하였으며, 근활성도는 Hill-type 근육 모델을 이용하여 예측하였다. 해석 결과는 실험결과를 통해 검증되었다.
