변압기용 절연유의 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (A study on an experimental basis a special character of insulating oil the use of a transformers)

  • 본 연구는 변압기 내부에 있는 절연유의 온도제어를 목적으로 열전소자인 펠티어 소자와 무전력 냉각장치인 Heat pipe를 이용한 다양한 시스템을 설계 제작하여, 절연유의 용량별 온도제어에 적용함으로써 최적의 시스템을 구현할 수 있었다. 실험을 통하여 $60^{\circ}C$ 이내의 상태에서는 Heat pipe 100 W + 펠티어 100 W의 조합형이 순수 Heat pipe 300 W보다 탁월한 성능을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통하여 조합형의 적정설계 방식이 우수하다는 것을 증명하고, 조합형을 사용함으로써 전기절약 효과와 수배전반의 보다 더 효율적인 관리에 기여하고자 한다.

  • 자동차 방전 램프의 전압과 전류에 대한 수학적 해석은 고전압 안정기 해석 및 설계에 유용하게 활용된다. 본 논문에서는 자동차 방전 램프에서 발생되는 램프 전력과 음극 전압 강하 현상에 대한 수학적 모델을 제안하였다. 제안된 모델에 적용된 수치해석 알고리즘을 구현하였고 여기에서 발생된 해석결과는 실험과 비교 검토하였다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 설계 기반의 해석방법을 적용하여 자동차용 고전압 안정기 핵심 부품에 대한 설계 인자를 도출하였다.

전원측 리액터 불평형을 고려한 전압형 컨버터의 전류 보상 제어기 구현 (The Implementation of Current Compensation Controller in Driving Voltage type Converter considering the Unbalance of Reactor at the Source Side)

  • 본 연구에서는 인버터를 구동하는 용도의 직류전원장치에 대한 제어 알고리즘 개발을 목표로 하고 있으며, 구동과 회생기능을 갖는 전압형 PWM 컨버터에서 운전시 전원의 불평형을 보상하는 제어방법을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 전력회생기능을 갖는 정류기에 대하여 기존 다이오드 및 SCR을 이용한 정류방식과의 비교를 통해 본 제어방식의 우수성을 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 입증하고자 한다. 전력변환기가 항상 평형상태를 유지하기 위해 전류제어 루프에 의하여 불평형 상태를 보상하는 방법을 사용하였으며, 통상적으로 전력변환기의 구성시 각상의 리액턴스가 같지 않은 누설변압기 등의 사용을 가능하게 하므로 제안된 전력변환기의 리액턴스가 불평형상태가 되어도 운전시 항상 평형상태로 유지되어 시스템을 안정적으로 구동 시킬 수 있는 제어기법의 설계를 통해 어떤 환경에서도 장치의 안정된 구동특성을 확인하고자 하였다.

A New Dual-Active Soft-Switching Converter for an MTEM Electromagnetic Transmitter

  • In this study, a new dual-active soft-switching converter is proposed to improve conversion efficiency and extend the load range for an MTEM electromagnetic transmitter in geological exploration. Unlike a conventional DC/DC converter, the proposed converter can operate in passive soft-switching, single-active soft-switching, or dual-active soft-switching modes depending on the change in load power. The main switches and lagging auxiliary switches of the converter can attain soft-switching over the entire load range. The conduction and switching losses are greatly reduced compared with those of ordinary converters under the action of the cut-off diodes and auxiliary windings coupled to the main transformer in the auxiliary circuits. The conversion efficiency of the proposed converter is significantly improved, especially under light-load conditions. First, the working principle of the proposed converter is analyzed in detail. Second, the relationship between the different operating modes and the load power is given and the design principle of the auxiliary circuit is presented. Finally, the Saber simulation and experimental results verify the feasibility and validity of the converter and a 50 kW prototype is implemented.

Common-Mode Voltage Elimination with an Auxiliary Half-Bridge Circuit for Five-Level Active NPC Inverters

  • This paper proposes a novel scheme which can compensate the common-mode voltage (CMV) for five-level active neutralpoint clamped (5L-ANPC) inverters, which is based on modifying the space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) and adding an auxiliary leg to the inverter. For the modified SVPWM, only the 55 voltage vectors producing low CMV values among the 125 possible voltage vectors are utilized, which varies over the three voltage levels of $-V_{dc}/12$, 0 V, and $V_{dc}/12$. In addition, the compensating voltage, which is injected into the 5L-ANPC inverter system to cancel the remaining CVM through a common-mode transformer (CMT) is generated by the additional NPC leg. By the proposed method, the CMV of the inverter is fully eliminated, while the utilization of the DC-link voltage is not decreased at all. Furthermore, all of the DC-link and flying capacitor voltages of the inverter are well controlled. Simulation and experimental results have verified the validity of the proposed scheme.

