This paper aims to figure out the impact of employee's travel experience on their happiness and motivations to work. To this end, targeting 405 employees in Daegu, Gyeongsangnamdo, and Gyeongsangbukdo, SPSS Statistics 18.0 program was applied to analyze. Frist, in travel experience depending on general characteristics of the targets, there was significant difference in gender, educational background, and occupation but there was significant difference in age, marital status, and average income. Second, there was difference in travel experience depending on frequency of domestic travel but no difference in terms of the period of stay. On the other hands, travel experience depending on frequency of overseas travel showd significant difference in sub-factor, human network experience. There was significant difference in overseas travel depending on period of stay. Third, travel experience showed positive relation in employee's motivation to work and happiness. Fourth, as a result of reviewing impact of travel experience on employee's motivations to work and happiness, sub-factors like emotional, behavioral, relational experiences affected motivations to work significantly. Emotional experience and cognitive experience didn't affect significant impact. And sub-factors of travel experience like emotional, cognitive, and behavioral experiences affected happiness significantly. Emotional and relational experience were not significant. From the research above, it turned out that travel experience gives happiness to employees and provokes positive thinking and their motivations to work.
We applied 3-D balancing technique to estimate nationwide travel demand using travel behavior of Toll Collecting System data, socio-economic data in the region, and the data of several organizations connected with travel demand estimation. The results from this study were validated by the indices of RMSE(Root Mean Square Error), TLFD(Trip Length Frequency Distribution). TCS based inter-city average travel to measure of reliability and adequacy of estimated travel demand. Finally, 3-D technique seems to reflect more travel behavior of TCS OD than 2-D technique, but we cannot assert that 3-D technique superior to 2-D technique.
Purpose:Travel agencies have use digital tools in order to shift the paradigm in how business is conducted. Online travel agencies provide the same services as a normal travel agency, including hotels, transportation, guided tours, reservations, and related services, but using an "online platform. Travelers planning a trip can use a lot of forms to collect information and have access to a larger amount of information, so the factors that influence the user's behavioral intention are very important. This research has the conducted to find what factors lead to the attitudes of consumers in using OTA using the UTAUT model. Research design, data and methodology: The object of this study were respondents of a google survey using convenient sample extraction method, chosen among consumers who gathered information, or purchased a product. A total of 217 of the 235 questionnaires Google survey answered were used in the final analysis, excluding insincere responses. Using PSS v.21 and AMOS v.21, frequency analysis, feasibility and reliability analysis, path analysis was performed. Results: UTAUT affects OTA use satisfaction and trust, and OTA satisfaction and trust affect behavior intention. Conclusions: Research was conducted using the UTAUT model to explore factors that affect the attitudes of users of online travel agencies (OTA).
This paper presents an economic analysis for the travel aids service system for visually handicapped persons through RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). This research estimates both cost and economic effect of the service. By using input-output analysis technique, three kinds of repercussion effects - domestic production, value added, and workers induced by the travel aids service - are also calculated. To evaluate the profitability of the service, we investigate the procedures through which the service has an effect on the interested parties and develop formulas describing the procedures. The benefit of the service have been generally obtained by measuring the willingness to pay (WTP). This paper, however, obtains the monetary value of benefit by estimating the parameters of the formulas, so that a close improvement of the service may be possible with the result of the economic analysis.
The purposes of this study are to identify Traffic Flow characteristics and to develop approach delay model of unsignalized intersection based on the travel speed in the conflicting area. The results of this study are as following ; 1. The cumulative frequency distributions of Left-turning speed show a few differences among approaches and they are distributed to lower range of speeds. On the other hand, those of through speed show obvious differences among bounds. The similar results also show in the analysis of Percentile speed. 2. The effectiveness of conflicting movements to travel speed in the conflicting area are analyzed using regression analysis. Left-turning speed model shows that Left-and Right-Conflicting speed. Through-speed model is also developed, when approaching through volume is less than 420vph. 3. Since the lost time due to the acceleration stop, and decelerlation is occured in the conflicting area, approach delay model is delivered using the travel speed models under the condition of small queuing delay.
