The Research on the Life-safety Implementation using the Natural Light LED Lamp in the Disaster Prevention and Safety Management (방재안전 자연광 LED 조명을 이용한 생활안전 개선에 관한 연구)

  • This paper is shown the new method using LED Light, which the light environment is upgraded the natural LED light in the area of Disaster Prevention and Safety Management (PDSD), which the events of deaths is reduced on the Suicide, the Infectious diseases, the safety accidents, the Traffic Accident, the crime, the fire, the Nature Disaster, and which the health and the environment and the safety is implemented using the value of the color LED Light. Research findings include,during 3 weeks in the November 2016, in the ten residents (average living 28.7 years, age 67.5 years) with depressive symptoms in the northern part of Seoul, according to the request of the user, the PDSD natural light LED lighting was installed in the home bedroom or the living room, expectations for the ability to restore physical and mental stability were high (88%), in the same way, after 1 week and 3 weeks, the physical and mental changes were compared and the results,84% in the first week and 90% in the third week and thereafter, the effect of relieving depression was high. We conclude that patients with depression have a good sleep, an uneasy feeling, a sense of security, a good night's sleep, and a good feeling. The PDSD LED Light is expected to contribute in the various areas, which reduced the suicides, which give increased immunity from infectious diseases, which give a crash to reduce accidents caused by negligence, which improve the safe operation of heavy vehicles in which a traffics accident incidence installed on the highest point, which improve the safety function on the 'safety way home' for the safety of the community, which due to fire gives alleviate the emotional anxiety of firefighters, which improve the environment for long-term control room working during decision making caused by natural disasters.

  • Orthotropic steel deck bridge has much advantages such as the light deadweight, so the construction of orthotropic steel deck is profitable for the long-span bridges Although the system has a lot of merits, it happens some damages by the traffic density and the fatigue cracks of welding. The cross-connection of longitudinal rib and transversal rib is one of the weakest at the fatigue. The secondary stresses which are from the out-plane deformation of transversal rib and the torsion of longitudinal rib make the topical stress concentration phenomenon. The Bulkhead Plate for prevention of this stress concentration phenomenon was applied by changing the orthotropic steel deck of Williamsburg bridge in USA. But, it is principle that a Bulkhead Plate is not established in the domestic design standard. Therefore, it is estimated that the study for installation of Bulkhead Plate is needed. This study with considering these circumstances proves efficiency of Bulkhead Plate and will be presented optimal design details through finite element analysis according to change the geometrical of Bulkhead Plate and the cross-connection area of longitudinal and transversal rib

  • With the development of Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) and Optical Cross-Connect (OXC) systems, an efficient integration of IP and WDM has been focused. The Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF) proposes a new model that is called Overlay model for the integration of IP and WDM. In the Overlay model, UNI 1.0 signaling is adopted to establish signaling interface between Optical and IP network. UNI 1.0 signaling consists of a lot of functions; especially, reliability, light traffic, and etc. For that reason, Srefresh and ACK messages in UNI signaling support reliable messaging and reduce the amount of information that must be transmitted and processed in order to maintain RSVP states and processing time. This paper focuses on an implementation of Srefresh and ACK messages based on UNI 1.0 signaling and comparison between before and after implementing. The results show that Srefresh and ACK messages improve intelligence in the control plane of the optical network, which will make them more survivable, flexible, reliable, and controllable.

The Effects of Weight Control Program on Body Composition, Blood Pressure, Serum Lipid and Self-Regulation Behavior in Obese College Women (비만중재프로그램이 비만 여대생의 신체구성, 혈압, 혈중지질 및 자기조절행위에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of weight control program on body composition(body mass index and waist-hip ratio), blood pressure, serum lipids(total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein) and self-regulation behavior in obese college women. Methods: Forty seven obese subjects were divided into experimental(22) and control(25) groups. The weight control program lasting 12 weeks consisted of a traffic-light diet, jumping-rope exercises, and behavior modification methods with e-mail counseling. The data were collected from 29 March to 17 September of 2004. The variables were assessed before and after intervention for 12 weeks in two groups. Then, those were repeated after a 12 week suspension of intervention in the experimental group. The data were analysed by the SPSS computer program. Results: BMI, HDL, LDL and self-regulation behavior levels showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups. While there were no significant differences in waist-hip ratio, blood pressure, total cholesterol and triglyceride. Conclusion: The weight control program had a positive effect on obese college women, and can be used to control obesity.

  • Recently, the certification procedure for exhaust emission regulation of LDV has tested with the NEDC mode in the laboratory. But the on-road exhaust emissions exceed the standard emission limits. Therefore, it is important to analyze the real-driving emissions (RDE) with a portable emissions measurement system (PEMS). In present study, the on-road emissions were measured with a PEMS and evaluated by moving averaging window (MAW) method. Also, it was compared with the $CO_2$ and $NO_x$ emissions for real-driving and test modes from euro-6 light-duty vehicles equipped with SCR and LNT systems. In results, on-road $NO_x$ emission has been 2.3-10.0 times higher than the standard $NO_x$ emission limit on NEDC mode. The reason was that the test modes did not reflect traffic and various real-driving patterns sufficiently.

