급가속 흡기계의 능동소음제어 성능향상을 위한 Moving Bandpass filter 개발 (Development of Moving Bandpass Filter for Improving Control Performance of Active Intake Noise Control under Rapid Acceleration)

  • The study of the noise reduction of an automobile has been concentrated on the reduction of the automotive engine noise because the engine noise is the major cause of automotive noise. However, many studies of automotive engine noise led to the interest of the noise reduction of the exhaust and intake system. The method of the reduction of the induction noise can be classified by the method of passive control and the method of active control. However, the passive control method has a demerit to reduce the effect of noise reduction at low frequency (below 500Hz) range and to be limited by a space of the engine room. Whereas, the active control method can overcome the demerit of passive control method. The algorithm of active control is mostly used the LMS (Least-Mean-Square) algorithm because the LMS algorithm can easily obtain the complex transfer function in real-time. Especially, Filtered-X LMS (FXLMS) algorithm is applied to an ANC system. However, the convergence performance of LMS algorithm goes bad when the FXLMS algorithm is applied to an active control of the induction noise under rapidly accelerated driving conditions. So, in order to this problem, the modified FXLMS algorithm using Moving Bandpass Filter was proposed. In this study, MBPF was implemented and use ANC for automotive intake under revived rapidly accelerated driving conditions and it was verified its performance.

터널화재시 콘크리트 라이닝의 폭렬 및 화재손상에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Thermal Damage and Spalling of Concrete Lining in Tunnel Fire)

  • 터널의 경우 타구조물에 비해 화재빈도가 상대적으로 높지는 않으나, 밀폐된 공간이라는 특성상 5분 이내 $1000^{\circ}C$ 이상으로 급격한 온도상승이 발생할 수 있으므로, 화재발생시 대형 인명피해 및 화재 후 막대한 보수 보강비용이 파생된다. 이러한 터널화재로 인한 구조적 손상을 규명하기 위해, KS F 2257-1과 EFNARC 규정에 부합하고 터널 콘크리트 라이닝의 화재손상평가가 가능한 가열로를 개발하였다. 개발된 가열로를 실증실험에 사용하여 터널화재 시나리오(ISO, $1^{\circ}C$/SEC, MHC, RWS)에서의 콘크리트 PC패널라이닝의 폭렬특성과 화재손상범위를 ITA기준을 적용하여 평가하였다. 실증실험결과 ISO 화재조건에서는 30mm, $1^{\circ}C$/SEC에서는 20mm, MHC에서는 100mm, RWS에서는 50mm로 화재손상범위가 평가되었으며, 폭렬깊이는 RWS와 MHC 화재조건에서 30mm가 발생하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Space Physics Sensor (SPS) on-board the KOMPSAT-1 consists of the High Energy Particle Detector (HEPD) and the Ionospheric Measurement Sensor (IMS). The HEPD is to characterize the low altitude high energy particle environment and the effects on the microelectronics due to these high energy particles. It is composed of four sensors: Proton and Electron Spectrometer(PES), Linear Energy Transfer Spectrometer (LET), Total Dose Monitor (TDM), and Single Event Monitor (SEM). 35 MeV proton beam from the medical KCCH cyclotron, at Korea Cancer Center Hospital in Seoul, is used to calibrate the PES. Primary proton beam of 35MeV scattered by polypropylene target is converted to various energy protons according to the elastic collision kinematics. In this calibration, the threshold level of the proton in the PES can be determined and the energy ranges of PES channels are also calibrated.

초소형의 광섬유 결합형 테라헤르츠 모듈을 이용한 시간영역에서의 분광 및 이미징 (Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy and Imaging using Compact Fiber-coupled Terahertz Modules)

  • 본 논문에서는 초소형의 광섬유 결합형 테라헤르츠 모듈을 이용하여 테라헤르츠 시간영역 분광 및 영상 시스템을 구성하였다. 구성된 THz 분광 시스템을 이용하여 3 THz 이상의 자유공간에 분포되어 있는 수분의 고유 흡수 스펙트럼을 관측하였고 테라헤르츠 대역에서의 Si, $Al_2O_3$, GaAs기판에 대한 굴절률을 측정하였으며 측정을 위해 다중 반사를 고려한 전달 함수를 이용한 굴절률 측정 방법을 이용하였다. 또한, 테라헤르츠 영상 시스템을 이용하여 의료용 칼과 클립을 측정하여 250 ${\mu}m$ 간격으로 $192{\times}89$ 픽셀의 영상을 얻었다.