This study is aimed at identifying the relationship of transit accessibility types to its related travel frequency in the Seoul metropolitan area. A multi-level poisson regression model is employed after categorizing transit accessibility into 18 types based on locations of residential and work workplace. Analysis results offer three policy implications in improving transit use in the Seoul metropolitan area. First, increase in transit ridership can be more effectively attained when policies concerning both competitive and complementary relationships between bus and rail transit are incorporated. Second, transfer system needs to be focused on such two modal perspectives as one travels from Seoul to suburban area and residential areas given the fact that walking accessibility to bus transit is good but that to rail transit is poor. Third, it is more effective to emphasize rail transit priority rather than bus transit, especially for the travel from suburban area to the city of Seoul in order to increase transit ridership.
We propose a general solution methodology for identifying the optimal aggregation interval sizes as a function of the traffic dynamics and frequency of observations for four cases : i) link travel time estimation, ii) corridor/route travel time estimation, iii) link travel time forecasting. and iv) corridor/route travel time forecasting. We first develop statistical models which define Mean Square Error (MSE) for four different cases and interpret the models from a traffic flow perspective. The emphasis is on i) the tradeoff between the Precision and bias, 2) the difference between estimation and forecasting, and 3) the implication of the correlation between links on the corridor/route travel time estimation and forecasting, We then demonstrate the Proposed models to the real-world travel time data from Houston, Texas which were collected as Part of the Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) system of the Houston Transtar system. The best aggregation interval sizes for the link travel time estimation and forecasting were different and the function of the traffic dynamics. For the best aggregation interval sizes for the corridor/route travel time estimation and forecasting, the covariance between links had an important effect.
In this study, welding phenomena involved in formation of penetrators during high frequency electric resistance welding were investigated. High speed cinematography of the process revealer that a molten bridge between neighboring skelp edges forms at apex point and travels along narrow gap toward to welding point at a speed ranging from 100 to 400 m/min. The bridge while moving along the narrow gap swept away oxide containing molten metal from the gap, providing oxide-free surface for a forge-welding at upsetting stand frequency of the budge formation, travel distance and speed of the bridge were affected by the heat input rate into strip. The travel distance and its standard deviation were found to have a strong relationship with the weld defect density. Based on the observation, a new mechanism of the penetrator formation during HF ERW process is proposed.

The traveler's travel pattern has significantly changed due to the social and economic changes. The travel time among the traveler's pattern is the limited resource. The travelers are trying to maximize the utility of travel with the least travel cost. So, the travelers travel with their own travel time budget in mind, which they can pay or choose to pay for the optimal maximization of the utility of the individuals. This research is to group and extract the specific factors which affect the travel time budget by utilizing the CART analysis method, which enables the analysis of traveler's characteristics and their interrelationship based on the data collected from "2002 Household Travel Practice Research" and then try to derive a model for estimating the traveler’s travel time budget. The result of CART analysis shows that the factors which affect the travel time budget include the traveler's age, size of house, type of house, type of employment, job and relation to the head of household. Considering the affecting factors derived, I developed an estimation model. From that model, we found that the age, size of house and type of house were positively (+) related to the travel time budget while the homeworking people who have less travel frequency as a type of employment were negatively (-) related to it. In particular, from the point of type of job, the housewives, children not yet old enough to attend schools and people who are working in the agricultural, or marine product industries were found to have the negative (-) value while the people who have the administrative, office, management jobs were found to have the positive (+) value.
The resulting characteristics of vibrations show different patterns for the various oscillating mechanisms. These vibrations causes troublesome operation problems for the operators and sometimes for the machines. Furthermore, in some cases the practical usage of this oscillating mechanism is constrained by its mechanical conditions. In this study, a balanced oscillating tillage tool with triple blades having different acting area was designed. The horizontal and vertical oscillating accelerations and draft power requirement due to the various travel speeds, lift angles, amplitudes and oscillating frequencies were investigated in a laboratory soil bin with a soil having invariable properties. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Overall, the horizontal acceleration decreased as the oscillating frequency and amplitude decreased. But the increase in travel speed caused the decrease horizontal acceleration. The blade with the lift angle of $30^{\circ}$ exhibited the lowest value of horizontal acceleration among the blades tested. 2. For the vertical acceleration, the fluctuating trend of oscillating acceleration was similar to the trend of the horizontal acceleration. 3. The draft power requirement decreased as the amplitude and oscillating frequency increased. But the increase in travel speed caused the increase in draft power requirement. The blade with the lift angle of $10^{\circ}$ showed the lowest value of draft power requirement among the blades tested.