An Experimental Evaluation and Economic Analysis for LED Traffic Signal (LED 교통신호등 현장적용성 평가 및 경제성 분석)

  • LED(Light Emitting Diodes)는 반도체를 이용한 발광소자로서 동화상 광고물이나 가변정보표지판(VMS)등에 주로 활용되고 있으며 최근 외국의 경우 LED 기술을 교통신호등에 적용하여 시범설치 및 확대 적용 설치하여 운영 중에 있으며 국내에서는 산업체, 학계, 연구소 등에서 연구 개발 중에 있다. 본 연구는 현재 이러한 산 학 연의 노력에 의해 개발된 LED 교통신호등을 현장에 적용하기에 앞서서 실내실험과 현장실험을 통하여 에너지 절감효과 및 현장적용성을 검증하고 경제성 분석을 통한 타당성을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 내용으로써 기존 전구식 신호등과 LED 신호등의 발광원리 및 특징 비교 분석, 실내실험을 통한 에너지 절감효과 검증, LED 보행자 신호등 현장적용성 평가, LED 신호등으로 서울시의 기존 신호등을 연차적으로 교체하는 경우에 대한 경제적 분석이 실시되었다. 실내실험을 통해 LED 신호등의 에너지 절감효과가 평균 76% 임을 검증하였고 보행자 신호등에 대한 현장 실험에서 설문응답자의 83.7%가 LED 신호등의 시인성이 우월하다고 나타나 현장적용성은 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. LED 신호등에 대한 경제성 분석결과 자본회수기간은 6년으로 나타났으며 향후 기존 신호등의 고장 및 유지 보수 등에 의한 차량정체 비용, 교통사고 비용 및 소자기술 발전을 고려하면 이보다 단축될 것으로 판단된다. 향후 차량등에 대한 운전자들의 반응 및 장기적인 안정성 등에 대한 종합적인 실험이 추가적으로 이뤄져야 할 것이며 이를 바탕으로 하여 LED 신호등에 대한 규격서 제정 등 법 제도 측면이 이루어진 후 LED 국내 기술 수준 등을 총체적으로 고려하여 LED 교통신호등에 대한 보급방안이 강구되어야 할 것이다.

  • Soilcrete has been the traditional material for the paving and soft ground improvement techniques. But because the durability is not excellent and the quality is not homogeneous, it has not been used for the various purposes up to date. And because the quality of soilcrete is apt to be changed by the content of water and soil stabilizer, and the kind of soil and soil stabilizer, it is not free of cares. But with the increase of naturally oriented needs for the light traffic road such as pedestrian roads of the garden, golf courses and sidewalks, the cases of soilcrete paving has been increased recently. This study aims at making the reference table of the mix design in accordance with the required design specifications for the soilcrete admixtures by the FGC soil stabilizer by using the statistical experiment method. The treated soil is the clay which are widely spreaded in Korea. As the results of this study we can derive the effective reference mix design table for the clay soil treated by the FGC soil stabilizer in accordance with the compressive strength of 50∼200kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ soilcrete with respect to the contents of water, soil stabilizer and fine sand.

  • 최근 자율주행자동차에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라 교통 상황을 인식하는 방법에 대한 연구도 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 특히 교통신호등의 인식은 치명적인 결과를 야기하는 교통사고와 밀접하게 연관된다는 점에서 중요성이 더욱 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 비전 시스템을 기반으로 한 교통신호등 인식 방법을 제안한다. 차선, 표지판 등과는 다르게 교통신호등은 빛을 발하는 특징이 있으며 그 모양과 형태 또한 규격화 되어 있다. 이러한 특징 중 색상과 형태 특징을 이용하여 두 단계의 추출과정을 거쳐 교통신호등을 인식한다. 먼저 HSV 색 공간에서 적색, 녹색, 주황색의 빛을 발하는 영역을 찾아낸 뒤, 신호의 원형 특징을 이용해 가로, 세로 사이즈와 크기로 신호의 후보를 추출한다. 다음, 신호등의 검은 박스 영역을 찾기 위해 추출한 신호 후보군의 주변부가 검정색인지를 확인한다. 최종적으로 신호등의 박스 부분을 검출하여 신호를 발하는 위치를 기반으로 신호를 인식한다. 실험결과 많은 계산량을 요구하는 기계학습을 사용하지 않고도 실시간 처리와 높은 인식률로 교통 신호를 인식할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Size Distribution and Source Identification of Airborne Particulate Matter and Metallic Elements in a Typical Industrial City

  • The size distribution of airborne particulate matter (PM) and the concentrations of associated metallic elements were investigated in a busy urban region of a typical Korean industrial city. The PM concentrations measured during the spring, except for those in the size range of 1.1 to 2.1 ${\mu}m$, were slightly higher than the PM concentrations in the summer. Coarse particles contributed greatly to the variation in PM concentrations in the spring, while fine and submicron particles contributed largely to the variation in PM concentrations in the summer. The difference in size modes of the PM concentrations between spring and summer may be explained by the Asian dust effect and its accompanying wind direction and speed. Extremely high enrichment factors (EFs) values (6,971 to 60,966) for all of the size distributions in PM were identified for cadmium (Cd). High EFs values (12 to 907) were also identified for other heavy metals including Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn and Mn. Low EF values (0.29 to 8.61) were identified for Ca, K, Mg and Na. These results support the common hypothesis that most heavy metals in ambient PM have anthropogenic sources and most light metals have crustal sources. The results of principal components analyses and cluster analyses for heavy metals indicate that the principal sources of PM and metals were emissions from non-ferrous metal smelters, oil combustion, incinerators, vehicular traffic and road dust.

Automated Code Generation Framework for Industrial Automation Applications based on Timed Automata Model (타임드 오토마타 모델 기반 산업 자동화 응용 자동생성 프레임워크)

  • Due to their convergence with state-of-the-art ICT technologies, the complexity and reliability demands of industrial automation systems have been rapidly increasing. In recent years, to cope with these demands, several research works have been carried out to adopt formal methods to the application development cycle at the early design stage. In this paper, we propose an automated code generation framework for industrial automation applications, based on a timed automata model. As a case study, we developed a formal model for a traffic light control system and verified the timing properties described in the specification. We finally demonstrated that the operation of a test-bed based on the auto-generated native code was identical to that of the model specification.
