  • The training ships of maritime university in Korea are operated in the suitable schedule. However, there is no paper to grasp the education effect of the coastal navigation and ocean-going navigation terms. As the first step of these training education effects, this paper investigates the effect of training terms and provides the basic materials of the efficient training education. This paper used the 6 times test scores based on test book for 3rd officer as the assess method The results are as follows. (1)The higher credits scored in university times, the higher test scores gained in training ship. (2)After ocean-going navigation, the test score was the best.(3) The longer the training period is, the more the difference of individual capacity is.

  • The apprenticeship-based training method (ABTM) is highly effective for gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopic training. However, the conventional ABTM has significant issues. Although many supplementary training methods (TMs) have been developed and utilized, they cannot entirely replace the ABTM, which remains the major TM strategy. Currently, new TM construction is crucial and necessary due to financial constraints, difficulty of obtaining sufficient training time due to patient safety-related regulations, and catastrophic damage caused by disasters such as the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. The simulator-based TM (SBTM) is widely accepted as an alternative to the ABTM, owing to the SBTM's advantages. Since the 1960s, many GI endoscopy training simulators have been developed and numerous studies have been published on their effectiveness. While previous studies have focused on the simulator's validity, this review focused on the accessibility of simulators that were introduced by the end of 2021. Although the current SBTM is effective in GI endoscopic education, extensive improvements are needed to replace the ABTM. Incorporating simulator-incorporated TMs into an improved ABTM is an attempt to overcome the incompleteness of the current SBTM. Until a new simulator is developed to replace the ABTM, it is desirable to operate a simulator-integrated and well-coordinated TM that is suitable for each country and institution.

  • The LVC(Live, Virtual, Constructive) system of CTC(Combat Training Center) is at the very cutting edge of modeling and simulation technology, which has become widely accepted an enabler for a new military training transformation. In this paper, the architecture of LVC system is proposed for the Korean brigade-level CTC, and high level operational architecture, system architecture, and technical standard architecture are suggested.

  • This study was designed to asses the effect of Schultz's Autogenes Training on the pateints diagnosed as depression. We measured the patients' BDI by stage treated by Schultz's Autogenes Training on their adaptation to each stage. In result, BDI of both cases were decreased : the case 1 from 28 to 9 ; the case 2 from 19 to 16. We also recognized that patients' will for recovery is very important to be treated more effectively by Schultz's Autogenes Training: the patients' will of the case 1 was more larger than that of the case 2. After our treatments, Depression and some other symptoms were improved.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze empirically the job training effects on employment and income of the people with disabilities. In order to pursue such goal this study divides the job training into three factors: total training time, types of training supplier, and occupational training types. The major findings are: (1) Total training time decreased the probability of employment, but was not significant for income. (2) Among the types of training supplier, public job training center and firm increased the probability of employment. Private job training center increased income significantly. (3) Among the occupational training types, trainings focused on heavy industries and advanced industries increased both the probability of employment and income. According to the findings of this study, we should focus on the occupational training types, especially on trainings focused on heavy industries and advanced industries.

  • Cyber defense exercise should require training on the latest cyber attacks and have a similar process to defense cyber attacks. In addition, it is also important to train on cyber resilience that can perform normal tasks or support equivalent tasks regardless of cyber attacks. In this paper, we proposed and developed a cyber range that can strengthen the elements of cyber resilience by performing cyber defense exercise in real time based on the cyber crisis alert issued when a cyber attack occurs in Korea. When BLUE, YELLOW, ORANGE, and RED warnings are issued according to the cyber crisis, our system performs proactive response, real time response, and post response according to the alarm. It can improve trainee's capability to respond to cyber threats by performing cyber defense exercise in a cyber crisis environment similar to the actual situation of Korea.

  • Background As the demand for cosmetic surgery continues to rise, plastic surgery programs and the training core curriculum have evolved to reflect these changes. This study aims to evaluate the perceived quality of current cosmetic surgery training in terms of case exposure and educational methods. Methods A 16-question survey was sent to graduates who completed their training at a U.S. plastic surgery training program in 2017. The survey assessed graduates' exposure to cosmetic surgery, teaching modalities employed and their overall perceived competence. Case complexity was characterized by the minimum number of cases needed by the graduate to feel confident in performing the procedure. Results There was a 25% response rate. The majority of respondents were residents (83%, n=92) and the remaining were fellows (17%, n=18). Almost three quarters of respondents were satisfied with their cosmetic training. Respondents rated virtual training as the most effective learning modality and observing attendings' patients/cases as least effective. Perceived competence was more closely aligned with core curriculum status than case complexity, i.e. graduates feel more prepared for core cosmetic procedures despite being more technically difficult than non-core procedures. Conclusions Despite the variability in cosmetic exposure during training, most plastic surgery graduates are satisfied with their aesthetic training. Incorporation of teaching modalities, such as virtual training, can increase case exposure and allow trainees more autonomy. The recommended core curriculum is adequately training plastic surgery graduates for common procedures and more specialized procedures should be consigned to aesthetic fellowship training.

  • This paper presents quantitative analysis of a training system based on an unstable platform and a visual interactive system for improving sense of equilibrium. The training system consists of an unstable platform, a force plate, a safety harness, a monitoring device, and a personal-computer. To confirm the effects of the training system, fifteen young volunteers and five elderly volunteers went through a series of balance training using the system. During the training, we measured relevant parameters such as the time a subject maintain his or her center of pressure on a target, the time a subject moves his or her center of pressure to the target, and the mean absolute deviation of the trace before and after training with this system and training programs to evaluate the effects of the training. The results showed that the training system can successfully assess the gradual improvement of the postural control capability of the subject in the system and showed a possibility of improving balance of the subject. Moreover, the significant improvement in the postural capability of the elderly subject suggests that elderly subjects can benefit more from the training using the system for the improvement of sense of equilibrium.
