The current limiting characteristics of the flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) using series connected two coils with twice triggering operation, which consists of series connected two coils and two superconducting (SC) modules with the inserting resistance, was analyzed. The feature of the suggested SFCL is that it can limit the fault current by triggering either one SC module or two SC modules comprising the SFCL depending on the amplitude of the fault current. To verify the current limiting operation of the suggested SFCL, the short-circuits in the fault location with the different fault currents were tested and its useful operations were described through the analysis on the tested results.
This study focused on how to analyze the ICT policy formation process using social big data. Specifically, in this study, a method for quantifying variables that influenced policy formation using the concept of a policy triggering mechanism and elements necessary to present the analysis results were proposed. For the analysis of the ICT policy triggering mechanism, variables such as 'Scope', 'Duration', 'Interactivity', 'Diversity', 'Attention', 'Preference', 'Transmutability' were proposed. In addition, 'interpretation of results according to data level', 'presentation of differences between collection and analysis time points', and 'setting of garbage level' were suggested as elements necessary to present the analysis results.

Objective: The study aimed to investigate the efficacy of intrauterine instillation of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) on the day of ovulation triggering or oocyte retrieval in infertile women with a thin endometrium. Methods: Fifty women whose endometrial thickness (EMT) was ${\leq}8mm$ at the time of triggering during at least one previous in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle and an index IVF cycle were selected. On the day of triggering (n = 12) or oocyte retrieval (n = 38), $300{\mu}g$ of G-CSF was instilled into the uterine cavity. Results: In the 50 index IVF cycles, the mean EMT was $7.2{\pm}0.6mm$ on the triggering day and increased to $8.5{\pm}1.5mm$ on the embryo transfer day (p< 0.001). The overall clinical pregnancy rate was 22.0%, the implantation rate was 15.9%, and the ongoing pregnancy rate was 20%. The clinical pregnancy rate (41.7% vs. 15.8%), the implantation rate (26.7% vs. 11.7%), and the ongoing pregnancy rate (41.7% vs. 13.2%) were higher when G-CSF was instilled on the triggering day than when it was instilled on the retrieval day, although this tendency was likewise not statistically significant. Aspects of the stimulation process and mean changes in EMT were similar in women who became pregnant and women who did not. Conclusion: Intrauterine instillation of G-CSF enhanced endometrial development and resulted in an acceptable pregnancy rate. Instillation of G-CSF on the triggering day showed better outcomes. G-CSF instillation should be considered as a strategy for inducing endometrial growth and good pregnancy results in infertile women with a thin endometrium.

This study focused on nonlinear effective stress site response analysis using two coupled constitutive models, that is, the DM model (Dafalias and Manzari 2004), which incorporated a simple plasticity sand model accounting for fabric change effects, and the PMDY03 model (Khosravifar et al. 2018), that is, a 3D model for earthquake-induced liquefaction triggering and postliquefaction response. A detailed parametric study was conducted to validate the effectiveness of nonlinear site response analysis and porewater pressure (PWP) generation through a true coupled formulation for assessing the initiation of liquefaction at ground level. The coupled models demonstrated accurate prediction of liquefaction triggering, which was in line with established empirical liquefaction triggering relations in published databases. Several limitations were identified in the evaluation of liquefaction using the cyclic stress method, despite its widespread implementation for calculating liquefaction triggering. Variations in shear stiffness, represented by changes in shear wave velocity (Vs1), exerted the most significant influence on site response. The study further indicated that substantial differences in response spectra between nonlinear total stress and nonlinear effective stress analyses primarily occurred when liquefaction was triggered or on the verge of being triggered, as shown by excess PWP ratios approaching unity. These differences diminished when liquefaction occurred towards the later stages of intense shaking. The soil response was predominantly influenced by the higher stiffness values present prior to liquefaction. A key contribution of this study was to validate the criteria used to assess the triggering of level-ground liquefaction using true coupled effective-stress constitutive models, while also confirming the reliability of numerical approximations including the PDMY03 and DM models. These models effectively captured the principal characteristics of liquefaction observed in field tests and laboratory experiments.
Objective : Spontaneous intracranial hemorrhage is a life-threatening disease, and non-lesional spontaneous intraparenchymal hemorrhage (nIPH) and aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) are the leading causes of spontaneous intracranial hemorrhage. Only a few studies have assessed the association between prior physical activity or triggering events and the occurrence of nIPH or aSAH. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of specific physical activities and triggering events in the occurrence of nIPH and aSAH. Methods : We retrospectively reviewed 824 consecutive patients with spontaneous intracranial hemorrhage between January 2010 and December 2018. Among the 824 patients, 132 patients were excluded due to insufficient clinical data and other etiologies of spontaneous intracranial hemorrhage. The medical records of 692 patients were reviewed, and the following parameters were assessed : age, sex, history of hypertension, smoking, history of stroke, use of antiplatelet or anticoagulation agents, season and time of onset, physical activities performed according to the metabolic equivalents, and triggering event at onset. Events that suddenly raised the blood pressure such as sudden postural changes, defecation or urination, sexual intercourse, unexpected emotional stress, sauna bath, and medical examination were defined as triggering events. These clinical data were compared between the nIPH and aSAH groups. Results : Both nIPH and aSAH most commonly occurred during non-strenuous physical activity, and there was no significant difference between the two groups (p=0.524). Thirty-two patients (6.6%) in the nIPH group and 39 patients (8.1%) in the aSAH group experienced triggering events at onset, and there was a significant difference between the two groups (p=0.034). The most common triggering events were defecation or urination in both groups. Conclusion : Specific physical activity dose no affect the incidence of nIPH and aSAH. The relationship between the occurrence of intracranial hemorrhage and triggering events is higher in aSAH than nIPH.

