GIS 기반 Space Syntax를 이용한 대중교통 접근성 (Public Transport Network Connectivity using GIS-based Space Syntax)

  • 교통체증을 줄이고 접근성을 높이기 위해 국내 대도시들은 대중교통 위주의 정책에 중점을 두고 있다. 대중교통망을 개선하기 위해서는 적절한 접근성의 분석방법이 필요하게 된다. 기존의 접근성에 관한 연구들은 대부분 존(zone) 레벨에서 이루어진데 비해 본 연구에서는 버스루트나 정류장과 같이 세부레벨에서의 대안적인 접근성측정 방법을 제시한다. 시종점 경로를 구성하는 수단들의 최적의 조합을 산출하고 이들의 접근성을 토폴로지에 기반한 방법으로 측정한다. 시종점루트와 최적조합을 산출하는데에는 GA(유전자알고리즘)가 사용되었으며, 접근성 산출에는 space syntax 이론이 적용되었다. 본 연구에서는 일반적으로 수작업으로 그려지는 space syntax의 axial line 대신 GIS의 nodelink 데이터를 사용하였다. 최종적으로 산출된 접근성은 O-D 데이터를 이용하여 캘리브레이션하였으며, 서울 강남지역에 적용하여 예시하였다.

하상변화가 있는 자연하천에서의 오염물질 거동해석을 위한 주기적저장대모형 개발 (Development of Axially Periodic Transient Storage Zone Model for the Solute Mixing in Natural Streams and Rivers with Various Bottom Boundaries)

  • 본 연구에서는 하상변화가 존재하는 자연하천에서의 물질거동을 해석하기 위한 주기적저장대모형을 개발하였다. 저장대 구조에 따른 저장효과를 살펴보기 위하여 자연하천의 특성을 고려한 4개의 주기적 여울-소 구조를 갖는 와 흐름에서 소금물과 염료를 이용하여 실험한 모형실험결과를 이용하였다. 염료실험 결과, 물질이동 및 혼합거동은 하상 및 하안의 구조에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 기존의 저장대분산모형이 주기적으로 변화하는 저장대 구조에 의한 이동 및 질량교환 효과를 정확히 재현하지 못하는 것에 비해서 경계변화에 따른 질량교환 효과를 보다 효과적으로 재현할 수 있는 주기적저장대모형은 모형 실험 결과를 잘 재현하는 것으로 나타났다. 새로운 저장대모형을 미국 텍사스주의 Sabin River에 적용하였으며, 그 결과는 실험을 통해서 수집된 농도분포를 잘 재현하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • This paper describes the ecological structure and function of riparian zone, and their historical changes with land-use. The riparian zone consists of valley floor landform and riparian vegetation. The functions discussed are attenuation of sunlight energy, input of leaves and needles, contribution of woody debris to streams, and retention of flowing material out of transport. These primary functions directly or indirectly influence water and sediment qualities of streams, bars and floodplains, and thereby aquatic biota. Temporal changes in a hydrological system and riparian ecosystem were examined with reference to land-use conversin in order to understand the linkages between these two systems in Toikanbetsu River. The influences of channelization and land-use on discharge of suspended sediment and wetland vegetation was also investigated in Kushiro Marsh. These two examples suggested that the ecological functions of riparian zone have been degraded as flood control and reclamation works have expanded in the past twenty years The author proposes river restoration planning by preserving or creating landscape elements based on the concepts of sustaining physical and ecological linkages.

목포해역에서의 조석모형 적용 (Application of Tidal Computations for Mokpo Coastal Zone)

  • A horizontal 2-D model which includes the wetting-drying treatment technique in the intertidal zone is applied for the prediction of tidal changes. The flow model is applied to Mokpo coastal zone and verified by measurement data. Comparing computation results with observed values for the M2 tidal constituent, agreeable correspondence is detected. The validity of the model is also proven by applying it to such areas which have narrow width and rapid velocity, irregular topography and complex geometry. Thus, this model can be used as the compatible prediction model for the tidal change and pollutant transport due to the development of Mokpo coastal zone.

Verification of the Wind-driven Transport in the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre using Gridded Wind-Stress Products Constructed by Scatterometer Data

  • Using gridded wind-stress products constructed by satellite scatterometers (ERS-1, 2 and QSCAT) data and those by numerical weather prediction(NWP) model(NCEP-reanalysis), we estimate wind-driven transports of the North Pacific subtropical gyre, and compare them in the central portion of the gyre (around 300 N) with geostrophic transports calculated from historical hydrographic data (World Ocean Database 2005). Even if there are some discrepancies between the wind-driven transports by the QSCAT and NCEP products, they are both in good agreement with the geostrophic transports within reasonable errors, except for the regional difference in the eastern part of the zone. The difference in the eastern part is characterized by an anticyclonic deviation of the geostrophic transport resulting from an anti-cyclonic anomalous flow in the surface layer, suggesting that it is related to the Eastern Gyral produced by the thermohaline process associated with the formation of the Eastern Subtropical Mode Water. We also examine the consistency of the Sverdrup transports estimated from these products by comparing them with the transports of the western boundary current, namely the Kuroshio regions, in previous studies. The net southward transport, based on the sum of the Sverdrup transports by QSCAT and NCEP products and the thermohaline transport, agrees well with the net northward transport of the western boundary current, namely the Kuroshio transport. From these results, it is concluded that the Sverdrup balance can hold in the North Pacific subtropical gyre.

  • In modern society, the range of time and space in life is continually expanding due to increase of income and diversification of life. In order to respond to these changes and to satisfy needs and to secure the mobility of citizens, the construction of transport infrastructure and public transport services should be provided continually. In particular, to ensure mobility during late-night hours, providing metropolitan public transport services is urgently needed. Due to expansion of life zone, tension of time and space of metropolitan transportation is essential to construct transport infrastructure in preparation for entry into 24-hour community. This study was based on analysis of travel resource and survey data conducted by passengers of express trains, conventional trains, and metropolitan bus. This study is to investigate use characteristics of passengers and characteristics and problems of Gyeongin-line. Moreover, this study's purpose is to suggest plans in order to improve express train operation and extend hours of the midnight express. It is also important to vitalize public transportation.