  • The article deals with problems of innovation development on a network basis, which require effective mechanisms of innovation communications. In research the organizational aspects of ICT infrastructure development for innovation networks sustainable development based on cooperative marketing principles is considered. The proposed research idea is based on the idea that ICT implementation is based not only on the operational approach for innovation management as a factor of efficiency of internal communications, but also on knowledge economy and post-industrial economy trends. Therefore, the purpose of study is to develop an ICT model of innovation infrastructure to improve its effectiveness (strategic character) and efficiency (operative character) through increasing the efficiency of network communication interactions. Creation of information space and communication tools to support innovation network sustainable development and cooperation activities in research is proposed to be solved with the help of specialized ICT platform. It is shown, that ICT platform of innovation cooperation innovation network is important tool for common work of participants. ICT platform is considered as an integrated information system designed to automate business processes related to the sustainable development of innovation network, segment management and integration with HEI information systems and industrial cooperation. The main factors that determine the need to use a special ICT platform for innovation network cooperation were considered. The main issues of concurrent engineering (C-technology) application in high-technology industries and innovation cooperation for integrated product development were studied.

Realtime Media Streaming Technique Based on Adaptive Weight in Hybrid CDN/P2P Architecture

  • 본 논문에서는 Hybrid CDN/P2P 구조를 기반으로 최적화된 미디어 데이터 탐색과 전송을 수행하며 사용자의 요청 가능성 예측을 통한 선별적 저장을 통해 사용자로의 끊김없는 데이터 전송과 불필요한 트래픽의 감소를 가능하게 한다. 또한 전송지연 및 패킷 손실의 가능성을 최소화하여 실시간으로 미디어를 활용할 수 있도록 하는 새로운 미디어 관리 기법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 각 미디어를 논리적인 세그먼트로 나누어 구성하고 각 세그먼트에 대한 가중치를 지속적으로 계산하며 계산된 가중치에 따라 세그먼트 데이터의 저장 여부를 결정하도록 한다. 또한 네트워크상에 산재되어 있는 컴퓨팅 노드들을 거리에 따라 지역적 그룹으로 지정하고 해당 그룹 내에서 저장 공간을 효율적으로 공유하고 활용하도록 한다. 제안하는 기법의 효율성을 검증하기 위해 수행된 실험을 통해 제안하는 방식이 기존의 방법들에 비해 비교적 좋은 성능 평가가 도출되는 것을 확인하였으며 이는 전송과정에서 발생되는 초기 지연시간 감소와 끊김 없는 전송 모두를 가능하게 할 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

Centrifuge modelling of rock-socketed drilled shafts under uplift load

  • Rock-socketed drilled shafts are widely used to transfer the heavy loads from the superstructure especially in mountainous area. Extensive research has been done on the behavior of rock-socketed drilled shafts under compressive load. However, little attention has been paid to uplift behavior of drilled shaft in rock, which govern the overall behavior of the foundation system. In this paper, a series of centrifuge tests have been performed to investigate the uplift response of rock-socketed drilled shafts. The pull-out tests of drilled shafts installed in layered rocks having various strengths were conducted. The load-displacement response, axial load distributions in the shaft and the unit skin friction distribution under pull-out loads were investigated. The effects of the strength of rock socket on the initial stiffness, ultimate capacity and mobilization of friction of the foundation, were also examined. The results indicated that characteristics of rock-socket has a significant influence on the uplift behavior of drilled shaft. Most of the applied uplift load were carried by socketed rock when the drilled shaft was installed in the sand over rock layer, whereas substantial load was carried by both upper and lower rock layers when the drilled shaft was completely socketed into layered rock. The pattern of mobilized shaft friction and point where the maximum unit shaft friction occurred were also found to be affected by the socket condition surrounding the drilled shaft.

