안개지역의 교통사고심각도 모형개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of a Traffic Accident Ratio Model in Foggy Areas)

  • As the risk of traffic accidents caused by mists emerged as a social problem, recently safety facilities to be prepared for mists are being actively installed when designing roads. But in some part, the facilities are being installed imprudently without analyzing the extent of occurrences of mists that would increase the risk of traffic accidents and appropriate countermeasures against the occurrences of mists are not being suggested. For that reason, in this study, first questionnaire surveys were executed on road users in order to draw the factors affecting the traffic accidents caused by mists, a mist traffic accident predicting model was developed and an accident seriousness determining model that can determine accident seriousness was developed. In this way, by extracting major factors affecting mist traffic accidents to grasp risk factors in roads to be caused by mists, safety of roads can be enhanced and traffic accidents in road operations can be decreased. As the affecting factors influencing mist traffic accidents, were extracted sightable distances, durations of mists and whether daytime or nighttime as major factors and the plan to install the facilities for the prevention of mist traffic accidents was suggested to prevent the traffic accidents to be caused by those factors and also the plan to operate roads considering sightable distances was suggested to solve the problem of insufficient sightable distances to be caused by mists was suggested. It is judged that the road safety in the areas where mists occur can be improved through foregoing methods.

  • Efforts are being made to prevent traffic accidents within the child protection zone. Efforts are being made to prevent accidents by enacting safety facilities and laws to prevent traffic accidents in the school zone. However, traffic accidents in school zones continue to occur. If the driver can know the situation in the child protection zone in advance, accidents can be reduced. In this paper, we design a camera that eliminates blind spots in school zones and a number recognition camera system that can collect pre-traffic information. Design a LIDAR system that recognizes vehicle speed and pedestrians. Design an LED guidance system that delivers information to drivers without smart devices. We study time series analysis and artificial intelligence algorithms that collect and process pedestrian and vehicle information recognized by cameras and LIDAR. In the artificial intelligence traffic accident prevention system learned by deep learning, before entering the school zone, the school zone information is sent to the driver through the Force Push Service and the school zone information is delivered to the driver on the LED sign. try to reduce accidents.

Implementation of Smart Traffic Safety Systems using Fuzzy Theory

  • Traffic accidents due to excessive speed frequently occur in places where traffic signal controllers are installed, places where sharp curves exist, or places where the traffic signal cycle does not match the current time. These traffic accidents cause economic loss due to the destruction of road facilities and structures, and cause a big problem of increasing the number of traffic accident deaths. When a traffic accident occurs, leaving a tire mark before or after a car crash, pre-collision speed of the car is calculated using the law of conservation of momentum or the skid mark formula. In the skip skid mark generated in ABS brake vehicles and the combshaped yaw mark generated by tire trace caused by lateral sliding, there is a difference of 30-40% in the reliability of the vehicle speed calculated by the smite mark. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that can improve the calculation reliability in vehicle speed by using skid marks in order to compensate for this problem. In addition, we present an intelligent speed calculation algorithm for traffic safety and a computer simulation in order to prevent traffic accidents by estimating the speed of a vehicle, using Skid marks, Yaw marks, and ABS brake characteristics and fuzzy rules.

화물차사고 비율에 따른 고속도로 교통사고 분석모형에 대한 연구 (A Study of Traffic Accident Analysis Model on Highway in Accordance with the Accident Rate of Trucks)

  • 고속도로에서 화물차는 승용차에 비해 도로의 많은 부분을 점유한다. 이로 인해 도로의 용량은 상대적으로 감소하며, 국소적으로 주변 운전자에게 위협적인 요소로 작용한다. 화물차 사고는 일반적인 사고와 달리 사고 특성이 다르므로 분석 방법 또한 일반적인 사고와 다르게 적용해야 한다. 사고 분석 방법 중 사고예측모형은 특정 구간에 대한 사고건수를 예측하며 교통계획을 수립할 때 사고 예방을 위한 대책 수립과 도로의 위험성을 진단할 때 활용된다. 이에 본 연구는 고속도로의 화물차 간 사고 비율을 적용하여 사고예측모형에 투입될 수 있는 보정계수를 산출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구를 위해 고속도로를 대상으로 사고 자료를 수집하였으며 2014~2016년까지 3개 년도의 교통량 및 사고 자료를 활용하였다. 연간 사고건수를 토대로 사고예측모형을 개발하였으며, 본 연구를 통해 화물차 간 사고 비율에 따른 사고예측모형을 비교함으로써 실질적인 고속도로 사고예측모형을 확인하고 그에 대한 대책을 제시하고자 한다.

