As a result, a safety education has a high correlation with an experience of injured and treatment of safety, Cooking department has highest occurrence of accident than any other departments. Workers with an experience of five to ten years have most lowest treatment of safety, aid of safety education, safety feeling of their working environment, so peer attention must be put on these people to reduce accidents.accidents.

  • Tremor is a rhythmic, involuntary muscular contraction characterized by oscillations (to-and-fro movements) of a part of the body. Essential tremor is a 6-8 Hz tremor that is of variable amplitude. It is aggravated by posture and movement and relieved by rest and alcohol. Most affected part are the arms, head and vocal apparatus. The purpose of this study is to show a case of tremor patient with essential tremor improved by oriental medical treatment. The patient was 71-year-old woman who featured essential tremor and at the same time complained general body weakness, nausea, and anorexia. She was treated by oriental medicine with acupuncture, herb medication, and Korean psychotherapy; Eejeong-byunki, Jiun-goron. The features of essential tremor was reduced after taking oriental medical therapy. This result suggested that the oriental medical therapy can be effective for treating essential tremor.

  • Bertolotti's syndrome (BS) is a disease that should be differentiated from low back pain (LBP) in young patients. BS shows an anatomical abnormality in which elongated transverse processes of the last lumbar vertebra articulate or fuse with varying degrees to the sacrum or ilium according to radiologic findings, which is associated with the clinical feature of LBP or radiating pain. In this case report, we describe various clinical features such as a waddling gait with severe foot and triceps surae muscle pain, in addition to the typical symptom of BS such as LBP. We report the various clinical symptoms and treatment progress in this case and review the literature.

  • Postoperative atlantoaxial rotatory subluxation (AARS) is a rare complication that develops almost exclusively in children following oropharyngeal and otologic surgeries, proposing that oropharyngeal inflammatory responses and excessive head rotation are responsible factors. However, there have been no reports of AARS after excision of a nevus on the head and neck. Here, we present two cases of AARS following limited head rotation during simple nevus excision. Patient 1, a 9-year-old girl, complained of neck pain and limited range of motion after excision of the nevus on the neck. After 2 months, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging finally revealed AARS with a ruptured transverse atlantal ligament. A month of halo traction was required for the treatment. Patient 2, an 11-year-old girl, presented with immediate pain and limited neck extension after tissue expander insertion under the upper chest and excision of the nevus on her left cheek. The diagnosis was promptly made using cervical spine radiography. A cervical collar was applied for 1 month. Both patients recovered without any complications after treatment. This report highlights the importance of suspicion for AARS after surgery regardless of surgical duration or amount of head rotation.

  • Purpose: This study investigated the effects of chest physiotherapies on intensive care unit patients mechanical ventilated. Methods: Good lung down position, chest percussion, postural drainage was applied to patients who admitted to ICU. Each patients divided into four groups and each group received different treatments. Sputum amount, lung compliance, tidal volume and oxygen saturation were measured before treatment and immediately, and time flowing. Data was analyzed with frequency, percentage, ANOVA and paired t-test using via SPSSWIN 12.0 program. Results: There were significant differences in variables each characteristics of subjects. Chest percussion increased tidal volume, static lung compliance for the mean time. Desaturation related to suction. Conclusion: Chest percussion influences on lung compliance. Based on this study results and limitation, this study suggests repeated studies in various groups

Motor control is defined broadly the control of both movement and posture. And motor control focuses on understanding the control of movement already acquired. The purposes of assessment are screening, placement to apprpriate treatment program, program plan, evaluation, and progress assessment for individuals. The content of motor control assessment is included not only fexibility, tone, reflex & reaction, muscle strength, movement pattern, balance, gait, and functional ability, but also cognition, arousal, sensation, and perception. There ars many kinds of instruments or scales for assessing motor ability. Most of materials are tested the validity and reliability. But Korea has not own instrument for assessing motor ability. Therefore, Korea needs to develop the assessing tools for motor ability.

  • Cerebral palsy is a nonprogressive brain disorder occurring during gestation, parturition or neonatal period with resultant abnormality of posture or other deficits. Recently the early diagnosis and early treatment has been emphasized in management of cerebral palsy. We studied 1 cerebral palsied child that having been treated anticonvulsive therapy in Sangge-Baek Hospital(상계 백병원) for 1 year. We improved the patient's general condition through dispensing Herb-Med(養胃湯 加味), thus we could reduce the antiepileptic & Sedative drug dose simultaneously controlling convulsion. In this point, we could find the possibility of east-west integrated medicine's cooperation and the fact that Herb-Med could be helpful to controlling convulsion.
