  • Fixed cycle traffic signal controller is pattern type controller. This method is that one concluding traffic proposal affect fixed cycle controller to deciding cycle time during 24 hours. Traffic intersection jam is caused traffic controller supervisor input wrong traffic proposal. The available to traffic controller is traffic proposal is not selected by an outward look but propriety traffic proposal is compared with each other. This paper presents that property traffic proposal adopted to fixed cycle controller by fuzzy analytic hierachy process and new proposal adopted fixed cycle controller is compared with others.

Monitoring traffic volume is not checking the number of vehicle but checking the length of access road, width of road, number of passing people, passing vehicle, delayed vehicle. The traffic signal control cycle is not fixed by only passing vehicle number but all related traffic proposal. This paper proposed selecting common characteristic out of each unrelated traffic proposal through Analytic Hierachy Process and this characteristic is applied to compose fuzzy sensor algorithm which find out new traffic volume concept of confusion degree. • In near future, more congested and dangerous marine traffic environment due to the rapid marine traffics increase and ship handling difficulty by enlargement of ship size is predicted. In this paper, an navigation supporting system proposal made to enhance the safe navigation by providing the collision avoidance informations to the navigator via marine traffic environment assessment. Proposed navigation supporting system displays results of marine traffic environment assessment, degree of the dangers and gives reason of danger which is enhance situational awareness of navigator. For this purpose, results of marine traffic environment assessment which is obtained via real time assessment sent to the designated server and through the connection with navigation supporting system navigator being enable to see all those informations on the computer screen Navigator would utilize those information to make a decision in the difficult waterways and thus safe navigation could be enhanced.

  • A discontinuous reception (DRX) operation is included in the Long Term Evolution (LTE) system to achieve power saving and prolonged battery life of the user equipment. An improvement in DRX power saving usually leads to a potential increase in the packet delay. An optimum DRX configuration depends on the current traffic, which is not easy to estimate accurately, particularly for non-real-time applications. In this paper, we propose a novel way to vary the DRX cycle length, avoiding a continuous estimation of the data traffic when only non-real-time applications are running with no active real-time applications. Because a small delay in non-real-time traffic does not essentially impact the user's experience adversely, we deliberately allow a limited amount of delay in our proposal to attain a significant improvement in power saving. Our proposal also improves the delay in service resumption after a long period of inactivity. We use a stochastic analysis assuming an M/G/1 queue to validate this improvement.

  • Opportunistic routing (OR) has been proposed as a viable approach to improve the performance of wireless multihop networks with lossy links. However, the exponential growth of the bandwidth-sensitive mobile traffic (e.g., mobile video streaming and online gaming) poses a great challenge to the performance of OR in term of bandwidth guarantee. To solve this problem, a novel mechanism is proposed to opportunistically forwarding data packets and provide bandwidth guarantee for the bandwidth-sensitive traffic. The proposal exploits the broadcast characteristic of wireless transmission and reduces the negative effect of wireless lossy links. First, the expected available bandwidth (EAB) and the expected transmission cost (ETC) under OR are estimated based on the local available bandwidth, link delivery probability, forwarding candidates, and prioritization policy. Then, the policies for determining and prioritizing the forwarding candidates is devised by considering the bandwidth and transmission cost. Finally, bandwidth-aware routing algorithm is proposed to opportunistically delivery data packets; meanwhile, admission control is applied to admit or reject traffic flows for bandwidth guarantee. Extensive simulation results show that our proposal consistently outperforms other existing opportunistic routing schemes in providing performance guarantee.

  • Due to rapidly inc Due to rapidly Increase the number of vehicles, the number of vehicle passed over the traffic capacity which is allowable on each road. In order to disperse the traffic in the congestion area, ITS related techniques have been studied advancing. However, the cost of setting up and managing In is considerable to recently improve the problem or In, various traffic analysis technique are problem using low cost RFID. In this paper, the method of RFID-Reader location selection, which is a core technique to analyze traffic amount and traffic context is proposal. In order to systematically utilize traffic related road information, GIS is used for the proposal method. In addition, a rule-based model using O/D data that is the important information for selection the location of traffic observation.

  • In port and its approach channel, traffic accidents such as collision, aground, minor collision have reached about 77% of total marine casualty in the area. In this paper, an attempt to enhance the safe navigation was proposed by offering marine traffic supporting system which helps VTS operator assist vessel effectively with the quantitative assessment on difficulty of each vessel. The system collects navigation data from onboard AIS, assesses the data in assessment mode to analyze the navigation difficulties of each vessel and displays the degree of danger of each vessel on the ECDIS in real-time to decide the intervention time or order of priority for VTS operator. The effectiveness of the system was verified by the VTS operators in Korea.

  • A cell scheduling method of Queue for the ATM switch is proposed and simulated. In this paper, we present the cell scheduling method proper to the proposed queue and the improved queue with Queue Sharing(QS) structure for CBR, VBR, ABR traffic. The proposed QS structure minimizes the CLS(Cell Loss Ratio) of ABR traffic and decreases the CLR of bursty VBR traffic. Also we propose a cell scheduling method using VRR(Variable Round Robin) scheme proper to the high-speed(ATM) switch. The VRR scheme provides a fairness in terms of service chance for the queues in the ATM switch as well as QOS of their cell delay characteristic of CBR and VBR traffic, QOS of ABR CLR. The simulation results show the proposed method achieves excellent CLR and average cell delay performance for the various ATM traffic services in the Queue Sharing structure.