Driving Conditions and Occupational Accident Management in Large Truck Collisions

  • Objective: Objective of this study is to provide characteristics of injury frequency and severity by driving condition in large truck-related traffic collisions. Background: Traffic accidents involving large trucks draw a lot of attention in accident prevention and management policies since they bring about severe human and financial damages. Method: In order to identify the major risk factors of accidents by driving condition, 255 recognized traffic accidents by large truck drivers were analyzed in terms of time of the day, road type, and shape of the road. Results: The driving conditions in the results are represented by the following form of combination, "Road Type (Non-expressway or Express) - Shape of Roads (Straight, Curved, Downhill, or Intersection) - Time of Accidents (Day or Night)". In the analysis of injury frequency, Non-expressway-Straight-Day condition was the most frequent one. Meanwhile, Expressway-Curved-Day, Non-expressway-Curved-Night and Non-expressway-Intersection-Night were evaluated as high level in view of injury severity. Also, Expressway-Straight-Night is the driving condition that is the highest in risk among the conditions that have to be managed as grade "High". Non-expressway-Straight-Night, Non-expressway-Downhill-Day, and Non-expressway-Curved-Day are also categorized as grade "High". Conclusion and Application: Safety managers in the fields require basic information on accident prevention that can be easily understood. The research findings will serve as a practical guideline for establishing preventive measures for traffic accidents.

지역 교통사고 원인조사를 통한 사고예방과 기회비용 연구 (A case study on road traffic accident prevention and opportunity costs by means of local accident investigation)

  • 본 연구는 지역 교통사고 원인조사의 관리주체인 도로관리청에서 교통사고를 효율적이면서 효과적으로 관리하고 시행할 수 있는 교통사고 원인조사 기법 및 절차를 제시하였다. 또한, 시범도시를 선정하여 최근 3년간 교통사고 중 사망사고 자료를 바탕으로 사고형태지도, 구조분석표 및 사고도표의 작성, 사고누적지점 및 구간의 선정과 우선순위, 현장조사 및 개선시책의 결정, 기회비용의 추정, 모니터링 방안 등 향후 도로관리청의 교통사고 원인조사의 기술적, 조직적 및 행정적 프로세스를 적용하여 예상되는 사고감소효과에 대해 분석하였다.

119 구급대 구급차 교통사고 현황 분석 (Analysis of traffic accidents involving 119 emergency)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate both the occurrence status of emergency vehicles traffic accidents and contents of the experiences of emergency medical technicians (EMTs) in fire station. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 451 EMTs in fire stations in 6 cities provinces from February 9, 2017 to February 27, 2017. Results: Of 451 EMTs, 207 (45.9%) had traffic accidents experience. Regarding environment-related features, results indicated hour (12~18 hours), place (national highway), traffic flow (smooth), weather (clear), season (winter), and day (Friday). Regarding correlation analysis of differences in the number of ambulance traffic accidents pursuant to general features of accident-experienced drivers as a human factor, there were no significant differences in recruitment, driving careers of regular cars, driving careers of fire engines, and class but there were significant differences in fire-fighting careers. Accident experience in the group with careers over 6 years and less than 10 years higher than in the other groups. Conclusion: Efforts to expand fire engine driving education programs for the prevention of traffic accidents involving 119 emergency vehicles are required.

『신호현시 표출 방법』에 따른 교통사고 발생빈도 분석 연구: 대전광역시 관내 중심으로 (A Study on the Frequency of Traffic Accidents by Traffic Signal Timing: Focused on Daejeon)

  • 본 연구는 지속 확대 설치되고 있는 교통신호기가 교통사고 예방에 어떤 효과가 있는지 분석하기 위한 것이다. 대전광역시 교통신호기 1,602개소 중에서 2013~2019년까지 7년간 TCS에 등록된 신호위반 등 교통사고 자료 7,045건을 수기 검색하였다. 교통사고 다발 상위 20개소 교차로를 특정하고, 교통사고 조사기록과 현장지도를 열람하여 위반차량의 주행 방향, 신호현시를 비교분석하고, 신호위반 교통사고 원인을 신호운영 설계(운영) 미흡과 운전자 과실(고의)을 구분해서 문제점 및 개선안을 제안하였다. 분석 결과 직좌동시신호와 중복현시 등에서 신호위반 교통사고 75%가 발생하였고, 황색신호에서 발생하는 교통사고 대책으로 황색신호시간 연장 또는 전적색(All Red)신호 운영시 교통사고가 줄어들었다. 비보호 좌회전은 정상신호로 개선이 필요하다. 또한, 경찰에서는 교통사고 현장지도 및 신호관련 자료에 대하여 수기 열람으로 교통사고 예방대책 수립시 많은 인력과 활용도가 떨어져 교통업무관리시스템(TCS)의 개선이 필요하다. 본 연구는 현장에서 수집한 방대한 데이터를 분석하여 개선방안을 제시한 것으로 신호운영에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.
