시각 서보 제어에 있어서 대응점 선택 알고리즘 개발 (Development of a Correspondence Point Selection Algorithm for Visual Servo Control)

  • 본 논문은 스테레오 카메라를 대응점 문제가 발생하지 않을 만큼 병진 및 전진 이동시켜 고속으로 양안 시차 정보를 획득할 수 있다는 것을 제안한다. 병진 이동하는 스테레오 비전에 있어서 오차가 없고 신뢰성이 높은 시차 정보를 획득할 수 있다는 것과 전진 이동하는 스테레오 비전에 있어서는 통상의 스테레오 비전으로는 검출할 수 없는 수평성분을 획득할 수 있다는 것을 나타낸다. 또한 좌우 화상사이의 대응을 미리 한정하기 때문에 한정하지 않을 때에 비해 대응점이 밝고 작게 되므로 고속으로 스테레오 비전을 행할 수 있다. 그러나 전진 이동하는 스테레오 비전에 있어서 화상중심 부근과 폐색영역이 일치하면 바른 양안 시차 정보를 얻을 수 없는 문제가 있다.

Development of a 4-DOF Industrial Robot System

  • In this work, a 4-DOF industrial robot system with three translational and one rotational motions which is widely used in palletizing applications is developed. In order for small robot manufacturing companies to develop their own robot systems for CNC machining and/or general automations, the analysis and design methods of a 4-DOF robot manipulator are presented and the development of a PC-based robot controller with EtherCAT are introduced. It is noted that the robot controller is developed by using Simulink Real-Time, which can provide an integrated environment of easier control algorithm development and data logging. Through position control and accuracy/repeatability measurement results, the developed robot prototype has comparable performances with commercial counterparts. In the future works, the advanced functions of industrial robots such as kinematic calibration, vibration suppression control, computed torque control, etc. will be investigated.

  • This paper presents an end-point control of 1-link flexible arm tip-mass by using fuzzy position control algorithm. The arm is mounted on a translational mechanism driven by a ballscrew, whose rotation is controlled by a DC servomotor. Tip position is controlled so that it follows a desired position. Feedback signal is composed of both tip displacement error and change of error. This paper gives tip responses according to the variations of tip-mass and beam length, and the effects of reducing the residual vibrations occurring at the end-point. In the case of the residual vibrations of tip displacement, fuzzy control has better results than the PD-control.

  • This paper presents a tip position control of a single-link flexible arm with a payload by using closed loop control. The shifting problem of the arm from the initial position to desired position is considered by the variation of the displacement gain $G_{p}$ and velocity gain $G_{v}$. The system is composed of a flexible arm with payload, DC servomotor, and a ballscrew mechanism. The flexible arm is mounted on a mobile stage driven by a servomotor and ballscrew. As a result, the increase of the displacement and velocity gain respectively comes to the reduction of tip vibration. Theoretical results are approximately in good agreement with those obtained experimentally.y.y.

  • This study addresses the control problem of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) during the transition period when the flying mode changes from hovering to translational motion in the horizontal plane. First, we introduce a compensation algorithm that improves height stabilization and reduces altitude drop. The main principle is to incorporate pitch and roll measurements into the feedforward term of the altitude controller to provide a larger thrust force. To further improve altitude control, we propose the fuzzy logic controller that improves system behavior. Simulation results presented in the paper highlight the effectiveness of the proposed controllers.

  • The previous limited authority system capable of implementing attitude command response type and translational command response type by operating SAS actuator has the problem of early saturation of SAS actuator since SAS actuator should compensate the mechanical linkage displacement caused by control sick movement. In this paper, a limited authority system where flight control computer receives the command from the control stick which is not connected to the mechanical linkage is described. In this system the compensation by the SAS actuator is not necessary and SAS actuator saturate later. SAS actuator saturation problem can be further relaxed by using the trim actuator. This new limited authority system is applied to BO-105 model, simulation is performed for the doublet input and pirouette maneuver is also simulated and analyzed.

  • The performance of a strapdown attitude reference system(SDARS) under dynamic environments was analyzed by means of computer simulation. The study is aimed toward the performance evaluation in the presence of translational or angular vibration during 20 sec of flight time. The simulation was based on the error model of rate gyro, and Euler angle algorithm was employed to compute the attitude.

  • Regulation of enzyme synthesis by transcriptional and translational control systems provides rather stable adaptation to change of amino acid level in the growth medium, while manipulation of enzyme activity through endproduct feedback inhibition represents rather short-term and reversible ways of adjusting metabolic fluctuation of amino acid level. Various control mechanisms interplay to regulate genes encoding enzymes for amino acid biosynthesis in the yeast, Sacchromyces cerevisiae. When amino acids are in short supply, genes under a cross-pathway regulatory mechanism Or general amino acid control (general control) increase their action, in which Gcn4p is the major positive regulator of gene expression. When cells are cultured in minimal medium, basal level expression is also regulated by supplementary control elements, where inorganic phosphate level is additionally involved. Most of amino acid biosynthetic genes are also regulated by the level of endproduct of the pathway. This pathway-specific regulatory mechanism is called specific amino acid control (specific controD, under which gene expression is reduced when endproduct is present in the medium. Derepression of a gene through general control can be usually overridden by repression through specific control, where the endproduct level of that particular pathway is high and not limiting. In this presentation, regulatory factors for basal level expression and general control of yeast amino acid biosynthesis will be discussed, m addition to pathway-specific repression patterns and interaction between CrOSS- and specific-control mechanisms. Preliminary results are also presented from the investigation of the cloned genes in the threonine biosynthetic pathway of the yeast. yeast.

End-point position control of a flexible arm by PID self-tuning fuzzy controller

  • This paper presents an end-point position control of 1-link flexible robot arm by the PID self-tuning fuzzy algorithm. The governing equation is derived by the extended Hamilton's principle and based on the Bernoullie-Euler beam theory. The governing equation is solved by applying the Laplace transform and the numerical inversion method. The arm is mounted on the translational mechanism driven by a ballscrew whose rotation is controlled by dcservomotor. Tip position is controlled by the PID self-tuning fuzzy algorithm so that it follows a desired position. This paper shows the experimental and theoretical results of tip dispalcement, and also shows the good effects reducing the residual vibration of the end-point.

  • In order to respond to the increasing demands of ultraprecision positioning mechanism in the field of precision engineering, more accurate stages are needed whose positioning uncertainty should be in the unprecedented level of nanometers, while maintaining a long travek range. For this application, most conventional stage mechanisms are found not suitable, so the concept of dual servo, which uses two different servos, is one of the new design and control strategies being extensively investigated these days, This paper presents a fine motion mechanism as a part of research on the dual servo control. The stage is made of a single structure of elastic flexure, whose xy .theta. motions are induced in the form of elastic deformation activated by three piezoelectric actuators. Experimental results show that the translational and rotational motions of the stage can be controlled with resolutions of 5 nm and 0.1 arcsec, respectively.