변형 Weil 절골술의 중족지 단축 효과를 이용한 Freiberg병의 치료 (Treatment of Freiberg's Disease Using the Shortening Effect of the Modified Weil Osteotomy)

  • Purpose: This study sought to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of the shortening effect of the modified Weil osteotomy for the treatment of Freiberg's disease. Materials and Methods: We reviewed 21 cases treated with the modified Weil osteotomy for Freiberg's disease from November 2005 to June 2019. The average follow-up period was 32.5 months and the mean age of the patients was 38.3 years. The clinical results were analyzed using the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) lesser metatarsophalangeal-interphalangeal scale, the visual analogue scale (VAS), and the range of motion (ROM) of the metatarsophalangeal joint. In the radiologic evaluation, the length of preoperative and postoperative metatarsal shortening was compared. Results: The average AOFAS lesser metatarsophalangeal-interphalangeal scale showed an improvement from 60.5 preoperatively to 90.9 at the latest follow-up. VAS showed a decrease from 5.4 preoperatively to 0.9 at the latest follow-up. ROM of the affected metatarsophalangeal joint increased from 40.2 degrees preoperatively to 58.6 degrees at the latest follow-up. The mean length of metatarsal shortening was 6.7 mm. There was no transfer metatarsalgia, osteonecrosis, and definite joint space narrowing. Conclusion: Modified Weil osteotomy with second layer cutting is an effective treatment option to restore the joint surface and painless joint motion for patients with Freiberg's disease.

Biomass-Derived Three-Dimensionally Connected Hierarchical Porous Carbon Framework for Long-Life Lithium-Sulfur Batteries

  • Lithium sulfur (Li-S) batteries have attracted considerable attention as a promising candidate for next-generation power sources due to their high theoretical energy density, low cost, and eco-friendliness. However, the poor electrical conductivity of sulfur and its insoluble discharging products (Li2S2/Li2S), large volume changes, severe self-discharge, and dissolution of lithium polysulfide intermediates result in rapid capacity fading, low Coulombic efficiency, and safety risks, hindering Li-S battery commercial development. In this study, a three-dimensionally (3D) connected hierarchical porous carbon framework (HPCF) derived from waste sunflower seed shells was synthesized as a sulfur host for Li-S batteries via a chemical activation method. The natural 3D connected structure of the HPCF, originating from the raw material, can effectively enhance the conductivity and accessibility of the electrolyte, accelerating the Li+/electron transfer. Additionally, the generated micropores of the HPCF, originated from the chemical activation process, can prevent polysulfide dissolution due to the limited space, thereby improving the electrochemical performance and cycling stability. The HPCF/S cell shows a superior capacity retention of 540 mA h g-1 after 70 cycles at 0.1 C, and an excellent cycling stability at 2 C for 700 cycles. This study provides a potential biomass-derived material for low-cost long-life Li-S batteries.

GTX-A 노선의 수도권 통합대중교통 요금 Paradox 영향 추정 (Impact of GTX-A Line to Seoul Metropolitan Integrated Public Transit Fare Paradox)

  • 수도권 도시철도는 승객의 통행경로를 추정하지 못하는 경로미확정 이슈가 존재한다. 이 때문에 도시철도 요금은 승객이 최소이동거리를 통행한다는 가정으로 계산된다. 따라서 도시철도의 환승역이 추가되면 최소이동거리가 줄고 요금수입이 줄어드는 구간이 나타난다. 본 연구는 이러한 현상을 요금 Paradox(Shin, 2022)로 규정하고 GTX-A 개통에 의한 요금 Paradox 영향을 추정하였다. 이를 위해 GTX-A의 개통 전후의 시나리오를 구축하여 수도권 통합거리비례요금제에 의한 추가요금의 감소분을 추정하였다. 요금 Paradox는 일일 수입금의 약 0.024%에 해당되는 것으로 분석되었다. 향후 GTX-A, B, C, D 및 경전철 노선 신설 등의 요금정책 의사결정 툴로서 활용될 것으로 기대된다.