Design of a Novel Integrated L-C-T for PSFB ZVS Converters

  • To enhance the zero-voltage switching (ZVS) range and power density of the phase-shift full-bridge (PSFB) ZVS converters used in geophysical exploration, an additional resonant inductor is used as a leakage inductance and a blocking capacitor which is equivalent to interlayer capacitance is integrated into a novel integrated inductor-capacitor-transformer (L-C-T). The leakage inductance and equivalent interlayer capacitance of the novel integrated L-C-T are difficult to determine by conventional methods. To address this issue, this paper presents accurate and efficient methods to compute the leakage inductance and equivalent interlayer capacitance. Moreover, the accuracy of this methodology, which is based on electromagnetic energy and Lebedev's method, is verified by an experimental analysis and a finite element analysis (FEA). Taking the problems of the novel integrated L-C-T into consideration, the losses of the integrated L-C-T are analyzed and the temperature rise of the integrated L-C-T is determined by FEA. Finally, a PSFB ZVS converter prototype with the novel integrated L-C-T is designed and tested.

  • In Recent, it became necessary to develope the technology about electrodeless fluorescent lamp according to demand of the electodeless fluorescent lamp system that used higher efficiency and advantage of long-lifetime. Especially, in the electordeless fluorescent lamp which used H-mode, efficiency of lamp is decided from matching parameter of antena and inverter. So it is of the utmost importance to design antena and inverter Therefore, this paper used a transformer principle for efficiency rising of electrodeless fluorescent lamp and interpreted an equivalent circuit, used an impedance analyzer in order to confirm a performance enhancement of lamp along design of antenna, and confirmed parameter characteristic of R, L, C, Z, Q-factor along a change of magnetic flux density. Also, this paper confirmed a luminance characteristic of electordeless lamp along parameter change with measuring optical characteristic along a change of magnetic flux density

Resonance Investigation and Active Damping Method for VSC-HVDC Transmission Systems under Unbalanced Faults

  • Grid unbalanced faults can cause core saturation of power transformer and produce lower-order harmonics. These issues increase the electrical stress of power electronic devices and can cause a tripping of an entire HVDC system. In this paper, based on the positive-sequence and negative-sequence impedance model of a VSC-HVDC system as seen from the point of common connection (PCC), the resonance problem is analyzed and the factors determining the resonant frequency are obtained. Furthermore, to suppress over-voltage and over-current during resonance, a novel method using a virtual harmonic resistor is proposed. The virtual harmonic resistor emulates the role of a resistor connected in series with the commutating inductor without influencing the active and reactive power control. Simulation results in PSCAD/EMTDC show that the proposed control strategy can suppress resonant over-voltage and over-current. In addition, it can be seen that the proposed strategy improves the safety of the VSC-HVDC system under unbalanced faults.

  • 에너지 소비 증가와 환경문제의 이슈화로 전력 산업의 고도화 및 에너지 고효율화에 대한 관심이 집중되고 있다. 이러한 요구에 따라 지능형 전력시스템과 같은 전력 IT 산업이 새로운 신 성장 동력산업으로 주목받고 있으며, IT 기반의 선진화된 고효율 전력 산업이 저탄소 녹색 성장으로 대표되는 국가 경쟁력 강화의 핵심 요소로 자리 잡고 있다. 지능형 전력시스템은 발전에서부터 송전 및 변전, 그리고 배전/수용가 시스템에 이르기까지 전력의 생산에서부터 소비에 이르는 과정에 자동제어, 센서, 통신망 등의 정보기술을 적용하여 효율적 전력관리를 수행한다. 본 연구에서는 유인 또는 무인변전소의 수배전반에 적용할 수 있는 실시간 전력감시(전류,전압,전력,역률,주파수), 환경감시(배수장수위, 국부적 위험지역의 온도등), 상태감시(진공차단기, 기중차단기의 이상 상태, 배수장 모터 작동상태 등) 등 통합관리 기능을 갖는 다기능 원격 관리시스템을 구현하였으며, 구현된 시스템의 평가를 통해 실제 현장적용 가능성을 평가하였다.

  • Modern AC electric car has PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)-controlled converters, which give rise to higher harmonics. The current harmonics injected from AC electric car is propagated through power feeding circuit, As the feeding circuit is a distributed constant circuit composed of RLC, the capacitance of the feeding circuit and the inductance on the side of power system cause a parallel resonance and a magnification of current harmonics at a specific frequency. The magnified current harmonics usually brings about various problems. That is, the current harmonics makes interference in the adjacent lines of communications and the railway signalling system. Furthermore, in case it flows on the side of power system, not only overheating and vibration at the power capacitors but also wrong operation at the protective devices can occur. Therefore, the exact assessment of the harmonic current flow must be undertaken at design and planning stage for the electric traction systems. From these point of view, this study presents an approach to model and to analyse traction power feeding system focused on the amplification of harmonic current The proposed algorithm is applied to a standard AT(Auto-transformer)-fed test system in which electric car with PWM-controlled converters is running.
