This paper deals with the trajectory tracking control of wheeled mobile robots with input constraint. The proposed method converts the trajectory tracking problem to the system stability problem using the control inputs composed of feedforward and feedback terms, and then, by using Taylor series, nonlinear terms in origin system are transformed into polynomial equations. The composed system model can make it possible to obtain the control inputs using numerical tool named as SOSTOOL. From the simulation results, the mobile robot can track the reference trajectory well and can have faster convergence rate of the trajectory errors than the existing nonlinear control method. By using the proposed method, we can easily obtain the control input for nonlinear systems with input constraint.

This paper presents a state feedback based backstepping control algorithm to address the trajectory tracking problem of an underactuated Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) in the horizontal plane. A nonlinear three Degree of Freedom (DOF) underactuated dynamic model for USV is considered, and trajectory tracking controller that can track both curve trajectory and straight line trajectory with high accuracy is designed as the well known Persistent Exciting (PE) conditions of yaw velocity is completely relaxed in our study. The proposed controller has further been enriched by incorporating an integral action additionally for enhancing the steady state performance and control precision of the USV trajectory tracking control system. Global stability of the overall system is proved by Lyapunov theory and Barbalat's Lemma, and then simulation experiments are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the controller designed.

This paper deals with the flexible manipulator with rotational and translational degrees of freedom, which has an arm of time-varying length with the prismatic joint. The tracking control problem of the flexible manipulator is considered. First we design the controller of the 2-type robust servo system based on the finite horizon optimal control theory for the trajectory planned as a discontinuous velocity. Next, to reduce the tracking error, we use the method of the dynamic programming and of modifying the reference trajectory in time coordinate. The simulation results show that the dynamic modeling is adequate and that the asymptotic stabilization of the flexible manipulator is preserved in spite of nonlinear terms. The PTP control error has been reduced to zero completely, and the trajectory tracking errors are reduced sufficiently by the proposed control method.
In this paper, The trajectory control of robot manipulator is proposed. It divides by trajectory planning and tracking control. A trajectory planning and tracking control of robot manipulator is used to the neural network and evolutionary algorithm. The trajectory planning provides not only the optimal trajectory for a given cost function through evolutionary algorithm but also the configurations of the robot manipulator along the trajectory by considering the robot dynamics. The computed torque method (C.T.M) using the model of the robot manipulators is an effective means for trajectory tracking control. However, the tracking performance of this method is severely affected by the uncertainties of robot manipulators. The Radial Basis Function Networks(RBFN) is used not to learn the inverse dynamic model but to compensate the uncertainties of robot manipulator. The computer simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
This study presents a direct adaptive controller which is derived by using Lyapunovs direct methods for trajectory tracking control of a pneumatic cylinder. The structure of the controller is very simple and computationally efficient because it does not use either the dynamic model or the parameter values of the pneumatic system. The bounded stability of the system is shown in the presence of the bounded unmodeled dynamics. The bounded size of tracking errors can be made arbitrarily small without giving andy influences on either input or output variables. The trajectory tracking performance and the stability of the control system is verified experimentally. The results of the experiments show that the proposed controller tracks the given trajectories, sine function and cycloidal function trajectories, more accurately than PD controller does, and it stabilizes the system and adaptive variables.

This paper presents an iterative learning control (ILC) approach for tracking problems with specified data points that are desired points at certain time instants. To design ILC systems for such problems, unlike traditional ILC approaches, an algorithm which updates not only the control signal but also the reference trajectory at each trial will be developed. The relationship between the reference trajectory and ILC control in tracking problems where there are specified data points through which the system should pass is investigated as the rate of convergence. In traditional ILC, the desired data is stored in a tracking profile file. Due to the huge size of the data file containing the target points, it is important to reduce the computational cost. Finally, simulation results of the presented technique are mentioned and compared to other related works to confirm the effectiveness of proposed scheme.
Trajectory tracking of the AMR robot is one research for the AMR robot navigation. For the control system of the Autonomous mobile robot(AMR) being in non-honolomic system and the complex relations among the control parameters, it is d ifficult to solve the problem based on traditional mathematics model. In this paper, we presents a simple and effective way of implementing an adaptive tracking controller based on the PID for AMR robot trajectory tracking. The method uses a non-linear model of AMR robot kinematics and thus allows an accurate prediction of the future trajectories. The proposed controller has a parallel structure that consists of PID controller with a fixed gain. The control law is constructed on the basis of Lyapunov stability theory. Computer simulation for a differentially driven non-holonomic AMR robot is carried out in the velocity and orientation tracking control of the non-holonomic AMR. The simulation results of wheel type AMR robot platform show that the proposed controller is more robust than the conventional back-stepping controller to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
This paper proposes a combined controller frame of the adaptive robust control(ARC) and the sliding mode control(SMC) for the trajectory tracking control of the excavator to preserve the advantages of the both methods while overcoming their drawbacks, namely, asymptotic stability of adaptive system fir parametric uncertainties and guaranteed transient performance of sliding mode control for both parametric uncertainties and external disturbance. The suggested control technique is applied for the tracking of a straight-line motion of end-effector of manipulators, and through computer simulations, its trajectory tracking performances and the robustness to payload variation and uncertainties are illustrated.
In this paper, a new control technique using WIPDC(Weighted Integral Parallel Distributed Compensation) and ISMC(Integral Sliding Mode Control) is proposed for high performance and robust trajectory tracking control of a wheeled mobile robot. The WIPDC reduces the steady-state error by adding a weighted integral controller to the PDC. So, the trajectory tracking control using the WIPDC can obtain more accurate control performance than the PDC. And the ISMC based control input gives the mobile robot to preserve the system dynamics controlled by the WIPDC control input in spite of external disturbances. Therefore, the proposed control method shows a robust and precise trajectory tracking performance.
