6LoWPAN (IPv6 Low-power Wireless Personal Area Network) is IPv6 packets transmission technology at Sensor network over the IEEE 802.15.4 Standard MAC and Physical layer. Adaptation layer between IP layer and MAC layer performs fragmentation and reassembly of packet for transmit IPv6 packets. RFC4944, IETF 6LoWPAN WG standard document define packet fragmentation and reassembly. In this paper, we propose the 6PASim (6LoWPAN Packet Simulator) to perform IPv6 packet fragmentation and reassembly for performance evaluation. The 6PASim consist of two parts. One is Packet_Transmit_module that makes IEEE 802.15.4 frames the IPv6 packet from upper layer, and transmit its. and the another is Packet_Receive_module that reassembles transferred frames and completes original IPv6 packets. we can evaluate frame transmit rate and amount of control message through 6PASim. The result of simulation shows the SRM (Selective Retransmission Method) scheme provider better performance than IRM (Immediate Retransmission Method) scheme.

In this paper, a subblock partition scheme for reduction of computational complexity in partial transmit sequence which reduces the peak-to-average power ratio in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is proposed. In this scheme, complex signals are assigned into partial subbands randomly and signals in a partial subband are duplicated and concatenated repetitively to make a subblock. By modulation of active subbands which have almost interleaved pattern, computational complexity can be reduced. As results of computer simulation, the proposed shows almost same peak to average power ratio reduction performance as compared to the conventional one. However, computational complexity required to transmit a partial transmit sequence OFDM symbol has been reduced extensively.

In this paper, we investigate the performance of the ARQ-aided downlink Time Switched Transmit Diversity (TSTD) in the WCDMA LCR-TDD system, when power ramping is applied. The proposed power ramping scheme ramps up the transmission power and then retransmits the data, when the receiver sends the response signal (ACK or NACK signal) to the transmitter and the response signal is NACK signal. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme yields about 0.7dB performance gain in terms of average Eb/N0, compared with the conventional ARQ-aided TSTD when a mobile speed is 3km/h and an frame error rate (FER) is 1%, respectively. In addition, 2.5% of throughput gain is shown when average Eb/N0 is equal to 0dB.

In this paper, we investigate the performance of ARQ-aided Time Switched Transmit Diversity (ARQ-TSTD) applying the multi-level control signaling in the WCDMA LCR-TDD system. Proposed ARQ-TSTD system applies the multi-level control signaling scheme in which the receiver sends the response signal (ACK or NACK signal) to the transmitter and defines NACK2 signal for multi-level control. Transmitter utilize the NACK2 control signal to the postponement of transmission and multi-user scheduling scheme proposed by this paper. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed postponement of transmission and multi-user scheduling scheme yield about 1.3dB, 1.4dB performance gain respectively, compared with the conventional ARQ-TSTD with antenna switching scheme in tenn of the frame error rate (FER) for mobile speed of 3km/h and FER value of 10%. In addition, 14% and 11.5% of throughput gain respectively is shown when Eb/N0=-3dB.

Most of the energy used to operate a cellular network is consumed by a base station (BS), and reducing the transmission power of a BS is required for energy-efficient cellular networks. In this paper, a distributed transmit power control (TPC) algorithm is proposed based on the flocking model to improve the energy efficiency of a cellular network. Just as each bird in a flock attempts to match its velocity with the average velocity of adjacent birds, in the proposed algorithm each mobile station (MS) in a cell matches its rate with the average rate of the co-channel MSs in adjacent cells by controlling the transmit power of its serving BS. Simulation results show that the proposed TPC algorithm follows the same convergence properties as the flocking model and also effectively reduces the power consumption at the BSs while maintaining a low outage probability as the inter-cell interference increases. Consequently, it significantly improves the energy efficiency of a cellular network.

It is the most important in the traffic information system how fast to transmit the traffic conditions on each road, or event such as RTM (Road Traffic Message). In order to operate the event information more efficiently in the TPEG system, it is likely that the effective transmission system shall be needed, and this paper will propose the improved transmission system; Breaking away from the conventional method which is to transmit the traffic information by using simple FIFO method while encoding it into TPEG data, the improved transmission system is to transmit the important information more quickly or to advance the transmission cycle by scheduling according to degree of its importance after deciding which one is the important traffic information by comparing the importance ratings in between diverse information. The traffic information with low importance rating is to be transmitted slowly, and its transmission cycle shall become slow as well. In the computer simulations, it is shown that the proposed approach enables to transmit more quickly a sudden change of traffic conditions and the important traffic data.

In this paper, two-hop beamforming relay system, with source, relay, and destination nodes, is considered and the transmit- and receive-beamforming vectors and the relay processing matrix are designed for minimizing a mean square error (MMSE) between the transmit and receive signals. Here, to reduce the transmit power of the source or the relay, two local inequality constraints are involved with MMSE problem. By adopting the Lagrange method, closed formed Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions (equalities) are derived and an iterative algorithm is developed to solve the entangled KKT equalities. Due to the inequality power constraints, the source or the relay can reduce its transmit power when the received signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) of the first- and the second-hop are different. Meanwhile, the destination can achieve almost identical bit-error-rate performance compared to an optimal beamforming system maximizing the received SNR. This claim is supported by a computer simulation.

This paper proposes a cooperative power allocation with the use of partial channel information (e.g., the average signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and transmit correlation) in multi-cell dual-hop multi-input single-output (MISO) relay systems. In a dual-hop MISO relay channel, it is desirable to allocate the transmit power between dual-hop links to maximize the end-to-end capacity. We consider the maximization of the end-to-end capacity of a dual-hop MISO relay channel under sum-power constraint. The proposed scheme adaptively allocates the transmit power considering the average channel gain of the target relay and the transmit correlation of the desired and inter-relay interference channel from adjacent relays. It is shown by means of upper-bound analysis that the end-to-end capacity can be maximized by making the angle difference of the principal eigenvectors of the desired and inter-relay interference channel orthogonal in highly-correlated channel environments. Finally, the performance of the proposed scheme is verified by computer simulation.

In this paper, a system for real-time or periodic measurement and analysis of RF parameters such as forward transmit power and pilot power in CDMA base station systems is proposed. Such RF characteristic parameter measurement can be prevented from system fault and used to achieve optimal service quality and maximum investment return through cell coverage expansion, subscriber capacity increase and so on. For forward power measurement, the local oscillator frequency for the detector is varied so that the transmit power for all channels can be measured. The channel power measurement can be used to analyze the variation in transmit power for changes in voice traffic. By comparing to forward $E_c/I_o$, the pilot channel power can be deducted, which can be used to determine uy degradation in transmit section modules such as the high dover amplifier. Since an accurate analysis of carefully measured data using the CDMA level detector must be made, the system is designed so that measurement errors due to changes in crest factor with modulation method can be overcome.

In this paper, we proposes a D-STTD(Double-Space Time Transmit Diversity) communication system with AMC scheme and analyzes its performance using simulation experiments. The AMC scheme selects an optimal channel coding rate and modulation scheme based on the channel response data for signal transmission, creating a balance between error rate and throughput to improve the overall system throughput and transmission quality. The D-STTD scheme complements the conventional STTD(Space Time Transmit Diversity) scheme, yielding about twice the throughput. The simulation results show that the probability of selecting a high MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) level increased as the SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) improved. Furthermore, the D-STTD communication system with AMC scheme provided a more uniform throughput distribution throughout the entire SNR range compared to its counterpart which did not apply AMC scheme. Also, the maximum throughput of the D-STTD communication system with AMC scheme was twice that of a conventional AMC communication system or a STTD communication system with AMC scheme.
