Prevalence of Gram-Positive Bacteria Isolated from Nasal Swabs and Hands of Healthy Army Trainees in the Republic of Korea

  • Skin and soft tissue infections caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) can occur especially in community populations such as military training camps. We investigated antimicrobial resistance patterns and molecular epidemiological characteristics of MRSA isolated from nasal swabs in healthy army trainees. From January 2018 to March 2018, one MRSA strain was isolated from nasal swab and hand of healthy army trainees. mecA gene detection, SCCmec and mec complex typing were performed to analyze the antimicrobial resistance patterns and molecular epidemiological characteristics of MRSA isolates. As a result, SCCmec and mec complex type of MRSA isolate from military trainees was not-typeable (n=1). In conclusion, not-typeable subtype of MRSA isolate from military trainees need to be confirmed by continuous follow-up study to determine whether there is a different genotype or a new subtype of genotype present in the Republic of Korea.

A Study on Working Conditions and Job Satisfaction of Foreigner Agricultural Trainee (외국인 농업연수생의 근로조건과 직무만족도)

  • This study was carried out to analyze the working conditions and Job Satisfaction of foreigner agricultural trainees. Foreigner training program is governmental project to decrease the shortage of labor resources in farm household and increase of income for trainees, to transfer the agricultural technology to sending country. For this purpose, data were gathered from 110 foreigner agricultural trainees consisted of 91 Uzbekistanian and 19 Mongolian by interview with questionnaire. The results are as follows: 1) the trainee answered to increase the income and technical training regardless of nationality, age, wedding, and types of agriculture. 2) the trainee felt crucial difficulties in language usage and homesick during the training program, 3) Training program should be concretized in working schedule.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of training Program for return farm. In detail, this study evaluated the trainees' satisfaction, achievement, and effectiveness of the education. This Study polled 250 trainees who presented the Return farm training program. The results of analysis are as follows; First, the satisfaction and the reliability on the educational institutions of return farm was the highest. Second, Trainees' replied that their Agricultural Techniques was improved. Especially, 'business administrative ability, cultivation techniques & management ability, and agricultural machinery using ability were enhanced. Their self-confidence of return farm was increased. Third, the correlation of satisfaction, achievement and effectiveness of training program was statistically significant. The findings of this study will be used to plan of return farm education program.

  • Stress refers to various body reactions that occur when humans are stimulated by environmental conditions. The quality of education and flight skills can suffer if flight trainees are constantly subjected to high stress, even in the case of flight trainees, and as a result, it can harm becoming a pilot. It is therefore the aim of this study to identify stress factors (flight training, career, financial support, relationships with family and teachers) that student pilots face, to determine how these factors affect flight and academic immersion and abandonment, and to improve the quality of flight education.

  • Currently, the construction industry is decreasing every year due to people's poor perception, high labor intensity, unstable employment structure, and welfare problems, as people avoid entry. Accordingly, this study investigated how to attract trainees and graduates from domestic construction education institutions to the construction industry. If institutional devices are prepared to prepare for the future by improving the welfare system such as unemployment benefits and retirement deductions in the construction industry, many trainees in their 20s and 30s will be attracted to the construction industry. If it helps expand hands-on education through on-site linkage and has the necessary technical skills for practice, it is believed that trainees and graduates in their 4s and 60s will be attracted to the construction industry.

  • Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it seems to have been impossible to run offline training courses. To overcome this situation, online training courses has been emerged. Just moving the educational environment from offline to online instead of re-designing the curriculum, however, is not effective for trainees. To maximize educational effectiveness, it is necessary to re-design the curriculum based on constructivist appoach which gives trainees experience on skills and knowledge about their job. As for re-designing the curriculum into real-time online practical learning based on constructivism, learning satisfaction and work efficacy of trainees may have been increased. From these results, HRD professionals in an IT company should need to consider how to structure the curriculum when they design the real-time online practical learnings.

  • Due to technological advancements, the data industry is growing, leading to a demand for data professionals in the market. Job seekers interested in data-related positions include not only those with relevant majors but also non-majors. Therefore, this study aims to identify effective educational methods for non-majors lacking data knowledge and skills to develop both data and business competencies. This research focuses on 28 trainees who participated in the "Data Youth Campus" program conducted by K-institution. The program spanned 10 weeks and was structured into three phases: fundamentals, practical training, and projects, systematically enhancing trainees' capabilities. The effectiveness of the curriculum and trainee management was verified by measuring and analyzing improvement of competencies and satisfaction with the program. This study offers valuable insights for the design and implementation of data education programs tailored to non-majors.

  • In the real environment, it is very limited for the trainees to participate the effective training using actual training equipments by themselves and also to simulate several hazard situations for safety because of the direct exposure to the hazards of the actual system. But the virtual environment(VE) can help the trainees to get the effective training participating by themselves and to simulate all kind of possible situation without the exposure to the hazards of the actual system. In this paper, the nor· developed VE system for safety training is introduced. The system is more effective and economic one than the other system developed in Japan.