This paper presents the new structural Low voltage LVTSCR and TWSCR ESD protection circuit. The proposed ESD protection circuit has lower triggering voltage than conventional circuits. And the LVTSCR has the triggering voltage of 9V, current of 7mA and can pass below 0.8KV (150mA/um). The triggering voltage of the Triple-well SCR measured to 6V and the current is 40mA. By the substrate and gate bias, the triggering voltage is lowered down to $4{\sim}5.5V$.

When the accident occurred in power distribution system, it needs to control efficiently the fault current according to the fault angle and location. The flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiters (SFCL) can quickly limit when the short circuit accidents occurred and be made the resistance after the fault current. The flux-lock type SFCL has a single triggering element, detects and limits the fault current at the same time regardless of the size of the fault current. However, it has a disadvantage that broken the superconductor element. If the flux-lock type SFCL has separated structure of the triggering element and the limiting element, when large fault current occurs, it can reduce the burden of power and control fault current to adjust impedance. In this paper, this system is composed by triggering element and limiting element to analyze operation of limiting current. When the fault current occurs, we analyzed the limiting and operating current characteristics of the two triggering current level, and the compensation characteristics of bus-voltage sag according to the fault angle and location.

By incorporating a 966nm near infrared laser, we demonstrated bidirectional current triggering of between 0 and 10mA in a two-terminal planar device based on a highly resistive vanadium dioxide ($VO_2$) thin film grown by a pulsed laser deposition method. A two-terminal planar device, which had an electrode separation of $100{\mu}m$ and a $50{\mu}m-wide$$VO_2$ conducting layer, was fabricated through ion beam-assisted milling and photolithographic techniques. A bias voltage range for stable bidirectional current triggering was determined by investigating the current-voltage curves of the $VO_2-based$ device in a current-controlled mode. Bidirectional current triggering of up to 10mA was realized by directly illuminating the $VO_2$ film with a focused infrared laser beam, and the transient responses of triggered currents were analyzed when the laser was modulated at various pulse widths and repetition rates. A switching contrast between off- and on-state currents was evaluated as ~3571, and the rising and falling times were measured as ~40 and ~20ms, respectively.

While most switching devices are based on PN junctions, a single layer can realize a switching device in the case of vanadium dioxide($VO_2$) thin films. In this paper, bidirectional current triggering(switching) is demonstrated in a two-terminal planar device based on a $VO_2$ thin film by illuminating the film with an infrared laser at 1550nm. To begin with, a two-terminal planar device, which had a $30{\mu}m$-wide $VO_2$ conducting layer and an electrode separation of $10{\mu}m$, was fabricated. A specific bias voltage range for stable bidirectional laser triggering was experimentally obtained by measuring the current-voltage characteristics of the fabricated device in a current-controlled mode. Then, by constructing a test circuit composed of the device, a standard resistor, and a DC voltage source, connected in series, the transient response of laser-triggered current and its response time were investigated with a DC bias voltage, included in the above specific bias voltage range, applied to the device. In the test circuit with a DC voltage source of 3.35V and a $10{\Omega}$ resistor, bidirectional laser triggering could be realized with a maximum on-state current of 15mA and a switching contrast of ~78.95.
