  • The domestic 30AFs that are currently being produced show many problems due to different instantaneous trip characteristics in case of short-circuit. The troubles may cause explosion by excessive short-circuit capacities and arc emission, which results in a wide range of blackout. The function and safety of the low voltage circuit breakers installed before the end load are very important. This paper presents an idea on the safety improvement of the low voltage circuit-breakers through the analysis of instantaneous trip characteristics of domestic 30AF circuit-breakers.

  • As IEC 61850 based substation automation technology is emerging globally, there are many efforts to implement and apply this IEC 61850 standard to substation automation area. IEC 61850 based substation supports ethernet network, standard data model and SCL(substation Configuration Language), etc. These features can provide enough environment to make applied technology which can substitute the legacy relay trip logic configuration method(PLC or Local area reconstruction) to XML based configuration method. This paper suggests new IED trip logic configuration method. The XML based trip logic configuration method can be established using SCL technology And IED trip logic reconfiguration from remote center can be possible under ethernet based technology

  • The cyclic hardening behavior of transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) steels shows tension-compression asymmetry known to be attributed to transformation of retained austenite into martensite during deformation. In this work, YoshidaUemori hardening model was used to represent the asymmetric hardening behavior of TRIP1180 steel. Yoshida-Uemori hardening model parameters were obtained from three sets of data: tension-compression, compression-tension, and a combination of the two. Material models were validated for U-bending and springback.

  • PSA(Probabilistic Safety Assessment) methodology is widely used on assessing the safety of Nuclear Power Plants(NPPs) quantitatively in the domestic nuclear field. Initiating event frequencies are absolutely needed to conduct PSA, and they considerably affect PSA results. There is no domestic database where domestic trip event cases are reflected, so they are used to assess the safety of NPPs that are from the foreign database. In this paper, operating experience data from the Korean NPPs was collected and analyzed for the trip event cases, which are necessary to determine the initiating events and their frequencies. Korean NPPs have experienced five of 16 initiating events, which we LOFW. LOCV, LOCCW, LOOP and GTRN as a result of analyzing the trip event cases. Initiating frequencies based on the domestic trip event cases are analyzed, and they are similar to that from the foreign database.

  • 음극전기분해법을 이용하여 고강도 DP강과 TRIP강에 수소를 강제 주입시켜, 시험편 내 수소량을 정량적으로 분석하였고, 표면하 미소경도분포 측정과 소형펀치시험 및 파단면 관찰을 통하여 수소주입량에 따른 고강도 박강판재의 수소침투 및 수소취화거동을 평가하고자 하였다. DP강은 강도가 클수록 높은 수소량으로 조사되었고, TRIP강은 DP강에 비해 주입된 수소량이 적은 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 미소경도분포 및 소형펀치시험에서도 DP강은 TRIP강에 비해 수소취성에 민감성이 높은 것으로 평가되었다.

Evaluations of Museum Recommender System Based on Different Visitor Trip Times

  • The recommendation system applied in museums has been widely adopted owing to its advanced technology. However, it is unclear which recommendation is suitable for indoor museum guidance. This study evaluated a recommender system based on social-filtering and statistical methods applied to actual museum databases. We evaluated both methods using two different datasets. Statistical methods use collective data, whereas social methods use individual data. The results showed that both methods could provide significantly better results than random methods. However, we found that the trip time length and the dataset's sizes affect the performance of both methods. The social-filtering method provides better performance for long trip periods and includes more complex calculations, whereas the statistical method provides better performance for short trip periods. The critical points are defined to indicate the trip time for which the performances of both methods are equal.

  • It has been widely reported that carbide-free bainitic steels or super-bainite WP (SB-TRIP) steels for the automotive industry are a new family of steels offering a unique combination of high strength and ductility. Hence, it is important to exactly evaluate the volume fraction of RA and to identify the 3-D morphology of constituent phases, because it plays a crucial role in mechanical properties. Recently, as electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD) equipped with focused ion beam (FIB) has been developed, 3-D EBSD technique for materials science are used to these steels. Moreover, newly developed atom probe tomography (APT) technique can provide the exact distribution and chemical concentration of alloying elements in a sub-nm scale. The APT analysis results indicate exactly the distribution and composition of alloying elements in the austenite and bainite phases of SB-TRIP steels with the atomic-scale resolution. And thus, no partitioning of aluminum and manganese atoms was showed between the austenite containing $7.73{\pm}0.39$ at% C and the bainitic ferrite associated with $0.22{\pm}0.06$ at% C in the SB-TRIP steel.

A Genetic Algorithm for Trip Distribution and Traffic Assignment from Traffic Counts in a Stochastic User Equilibrium

  • A network model and a Genetic Algorithm (GA) is proposed to solve the simultaneous estimation of the trip distribution and traffic assignment from traffic counts in the congested networks in a logit-based Stochastic User Equilibrium (SUE). The model is formulated as a problem of minimizing a non-linear objective function with the linear constraints. In the model, the flow-conservation constraints are utilized to restrict the solution space and to force the link flows become consistent to the traffic counts. The objective of the model is to minimize the discrepancies between two sets of link flows. One is the set of link flows satisfying the constraints of flow-conservation, trip production from origin, trip attraction to destination and traffic counts at observed links. The other is the set of link flows those are estimated through the trip distribution and traffic assignment using the path flow estimator in the logit-based SUE. In the proposed GA, a chromosome is defined as a real vector representing a set of Origin-Destination Matrix (ODM), link flows and route-choice dispersion coefficient. Each chromosome is evaluated by the corresponding discrepancies. The population of the chromosome is evolved by the concurrent simplex crossover and random mutation. To maintain the feasibility of solutions, a bounded vector shipment technique is used during the crossover and mutation.

Effect of Chemical Composition on Tensile Property in TRIP-assisted Multiphase Steel for Automobile Structure (차량구조용 변태유기소성(TRIP)형 복합조직강의 인장성질에 미치는 화학조성의 영향)

  • The effect of chemical composition on the microstructural change and tensile property in TRIP-assisted steels with different chemical composition was investigated by using SEM, TEM, XRD and UTM. As a result of microscopic observation, the morphology of retained austenite could be identified as two types : a granular type in a steel containing higher sillicon and a film type in a steel having higher carbon. For the case of higher carbon-containing steel with a tensile strength of 860 MPa and a total elongation of 38%, film-typed retained austenite could be observed between lath bainitic ferrite. Actually, metastable retained austenite was a requisite for the good formability, which means that chemical composition plays a significant role in the microstructure and tensile property of TRIP-assisted steels. With respect to tensile property, the steels containing suitable silicon and manganese, respectively, showed a typical TRIP effect in stress-strain curve, while a steel containing higher manganese content exhibited the assimilar behavior shown in dual phase steel.

Side Impact Analysis of an Auto-body with 60TRIP Steel for Side Members (60TRIP강을 적용한 차체의 측면충돌 해석)

  • The side impact behavior has been investigated when the high strength steel 60TRIP(Transformation Induced Plasticity) is replaced for the conventional low-carbon steel for weight reduction of an auto-body. The side impact analysis was carried out as specified in US-SINCAP with the center pillar and the side sill of the conventional steel or 60TRIP. For accurate impact analyses, the dynamic material properties are adopted with the Johnson-Cook model. The analysis results demonstrate that the penetration of the side members is remarkably reduced when 60TRIP is employed for the center pillar and the side sill replacing the conventional steel. The crashworthiness in the side impact is considerably improved with less penetration of the side members and less acceleration of the opposite floor.
